ALWAYS HAPPY AND THEY FIXED THEIR WARRANTY ISSUES STRAIGHT AWAY – I bought an RBWA Display Homes in 2020 at MoJo in Cockburn Central its a Dual Occupancy Home with each level have one bed one living and a kitchen, same as below. Most people wrote bad reviews but those that are happy mostly would not bother writing one. I had some major issues but as soon I emailed them they sent their supervisor Paul Giordini… Read more
and within days they sent their people and fixed the issues (Thanks to Helene Potaka, Tina Roberts, Paul and his tradies). 3 years passed I found a small water moisture on the bottom of the staircase, I emailed Lauren and everyone above again and within days Paul also turned up with Gerry and I am confident Paul and Gerry will also handle this (adding colorbond sheeting, etc etc. Will follow up when it's all done. I LIKE THE WAY RBWA HANDLING THE ISSUES BIG AND SMALL.
Nightmare Continues – Nightmare continues with New Level Homes as now I have been notified by email further 8-10 weeks delay due to shortage of labour for timber framing. What a joke I was informed by the client service manager that there is only a handful of tradies that are skilled in timber framing, now knowing that why build timber framing. It’s been over a year… Read more
and paying interest on mortgage and rent increase has made it financially hard. Builder does not care but still want there variations cost to be paid. The way it’s going I think home will be completed in 2024 and I’ll be bankrupted. Worst company, stay away go with different builder.
Additional fees for company mistake – Myself and my girlfriend are currently in the process of building our first home with new level homes. We are now being told that we need to pay an additional fee for the type of hot water system REQUIRED in our area (6 star green community) Our so called building experts, have overlooked the type of system required on our development according to… Read more
land sales. So they’re now trying to sting us thousands extra. At no stage of costings and pre start were we even given the option of the correct system until we brought it up with them! Managed to read the fine print to get us to upgrade tapware etc though! Disgusting! We expected professional building companies to build homes & provide build contracts compliant with the land they build on. Instead we’ve had to do the hard work months later and still end up getting stung as the staff seem to be more bothered about getting money than rectifying their customers issues. They just threaten court and threaten to stop works! Pretty laughable, we thought they already had stopped work!
This is not even the first time, in the beginning they also tried to sting us an additional to upgrade 3 toilets, these toilets differ by less than $50 each on Reece plumbing website (retail price) The reason they wanted us to pay this ridiculous amount was that the standard toilets apparently didn’t comply with our 6 star energy rating. However after we did our own research on the builders website, we found that they already complied. When we brought that up, received no apologies, just moved on to the next process!
Just a warning, please ensure to do your own research. My advice is to hire an independent construction inspector, if we weren’t already so deep in we would do for sure! The thousands it may cost you, it will very likely save you throughout the process We absolutely love the look of our home, and so far the build quality appears good. It’s just a shame the company building it are so terrible at communication, correctly costing, and making an effort with the people spending hundreds of thousands already without their extras (outside of contract) I would be bending over backwards to meet my customers expectations! As somebody who usually doesn’t complain, I’m sick & tired of complaining with this build now. I just want the job done right for the agreed cost!
If I could give less than one star, I would! – Terrible experience from day one! I am a first home buyer - first time building! NEVER AGAIN! I finally have got out of my contract! The company is an absolute joke! The stress I have been put under for the last 10 months has been unbearable! I had several pre-start meetings as no one could get anything right. When my pre-start costings… Read more
came in at $26,000 I was shocked!
As I looked closer into my costings, I noticed that I was being charged for 6 toilets, 2 hot water systems, 7 basins - the list goes on! $10,000 worth of items that I didn't even choose.
It doesn't stop there...
New Level purposely delayed my project on multiple occasions - which were identified by my lawyer!
I was called on a Monday (late October) saying that earthworks were starting on Friday, BUT I needed to pay a contract price increase of $17,000 otherwise they will not start.
I was also told, "if I did not pay by Friday, another $5,000 would be billed to me".
The increase took me over the threshold to receive the govt grant. New Level could not care less! I simply could not afford to continue. So, I asked to leave the contract because the increase was 5.8% - legally, I can walk away - as it states on the Building Commission website.
[Name Removed] - the contract manager rang me and said "Hayley, can your parents not pay the increase, surely they can pay this for you!
[Name Removed] also said to me, because at this point I had a lawyer involved "what are you going to do? go to the HIA, you'll lose!"
ARE YOU SERIOUS!
1. how dare this company ask this when they have no idea what our family situation is! 2. What kind of company says that to a CLIENT!
