I have a MiVue 745, it’s worked really well since installation. Recently (after 24 months) a message came up on the screen to ‘Format the SD card’. I followed the menu prompts to the last selection, which was Formatting. I selected this and then selected the ‘tick’, a message came up saying ‘formatting’. After about 10 seconds, it reverted back to the menu. I assumed the job was done. However, every time I start the car, within a couple of seconds the ‘Format the SD card’ re-appears ! Just wondering if anyone else is getting this problem and/or if you know how to fix it ?

@David P - Did you ever get this resolved? I know it is over 12 months old.
No, I gave up waiting for the support team and decided to buy another SD card.
Hi David & Odent, MicroSD cards are consumable products, and have a finite lifespan. depending on the card size and the amount of driving, a high endurance MicroSD card can last between 12 to 36 months. if after formatting your card, your device still tells you to format, a new SD card may be required.
to ensure longevity, we recommend formatting your micro SD card once a month.
For more information on MicroSD cards and maintenance, you can refer to our website here: external link

Thanks, not sure why it took over 12 months to respond ? But I understand now.
This is [Content Removed]! I formatted my SD Card (Which IS NOT Inernal memory) I factory resetted the device, for some reason, I live in Australia, yet the New Zealand maps are somehow installed. I cannot delete them even after a factory reset! What I have to say is, years ago, I loved Navman... nowaday's it's like you are the Nokia of Today! Fix [Content Removed] or close your doors! Now a GPS that I used for speed calibration, speed limits is useless except for the dash cam of which you can buy on Aliexpress for $5
Almost every time I start my car, my navman says SD card error. I unplug and re plug and most times that fixes it. Sometimes I have to do that twice. Only does this on first start up. Have replaced the SD card 3 times!! Can youmake a suggestion please. Been doing this since first installed.

Can you leave a Navman MiVue permanently plug in to your lighter socket
Hi Clive, Thank you for reaching out to us. Regarding your query, you can leave the Navman MiVue plugged in to your lighter socket even when your car is off. If you would like to keep the device powered on and use the Parking Mode feature, you will need to install a power box such as the MiVue Smart Box hardwired to your car’s battery. We recommend that you have an auto electrician to install the MiVue Smart Box. You may click the link below to purchase the MiVue Smart Box. Australia: external link
If you will have any other queries, you may also send an email to our email support team at pcnsupportaus@navman.com.au.

such a useless answer from Navman always pointing to FAQ site and support email, what is the purpose of chat?
Hi there,
Have had my Navman MiVue 680 now for about 2 years. I have not used it in the last year as it doesn't work in the car. (Have tried different cars for completeness) I am using the same cable the unit came with. It works when I plug into the computer but not in the car.
Would this be a battery issue and is it worth getting a new one? (Battery) If so can this be change easily?
Cheers
Bill
You need to have the unit plugged into the cars power via the 12 volt plug. Battery dies at fter in about 18 months . Unit should work in power from car. Check cable for continuity. J have had my unit for 2 years. The mount broke and had no support from manufacturer as unit is deemed superseded. Fixed mount myself. Personally, I would consider an alternate product due to the poor customer support. Admittedly the unit did a road tour of Denmark covering 3000k without a hitch.
Thanks for the reply. Yes it was working fine for the 1st year, then started to turn off after about 1 minute while in the car. Tried swapping leads and vehicles and did the same thing. Plugged into computer and worked fine.
Hi Bill, We suspect the original 12v in-car power adapter is not providing enough power. Did you swap the car power adapter with the same brand (this must be from Navman that uses 5V/1A)? If not, we highly suggest to use the Navman lead that's suitable to your device. It's available here: external link
Thanks, Navman Support Team
