How do you reset the camera? Ours seems to be locked on. I have removed it from the power source but it is still showing that it is charging and it is locked. No matter what button I press it will not shut down or reboot. Have removed the memory card, put back in but nothing.

Hi on my Mivue the girl gives me overspeed warnings which i like but most times when she does it will be say i am in a 60 kmh zone and i am doing 50 she will tell me to slow down .Do i need to to do an update as i only have had 4weeks thanks. also when i turn it on sometimes the dash cam is very dark but if i turn it off again then back on it is ok

Navman
Navman   DM

Hi Bill, Thank you for posting your query. For us to properly address the concerns that you raised, can you please confirm the model number of the device that you have? Based on the information that you provided about the overspeed warning, it sounds like the device that you have is a car navigational device and it is not a dash camera such as the Mivue 780.

Thank you.

Hi Bill, Thank you for posting your query. To properly isolate the problem, please perform the following steps below. 1. Check the Speed Limit Alert settings on the device. Make sure that it is set to “Auto”. To do this, go to Settings>Safety>Warnings>Speed Limit Alerts>Audio Alert. 2. Perform a hard reset on the device by pressing the power button for about 5-10 seconds until the device shut down. 3. Update the device maps and software via WiFi. Please refer to the link below for the steps. external link  4. Update the device to the latest image update. Please refer to the link below for the steps. external link

If you already have the latest map and software update installed and this has not resolved your problem, please fill out the information below and please contact our email support team at pcnsupportaus@navman.com.au. a. Please provide the location of the mapping error and the type of mapping discrepancy (for example: Speed limit incorrect. The Navman is showing 50km/h but speed limit is 60km/h). We will test this on our end. b. If we cannot find the error, we may ask you for additional information. c. If we do find the error, we will report the error to the mapping provider or provide another solution.

I have uploaded MiVUE Manager and finally I could hear recorded audio :) . When I uploaded the same video clip to my video editing software the audio could not be heard. Could you please tell me why? Regards, Ernest

Navman
Navman   DM

Hi Ernest, Thank you for posting your query. There is a possibility that the audio format of the video file is not supported by the video editing software. It is the reason why we always recommend to use our MiVue Manager in viewing and playing the recorded video files of the dashcam.

If you have any further queries, you may send an email to our email support team at pcnsupportaus@navman.com.au.

My Navman 780 functions perfectly except for be problem. The connection to my phone is intermittent. Mostly it will not connect. The wifi Setting on my phone shows the Navman is connected. But on the Navman itself it mostly displays the wifi icon with and exclamation mark. And the myvue app says there’s no connection. There does not appear to be reason for this. I’m running an iPhone 6s with latest OS. Can anyone offer some advice?

Navman
Navman   DM

Hi Ralph, Sorry for the troubles. The first thing I would suggest is to perform hard reset to the device by poking the reset hole on the top of it. Then, try to reconnect again to the app. If the problem persists, please uninstall and reinstall the MiVue App (not MiVue Pro app) again and on your mobile phone’s Settings > Navman MiVue Pro > Ensure Location is set to Always, Photos is on, Background App Refresh is on and Mobile Data is On.

Hope this helps! Otherwise, feel free to email our support team at PCNSupportAus@navman.com.au

Navman
Navman   DM

Hi Kevin, This warning is the Speed Camera warnings. This model does not come with updates for the Speed Camera warnings. However, we did release a one off update for the Speed camera warnings. It is available here: external link  NAVMAN_English Navman.html

This is the last and only update available for this model.

Some of our newer models do come with free monthly Speed camera warning updates.

When i turn the car off the camera turns off does the unit have an internal battery

Navman
Navman   DM

Hi David, Thank you for your question. The built-in battery’s function in your device is to allow the device time to save video files to the memory card in the event of the power supply being suddenly severed.

The device is designed to function only when connected to a constant power source. If you wish to utilize the park mode feature, you will need to install a power box such as the MiVue Smart Box hardwired to your car’s battery. We recommend that you have an auto electrician to install the MiVue Smart Box. You may click one of the links below to purchase the MiVue Smart Box.

I am ready to set up my MiVUE780 Dash cam, have had it for some time but had another unit in the car. I have it connected to my PC with the USB cable, can I set it up this way?? I find the instruction sheet difficult to read as the print is quite small.

Navman
Navman   DM

Hi Compvet, Thank you for your question. You may need to connect your device to a wall charger or in-car charger for setting up. This is due to your device will display a data transfer screen when connected to a computer.
