My MiVue740 will not stay on even when connected to a power supply. I cannot access any menu items due to it shutting down after about two seconds. Do I need to replace the battery?

I have a mivue 740 ( 3 years old now ) and am very happy with it however the sun is very harsh in Townsville and my suction cap has given in to it have tried to replace it but each time i buy one ( on line unable to purchase local ) I am told it was definitely the correct one but after 3 purchases the ball is always to big can anyone help me please . I am trying to update or at least check for updates for my MiVue 740. It doesn't always record and reverts to 2014. MiVue desktop doesn't work. A Mac version doesn't connect to the device, freezes. Can you provide a solution please for both problems

I got 0 help from Navman, but I reset my phone and deleted all the apps on it then I could view the live video. Once I downloaded the apps back onto my phone I couldn’t view it anymore… also, I use an iPhone and friend bought the same camera and he uses Samsung and didn’t have any issues.. I dropped kicked the camera down the street and bought a different camera.

I have been trying to get live view for 2 weeks now and I think I have finally had a result. You have to go into settings find the MiVue app go in and turn off mobile data at the bottom. I then can see live view. Been cutting and shutting wires very frustrated not a lot of help from Navman.

Have tried to format SD card. When I activate the tick enabling the format process, the screen returns to the formatting question, therefore not completing the formatting process.

Hi,

I am trying to recover footage from the 5/2/21 From an incident. 

I've connected to the pc and am able to view the last days I drove the vehicle being the 12/2/21, 11/2/21, 10/2/21 but before that the date is marked as 4/3/21(a month ahead in the future).  I've been through all the videos and there is footage from the 4/2/21 but not the day I need of the 5th. 

FYI I didn't use the car from 6/2/21 to 9/2/21.

Could you please help.

My mivue740 is connected to my cars battery for constant power. Everything including parking mode has been working fine, however, recently parking mode is not working when my car is turned off. Also, when my car is off, I’m unable to turn the dash cam on to have a look at playback videos. It no longer detects any motion or g shock movements when the car is off.

Hi Alf, Sorry for the troubles. By default, if an event occurs, such as sudden impact, high-speed driving, an aggressive turn or an accidental crash, the G sensor will activate an "emergency" recording (an event recording). We recommend adjusting the sensitivity level of the G-sensor by going to Settings > G-Sensor Sensitivity > Emergency.

I hardwired this dashcam to the battery so it can have parking mode working. But Even when I have it only on g sensor mode the motion detect keeps recording all the time and it's going to ruin my car battery.

I have this Dashcam and I use the data to download GPS data to Google Earth to map where we have travelled. Do you have something that would allow the Dashcam to operate via a battery pack that has a USB plug (To make it able to be used outside of the car to get The GPS data when not driving) instead of needing to plug in to the cigarette lighter?

I have been given a MiVUE745 as a fathers day gift. I have installed into car correctly, I have installed MiVue software on my laptop correctly. I have tested the camera of a few laps around the city. The picture quailty is A1Perfect as is the sound when I playback through the Camera itself...When I backup the footage/clip to the laptop and access the MP4 file the film quality is perfect however the audio is non existent through the laptop..What am I doing wrongly that would cause the audio not to play on laptop..In fact, I tested the audio using a USB direct to the camera , accessing the MP4 file and played through Laptop and same deal, film quality perfect, Audio NIL....no sounds what so ever...... There is an option to have it always on or to have it turn off automatically after recording starts. For the LCD settings, go to Settings>LCD Standby.

Hi Ken, Thanks for posting your query. AKB is right, please check if your device only on LCD standby by going to Settings > System > LCD Standby. Please also ensure you are using a Micro SD card designed for use in Dash Cameras. Faulty or incompatible Micro SD cards can cause your device to not function correctly, may arise problems with the recorded files, freeze, and even cause the device to intermittently turn off or even not power on. I was wanting to mount it up by the mirror off the screen and power it from 12v from the light source. From my experience the suctions break down with sunlight and they fall off the screen every few weeks. Is there another lead available rather than the huge cigar lighter plug .. ? Thank you
