assured that the final work - installation of bench top - would not be affected by the late cabinet installation but that wasn't the case. I was advised it would be another 3 weeks and when I spoke to a young person at the office she told me it was out of their control as it was to be completed by a third party. This is despite me signing the contract with NIK and paying them. I insisted on speaking to a manager and this time I got a decent response and felt this person actually cared. I was able to contact the bench top installers themselves who were very very good. They gave me a valid reason for the late installation - which had also been relayed to NIK - but unfortunately that was not communicated to me. I was lucky in that it was brought forward 1 week - so all in all I waited 2 weeks (was originally informed 7 to 10 days). Overall I am giving this experience a generous 4 stars which is only because I love the cabinet, the quality and the installers. Customer service not so good.

Replacing cupboards with drawer units – We had a Reno to our kitchen by replacing existing cupboards with drawer units. The drawers fitted perfectly due to the care taken by both the designer and the installer. Very friendly and professional. Our kitchen now works better with lots more usable storage. Would recommend New Image kitchens for price and quality.

measurer (James) the resulting new kitchen didn’t cover the old kitchen footprint. So New Image had to remedy the counter location and remanufacture drawers and cupboards. Cupboard material for high cupboards wasn’t ready at commencement despite me locking in a commencement date and paying all required monies 10 weeks before project start. Mismeasure on high cupboards meant that when the material did arrive the cupboards had to be made again. Unsightly finish under high cupboards was covered only on request. Apparently it’s not part of the New Image business as usual to cover unsightly joins. Granted we weren’t charged extra, but for mine this talks to a professional finish. Mismeasure on range hood cavity. The plumber emptied our solar hot water for no apparent reason during range hood motor installation on the roof. Location of the range hood motor didn’t reach the power for the actual range hood unit in the kitchen. Broke a roof tile whilst walking on the roof. Plumber didn’t tighten a connection under the sink which resulted in water leaking in to the cupboard for a week after installation. We had to request a compliance certificate for gas disconnect / move of connection / reconnect. This should form part of the clients document suite as a standard. Check the plumbing team are appropriately qualified. Electrician and tiler were excellent, both were professional and had fabulous communication skills. However, overall communication throughout between New Image and other stakeholders was very poor. New Image had to constantly be prompted on project progress, updates and outstanding actions. Fluidity of communication between stakeholders and action timelines during a new build might be okay but that communication during a kitchen renovation where the client has no functional kitchen does not translate well at all. Communication from management despite being copied on early correspondence re the numerous issues, was very late in the piece and only when prompted. When I raised issues I was told ‘we’re only human mistakes can happen’ and ‘It's not uncommon for minor hiccups to arise during significant renovations, and unfortunately, you've encountered a few such instances.’ I’d warrant the list of hiccups I experienced was way more than the average. I’d also claim that a kitchen renovation where the same footprint was being used isn’t a significant renovation but a straightforward project.

I note on Product Review, that New Image Nowra react strongly to negative reviews with no semblance of responsibility on their part. However, no comments are forthcoming on the positive reviews. I’ll warrant the same will occur on publication of this review. Speaks volumes.

Customer service from management rude, abusive and threatening – This company designed and installed my kitchen. When I discovered that the fridge door wouldnt open fully because the island bench was too big, I contacted them with the issue. I was told I had designed the kitchen, and it wasn't their problem. island bench was reduced by a third. There was no reduction in price!! Overall I'm disillusioned with the whole process. My recommendation is give this company a very wide berth!!

Shoddy poor workmansip – Unfortunately things went wrong right from the beginning. When cupboards arrived for installation were too big for space and had to be cut down. Then tops didn’t fit and also had to be recut but joins didn’t meet properly. Also cupboard above fridge had to be redone - wrong size. That was in May 21. - it is now nearly December 21 and joins in tops still not fixed nor suitable catches supplied for high cupboard Production manager bulling with absolutely no customer service. Not recommended. A big waste of money.

Kitchen and wardrobes – Eric from new image was fantastic As we were Building a new home we had little ideas of what we wanted or needed with out kitchen and wardrobes Eric put us in the right direction with everything from colours to design and what stone would be best. Everything turned out more than we could have hoped for. The whole process with the new image team was great, will definitely recommend.

Very good company – Fair price for cupboards, bench tops and installation of same.Very helpful advice on design layout. Tradespeople completed work in a timely manner; good quality workmanship. Regular updates from Admin staff re work schedule and expected time of project completion.

Exceptional teamwork and awesome kitchen – From day one, right until the end, the entire team were extremely professional and the overall kitchen is absolutely beautiful. So glad I chose New Image Kitckens would not go anywhere else. Thanks, Team.

Excellent Professional Work – We had eight kitchens installed in our cabins, all were installed within 3 days and all were built to speck. Not a single issue with any of them which is great to say it's guests using them not a home use so they do take more use. We have no reservations in recommending New Image Kitchen's to both home and commercial projects and with Andrew as our project co ordinator everything progressed smoothly.

Customer Support – We had our Kitchen installed about Seven years ago at the time we where impressed with the service and the Quality I have just had a minor issue with a couple of hinges Andrew came out and replaced them it was doubtful if it was a Warranty issue but they replaced them anyhow rare to see this type of support these days glad to see it is still out there with New Image Kitchens
