tried novalac constipation but felt this doesn’t fill Bub up as much! Sharing because I feel like Nan comfort is a great formula to start on! Can go from there if it doesn’t work for you.

easily and more often - developed rashes/ red dots on her face, neck and chest , this was not present prior to using this formula - stool was more loose and mucus like .. We noticed that this formula/ water ratio is more watery compared to aptimal gold and a2 platinum.

Umfortunately this formula was not compatible with our baby and we changed formulas after our first tin. This was just our experience.

Happy baby – We tried this formula for mix feeding on recommendation from a hospital lactation consultant. Our baby had terrible gas and discomfort on another formula brand which was immediately resolved with this switch. My Bub loves it!!!!! – I’m an actively breastfeeding mum, started nan comfort 1 old receipe when Bub was 1 month old two times a day for him to get used to when I start my work. He was happy with his bottles. Started new receipe 2 days back, he still seems fine. I’m transitioning him by giving old recipe at night and the new one in the afternoon. Saw various negative feedback , I think transitioning by giving both the recipes will work. Show details

Would recommend – My baby was really bad with reflux/wind/ colic on the the new nan comfort, we were almost going to change, we ended up speaking to the community nurse and we came up with a plan of doing 50% nan comfort and 50% novolac reflux and this has honestly been the most perfect mixture for our bub, nan comfort keeping her bowels regular and novolac adding that bit of thickness to keep her reflux at bay! I’ll definitely be keeping up with this!

This product should be banned. As per what others have said, my newborn also had severe reflux and was screaming in pain non stop for the first 5 weeks of her life. gassy, vomiting and really sick all night and day, I was so exhausted from no sleep and her wanting me to constantly comfort her. The formula is thin as well. She spat up crystallised chunks of it too. My auntie noticed she had a hard tummy, the formula made her so constipated she only pooed once a week. My auntie said change to s26 as she had the same experience with nan with her babies. S26 is now alula. So we changed to alula gold which has omegas in it for brain health and is thicker formula. Immediately my baby stopped crying, pooed daily and sleeps 6-7 hours at night and no more crying. I wish I hadn't made my daughter drink this horrific disgusting stuff for 5 weeks of her life. Should be banned from shelves.

sore tummy where she is beginning to refuse the bottle all together. She has also been spitting up a lot even an hour after feeding. I’m upset as I used this formula 6 yrs ago and had no problems. Hoping a new formula solves our tummy problems

New recipe doesn’t suit us – The new formula (released approx OCT/NOV 2024) does not work for us. Since the change, my baby has been suffering from reflux and having heavy and frequent spit ups. Really disappointing as my two older children both used this formula as infants and we had no issues, and obviously had no issues this time until the recipe change.

Very poor – Caused awful constipation in our newborn. Switched to another brand, no constipation issues

Makes babies sick – A $250 trip to emergency today because our baby stopped drinking. We were worried that she was coming down with an illness. crying in pain. It had occurred to us that it's the formula making our daughter feel unwell. We rushed out and bought apramil sensitive and right away she took a liking to it. And after reading the other reviews on here people seem to be having the same problem. Now we will stop giving it to her twin sister who is also passing a large amount of gas and vomiting up her feed.

Highly disappointing – We used this formula with my first baby 4.5 years ago without issues so we went for the same one for my now 6 month old. He’s had problems with acidic poos, sore tummy, sore face as if his skin was being burnt and we couldn’t work out the issue. We switched to another brand and within a few days his skin was clear, normal bowel movements and is a much happier more content baby with less feeds. It took a good week or so for the awful acidic nappy rash to clear. He also had recurring bronchiolitis, approx 5 times in his 5 months of life with extremely crackly breathing since changing formula this has also cleared and not returned which I don’t feel is a coincidence. I’m so disappointed that so many other parents have said the same about the difference in their first baby being fine with the old recipe and their next baby struggling. When I look back at photos of my poor babies burnt face and bottom this stuff should be taken off the shelves!

