Hi, I have the 765 and for some unexplained reason the entire LCD image has flipped upside down. Not just the camera image but the entire image including the button icons that are supposed to be on the right hand side of the screen. I have looked through the manual and can't find a fix. Hi, how long does the battery last and can it be changed? Mines shat itself! Please don’t tell to go and read something, just want a straight up answer with no BS. Thanks

Navman
Navman   DM

Hi Luci M., Thank you for reaching out to us. The device is designed to function only when connected to a constant power source. The built-in battery’s function is to allow the device time to save video files to the memory card in the event of the power supply being suddenly severed. Please note that the device’s battery is not user-replaceable.

If the device is turning itself off, please try the steps below: 1. Please check the LCD Standby settings on the device. To do this, go to System Settings > System > LCD Standby and set to Always on if you would like the screen to stay on. 2. Please perform a hard reset while the unit is connected to the Navman power source. To reset, press the reset hole beside the memory card slot using pin or a paperclip until the device restarts. Please also make sure that the car power adapter used is a genuine Navman car power adapter.

3. Please ensure you are using a Micro SD card designed for use in Dash Cameras. Faulty or incompatible Micro SD cards can cause your device to not function correctly, may arise problems with the recorded files, freeze, and even cause the device to intermittently turn off or even not power on. For the list of recommended SD cards, please refer to the link below: external link

If the above steps won’t resolve the problem, please send an email to our email support team at pcnsupportaus@navman.com.au for further assistance.

Hi thanks for that. Unit works ok, just doesn’t save settings after it shuts down, gotta reset everything to how i want it. Didn’t do this before when battery was good, but now it’s just kaka and annoying to set everything every morning. Suppose it’s like everything and everyone, things get tired/old and stops working after awhile.

Navman
Navman   DM

Hi Luci M., We are sorry to hear that. The problem may be related to the battery, but to further isolate the fault, please try to update the firmware of the device. For the steps, please refer to the link below: external link

If the firmware update won’t resolve the problem, please send us a private message or send an email to our email support team at pcnsupportaus@navman.com.au with your Full name, Phone number, Device’s Serial number, Shipping Address and the Date of Purchase so we can further assist you. We just got the mivue765 and it was working perfect for a month, but all off a sudden it does not save features we have tuned off. It's very annoying and I have tried everything to get the settings to work again.

Bel G.

I am having the same problem (same model) and just contacted the company, they were helpful and have given me some things to try. I have had mine for a while now though so mine could be the battery dying, which is annoying. They did say it might be able to be repaired, but I haven't gotten that far yet. Mine was working perfectly until about 3 or so weeks ago.

Hi Jeff, Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear that you are having problems with the device. Based on the fault that you had described, it sound like it is related to the software. How can I turn off the forward collision alert. It activates in traffic at lights etc, Annoying.

boggle103
boggle103

The answer is amongst the other 'turn off's' in the manual, which were a bit hard to find. My car has its own collision alert, also on Tassy winding roads the lane deviation was always activating - so turn them ALL off. Note - after numerous contacts NAVMAN were of absolutely no use!
