Great! Welcome Change! – I had my 8 month on Bellamy's. I exclusively breastfed for 4 months then mixed fed for two and now she is on forumla full-time. Since birth she has always had a problem with passing wind and has just generally seemed out of sorts, poor sleeps and stools have varied. After a treatment of anitbiotics, and on impulse in the supermarket, I bought… Read more

this product due to the pro-biotic content. I noticed changes over the period of a week. Her stool is now what I consider a normal dark green forumla colour, consistently. She drinks nearly all of the bottle whereas before she would often leave anywhere from 50-100mls. She is the happiest I've seen her and she is sleeping the best she ever has. We even got a full-night! All this in just a week. This is my second child. The first was a dream and never had any digestive issues, ate and drank everything, but it's been different with the number 2. I never would have bought this formula had I seen these reviews first so I'm very glad I didn't. It's worth giving it a go. I'm convinced this is the right formula for our baby. Mixes easily. baby likes it. 30ml scoop leads to less guess work! Only con really is that the scoop is small so have to make sure you keep count.

My son loves it very Happy – After reading reviews I was skeptical about trying it, but after trying so many formulas and giving up on trying to mix feed him for a while because of him absolutely refusing to drink them we started to try introduce formula again at 8 months. lucky ebough to be ok with milk protiens in baked products because the proteins get broken down more due to the heat. For this reason it convinced us to try h.a formula because h.a formulas protiens are partially hydrolised making them easier to digest. Anyway we tried nan h.a. 2 and he didnt flat out refuse and gradually worked his way up to 210ml per night. He has just turned 1 & have changed to the nan h.a 3 tonight and he loves that even more. He drank it so fast with no fussing whatsoever. So thrilled. If you read the tins it does say they can change their poos I only found them to be slightly softer. All in all a happy baby and happy parents. Note not all people suffering from dairy allergies can tolerate ha formula check with your ownhhealth professional first. easily digested, bub like taste, 30ml per scoop =less wastage could dissolve better in cold water need to shake lots

Shocking impact of terrible formula change – Father of 3 children all raised on formula through necessity - consistent user of Nan HA Gold 1 & 2. 3rd child now 10 1/2 months. Made the switch from the old Nan HA 2 Gold to the new Nan HA 2 Gold 800Mg a few weeks ago (as all outlets ran out of old formula and restocked their shelves - we held out as long as possible) and have had problematic… Read more

issues ever since. Caused bad diarrhoea daily, major nappy rash as a result, general unhappiness, & consitent vomiting. Little guy not happy.

Stopped all solids to test whether it was purely the formula and all symptoms have continued for 2 weeks!

We will be switching brands and formulas away from Nestle and will actively advocate to my community to avoid this product as there is clearly an issue based on our experience and the weight of parental feedback on forums such as this.

They have ruined our trust in the brand and put the health of our son at risk.

Caused vomiting, Caused bad diarrhoea

Best for my baby – The formula is super easy to prepare and comes with a scoop that can levelled off on a ridge inside the tin. We tried different formulas but this was the one I found met her needs and agreed with her. No side effects other than she loves her bottles! Maybe too mcuh!

It is very good for my baby – We used Nan HA Gold 1 since my baby born, when my baby turned to 6 months old, we went to Nan HA Gold 2. There is no any issues to feed my baby with this formal. My baby loves her bottle. And we going to use Nan HA Gold 3 in the future.

Different formula suits different babies, have to try to find the right one – I write this review, hope it will help other parents find the right formula for their babies. I have read a lot reviews about formula products, all help me choose the right one for our baby. Our baby had Nan HA Gold stage 1, it was perfect. Although the poo was stinky and dark green, but it was regular, once a day, without difficulty. He… Read more

slept well too. No problem at all.

However, since the Stage 2 started, he had a lot of farts at night. I thought it was wind from the bottle, so purped him more, bought three sets of new teats. However it did not change.

There were some nights he just woke up, got up and cried. Even when I was holding him, he was in sound sleep, still suddenly woke up, cried or kicked his legs. (seem to have pain in his tummy or lower tummy). Huge amount of farts during night. So woke up so many times. bad nights, once every two hours. I thought it was the solid, so stopped solid for some weeks, it did not change. It went on for over 6 or 7 weeks. Doctor suggested to change the formula. On Karicare soy formula now. The doctor thinks it might be lactose intolerance. I have sent the poo sample for check.

I had 240 ml Nan HA gold stage two, at night my tummy rummbled a lot too, farts, and feeling like to go to the loo before morning.

After just two days on Karicare soy formula, he is much better now. His tummy was quiet, did not have so many farts, did not woke up because of tummy pain.

I would not say which formula is good or bad, however different formula suits different babies. So parents need to find the right one that is good for their baby. I never thought it could be the formula since he was so good with stage 1. However I did hear a lot of people saying the stage 2 is just terrible. I think it has been proved that stage 2 does not suit our baby. Happy that we have changed. Wish we had done this earlier, our baby would not suffer so much and would have had good sleeps.

Very impressed with Karicare staff writing feedback on the website, good reflection on their company's attitude.

One brand suits a baby, it does not mean all the formula of that brand suits the baby.