have never seen him in so much pain. By day 5 we were so done with nan comfort cos our boy was getting worse and started to refuse the bottle almost knowing it would cause him pain. I jumped online and was surprised to see many stories about their babies having issues on this formula and the recipe being changed. I guess it may work for some but it seemed like a horrible formula for my boy. We switched him to Oli6 which is from Goats milk and he is now eating double of what he was on Nan and is so happy and having 0 effects from the new formula. It took a few days for his tummy to settle from the NAN so it seemed to have a negative effect effect on him even after stopping it. Thankfully a few days later he has recovered. I personally would not recommend this formula

I would never buy again – I've had 2 of my boys on this formula. type patches on my his skin the same rash! I then chose to change to NOVALAC ALLERGY formula after reading reviews from others stating that it helped clear up their babies eczema. 2 weeks on the formula and my sons eczema fully cleared up.

Please do not buy for your newborn – This milk is not good for newborn as my baby cried alot with gas and pain. I tried infacol and gripe water but still my baby was crying after every feed and he was turning red while crying. I switched the formula to s26 gold and now baby is happy and enjoying his milk with no pain. Show details

other people’s recommendations for sensitive tummies. I found that Nan comfort was regularly mentioned and I felt that nan comfort would be helpful as it appeared to work for so many. That is until I realised most articles, reviews and online recommendations were based on the old formula recipe. Since then the company has changed their formula and it has upset a lot of consumers. As I wasn’t aware of the formula change until after I bought a tin I thought I’d still give it a try because it was a “comfort” formula so maybe it would still work? Well it was a waste of a tin as my baby did not like the taste of this formula and after the first 3 bottles, when I gave him the 4th and he realised it was this formula he flat out refused to drink it. He refused every bottle of this formula after that. It also made him very sick and he was spitting up soooo much. He became even more windy then he already was and he was unhappy baby. Unfortunately this product did not work for me.

Its changed for the worse! – My 8yo thrived on nan comfort 8 years ago so we tried with our new baby this time around. He was always spewy, constipated, struggled to pass wind. Thrashed around in discomfort at night. Changed to karicare and he’s not spewing, poops every day and passes wind so easily! Gave my little one terrible pains – Started using this to top up breastfeeds. After using it for a little while, our son started screaming, had constipation- and then explosive poos. We looked at the ingredients- and we were surprised by the amount of sugar and fillers. We changed brands and almost instantly a much happier baby. New ingredient version is poor quality & creates Terrible stomach pains – I switched my son to this after hearing good things about the original ingredient version but after using new ingredients my son is screaming in pain from gas and the formula also doesn’t seem to fill him up. Hated it! – My newborn had very bad poos and always achy and windy and unsettled at all, plus no matter how many he is fed he seems hungry as if it is not satisfying his needs. Not as good as it use to be – I used this formula with my 2 previous kids and had no issues, but since birth,my 3 week old has had terrible diarrea and bad tummy pains. changed her formula and she has been acting much better she has been on Nan since birth and never a problem when you guys changed the formula she began to have all these problems absolutely disgusting

So, so bad!!! – My baby was so unhappy on this. Scrunching up in pain and crying out. Not sleeping, puffy around the eyes. Awful smelling poos. Many complaints in mothers groups on FB about Nan1. I feel guilty that I gave this to my child. Where was the communication to parents on the tin that the recipe had changed???? Not good enough!!!! These are little lives we need to take care of.

Horrible – Baby was on nan comfort since she was born, no issues at all. Since the recipe change she had diarrhoea for couple of weeks then constipated, so much so she would scream in pain. Avoid!! Nan Comfort 1 should be recalled!! – Please do not give your baby this horrible and harmful new Nan Comfort formula! It has caused our 4 month old a face rash, rash over the body and runny poos. He was perfectly fine on the old recipe. We perservered thinking it was just eczema but it was 100% the formula.
