Nestle Kool Mints made in China are not cool. They are absolutely nothing like the product that was made in Australia and New Zealand. Nestle’s attempt at globalisation of this product is a complete failure. If I wanted Chinese sweets I would go to an Asian grocery store.

Does anyone know of a suitable equivalent to Kool Mints?. The rubbish being made in China, it is nothing like the original ones made in Australia and New Zealand. Why can't Nestle make them in Australia?.

The new Minty Cool Mints are a sad, sad reflection of companies trying to dumb down products. KOOL MINTS are a CLASSIC CONFECTIONARY and was perfect and unique especially when they used to come in a tin. WHY MESS WITH A CLASSIC? The new formula is disgusting, the texture no longer smooth and nougat like. The new minty formula insulting. I have life long memories associated with its flavour, size and texture. My grandfather brought these as treats every time he visited us since I was 5 years of age, I am now 55. They are my fondest remembrance of him. Every time I taste a KOOL MINT it reminds me of him - NOT ANY MORE. ALLEN’S/NESTLE you have just lost a 50 year, 5 decades client. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA. Kool Mints now taste like a poor man’s mentos.

Totally agree Wayne. I hope Nestle revert back to the old recipe, flavour, texture and size too as you said.

This is the answer I got on my review: They used to be made here in Maryborough Victoria after moving from Melbourne without changing the recipe! Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. Nestlé products are manufactured all over the world and due to the closure of the confectionery section at our New Zealand factory our Allen’s Kool Mints are now being made at another facility that is capable of making such a unique and complex product.

Our original Kool Mints product was extremely unique, being made up of 5 mint flavours! It was very challenging to recreate, and we’ve done our best to match the original product. You will notice the product has a slightly different peppermint flavour than before.

We take feedback from our consumers very seriously and we’re really sorry to hear that you’re no longer loving our product as much as you used to, so we’ll be sure to share your thoughts with our factory and Marketing team. If you'd like to chat to us further please call our Nestle Consumer Services Team on 1800 025 361

The short answer is they are short cutting everything and the product is suffering. Nestle also changed the formula to my favourite candy bar Chokito. I even had them sent to me when I was living overseas. I haven’t had one since they changed the formula - It’s disgusting now too. It was delicious before they destroyed it.

I bought a packet of kool mints recently. I usually love these mints because of the chewy inside. However this batch had a hard almost inedible inside that hurt my teeth. I want to know if this just a bad batch or is this how they will always be now?