Inconvenient preparation – After using Nan HA Gold 1, we went to Nan HA Gold 2 when our son was 6 months old. Only to find every time we made a bottle it would never dissolve properly and would have glue like lumps in it. I called Nestle and asked why and was told all their formula needs to be dissolved in water 37-40degrees. When I asked why we never had this issue with 1… Read more

The best choice for our son – Hi, Every baby is different but our son loves nan ha. We tried s26 when weening him off breastmilk and he vomited all of it from his mouth and nose. Nan ha is gentle on his stomach and I like the fact that they actually know that premixing formula is a bad thing like s26 lets you do that. This will just get bacteria growing in it as you heat or… Read more

Terrible - wish I looked up the reviews before switching – Bub was on Nan Pro 1 and we went up to HA 2 Gold after six months and I thought it would be fine (being the same company). However, the formula was harder to dissolve and we had the horrible sticky green poo, constipation, unsettledness, waking through the night, rashes, reflux. had similar and worse reactions was definitely informative. Thankfully Coles agreed to refund the extra tins that I had bought.

Update: Rang Nestle to complain and they said different babies react differently and didn't seem that concerned about it. A friend's newborn baby was on this formula for 7 weeks, before they saw all the same signs and they quickly switched, even though I told them about the issue at 4 weeks.

Similar horrible reactions like other parents - constipation, green sticky poo, unsettledness, reflux, rashes

Good formula – I used Nan HA Gold 1 & 2 for my first baby. She liked it and had no digestion issues with it. It's reasonably priced and I like the tin and hygienic spoon rest. It mixes well with hot water, but often became lumpy when mixed with cold water. This was quite annoying as I liked to use cold boiled water then heat it in the bottle warmer. No digestion issues Lumpy when mixed with cold water

No issues – We have been using this for about 1 month now after I stopped breastfeeding. It mixes really well and we are quite happy with it. Nestle products generally are good so I was surprised by some of the reviews but again I have had no issues with this. I actually reallt like the separate scoop. scoop, good mixing

New formula rip off – The formula itself is pretty good, I didn't find any problems with the change of formulation but the 'new scoop' takes away 100g and they got rid of the flat side of the tin so you can't get a good scoop. Don't know why they messed with a perfectly good product, but it's still usable. My baby drinks it cutting out 100g, getting rid of flat side of tin

Not impressed really – Changed to this formula at 6 months from s-26, which made my son constantly constipated. My son had the worst smelly green, slimy poo ever, I was embarresed to change him in public parents' rooms. Changed to Karicare Gold 2, after reading all the negative reviews and visiting the facebook website. I do remember something about this formula in the media last year. Glad I changed, my son is so so so happy on Karicare. Bad poo, bad scoop

Atrocious swap from NAN HA 1 Gold to 2 – Within half a day of changing my 6 month old's formula from 1 (original formulation) to 2 (new, "improved" formulation) I was dealing with a completely different child - putrid green runny diahorrea, a constantly waking as opposed to typically happily dozing baby, and screaming in pain from wind. Nan ha 2 gold – I can't believe what I am reading. my son has been on nan ha from 6 weeks old and was extremely satisfied sleeping through the night once he got a little older. However, as soon as he started nan ha 2 800g he no longer slept through the night, although he hasn't got a rash from this formula but did go off his food and still sometimes doesnt eat alot. Just thought he was teething. Will definitely change formula!! Not satisfying my baby

NAN HA Gold Formula, not happy – I started my baby on the old recipe when she was a week old. skin about a week after I started feeding her this formula. When I saw what was going on I immediately stopped using the formula. The rash cooled down a week or so later but she still has some of the rash on her neck and she is now 3 months old. Does anyone have any experiences with this face rash, and if so, what did you use for your baby's face?

I have tried some creams but they seem to just cool it down for the time being and the rash starts up again the next morning.

I will not using this formula again.

It made my baby sick and gave her a bad rash.

Not happy Nestle! – My son (8months) has been on this formula since birth, we chose Nan Gold as i used it for my oldest son (now 4).My youngest son was going great with no problems feeding (loves his bottle and food) was a extremely happy baby and had no health issues. smaller but they are still retailing for the same price...

After the first bottle i noticed my son's health started to deteriorate, he would fuss at the bottle, was very windy, unsettled and even had burns on his bottom. His poo had changed from being thick solid poo to runny, dark green, smelling to high heaven and i was constantly changing him, 6+ poos a day... I then noticed his face having a rash. He was very clingly, wouldnt sleep more than 2hours (and he was sleeping through the night). I didnt become aware that hundreds of other parents had complained until my nana rang me (i dont have "normal" tv and didnt see the news report).

I reseached a bit more and found every baby and toddler on this "new and improved" formula had the exact same problems. When many have complained to a Nestle rep they have been told it's nothing to do with the formula and it has been deemed "safe". Now what you have to ask is well if that is the case why are so many of our babies sick?

I changed my formula to Karicare Aptimal gold and since then my son's health has improved. I have left my details with Nestle to speak to a rep but i havent had a call back (5days) ive been told by other parents they left messages a month ago and only have recently been contacted. Shame on you Nestle, where is your customer care/service?

I feel this should be recalled, t is currently under investigation and im worried about the long term effects it has done to my son, A refund is just not good enough, not only have our children suffered we have also had to endure a horrible time. Do not buy this formula!

Bad customer service, my son was very sick.

6 weeks wild screams of pain in the middle of the night. Our 8 mth old developed really mad wind and stomach aches, when we picked him up from his cot he would find some relief but would take ages, hrs to get him back down... Changed stool, bottle refusals, reflux.... Arrrggghhh we thought it was teeth and increasing the amount of solids that his little belly was still getting used to.... Never did we question the formula. I feel enough guilt from not being able to breast feed successfully and now I find the formula I trusted to feed my son was actually making him sick! When I realized after reading the news artile last week, we switched formula and he's been thankfully much better and sleeping through again too. I called Nestlé and gave them a piece of my mind, they tried to sell me on the bloody convenient spoon, can you believe that??! They will loose millions of dollars over this and they deserve to, how dare they make a formula change that make our precious sick!