After months of trying to get out of the contract - they issued me with another bill for $5,800.00. I refused to pay it!!! I was not legally obligated as my loss far outweighs New Level's.
I went to the media with my story, and because of this, New Level finally let me go!
As a final stab in the gut, [Name Removed] had the cheek to ask me "when you sell your land, how about we sell it with your house design with your building approvals and permit with it"
WHAT? the approvals and permit I PAID FOR! - Disgusting!
Terrible – Terrible experience. Prestart a nightmare took 2 months to get it right and kept asking me to just sign when prestart items were incorrect and want further costs total $10500. I wish I went with another builder. It’s been a headache and I’ve never had problems like this with other builders I’ve dealt with. Show details
A Good Experience! – We recently moved into our new house and are happy with our experience with New Level Homes. We found the sales process to be a little stressful, but once our slab was down it ran really smoothly. Our supervisors (Mario and then Matt) always kept us informed and answered our many questions. Chariya in the office was also lovely to deal with and… Read more
very efficient. After feeling very scared and reluctant to build in the first place, I can honestly say our experience was a lot better than we ever imagined it to be. We love our home! Thank you New Level!
Horrible experience, do not build with them – A week before the slab goes down they tell us we have to pay $11,000 more because of cost increases in the last 12 months. This has just put us way over budget and it is extremely unfair. Not what we signed up for! I do not recommend working with these people. Show details
Wouldn’t build again – House is fine, nothing overly spectacular and probably could of got a lot more had we of shopped around. Had really great first few meetings with their sales person and then it was all downhill from there. When there is things wrong and not up to scratch post construction (believe me there will be lots of things)...GOOD LUCK to you trying to get… Read more
it done. They’re more than happy to fix up the cheaper stuff but the big ticket things that need redoing down the track they slither out of it and literally ignore you fingers crossed you’ll just go away. So if you’re after a builder that will give you rough finishes, take too long and treat you like dirt, you’ll be really happy.
I would really of loved to of had a good experience building with them, having such a hard time with something that is intended to be so exhilarating is really disheartening. Writing a bad review of the people that built my first home really brings me zero joy and I’m sure some clients rave about their time with them but the list of defects and instances of poor service with our build would make your head spin.
We’re still waiting on maintenance to be carried out 2+ years later and I do hope they pull through. Most of which is done now, some things I will have to learn to live with and fix at a later date myself. The standout was the ensuite tiling which is absolutely dreadful, they have retiled some areas and done various repairs and even after repairs still looks rough and uneven. The grout is falling away and the silicone has bubbled so their is mould everywhere that can’t be cleaned. We got the air conditioning via the builder and during construction the tubing in the roof was damaged and an engineer advised us privately that the outdoor unit is in the wrong place so it won’t work well and costs a bomb to run because it’s constantly in the sun and too close to the fence. They of course are doing the blame game and we’re still amidst conversations about the repair. Our alfresco roofing was really bad, the plasterboard is so wonky and poorly applied. After months of arguing over it they offered a monetary reimbursement of $1800. I foolishly accepted it and upon getting quotes to replaster the ceiling I quickly discovered that was a shifty move by them because the actual cost to repair is many, many thousands. Not $1800.
Do what you will with this review, keep your eyes wide open and your wits about you is my advise.
Happy build with RBWA – We finished building with RBWA in July 2018 and were very happy with the finished result. The total build from slab down to handover took just over 5 months. We had a few issues throughout the build which is expected with any builder. We were exceptionally happy with the initial consultations and planning stage to ensure our floorplan and desired… Read more
features worked with our block.
We only went over budget slightly due to unforeseen circumstances and additional site works but otherwise our estimated costs were fairy accurate. We wanted a complete package that meant we could move in and have nothing left to worry about other than landscaping which i'm happy to say was the case.
Would build with RBWA again – Our decision to go with RBWA was result of an exceptionally good salesman (thanks Michael) who helped us translate our vision of the layout into a real thing. His contribution and advices to help us make our house energy efficient as much as possible was great bonus (dbl glazed windows/doors, wall/roof/ceiling insulation, etc). He was willing to… Read more
help and assure our/customer 100% satisfaction all the way through pre and construction phase as well as during the maintenance period. The construction process was a great experience too, thanks to Garry who was our site supervisor. I may the best describe the bloke if I say the one who builds each house like it's for himself...you can get an idea. This was our the second house we built and quality of workmanship was way above and beyond the previous builder (Ventura Homes). Administrative/office work is place where there might be room for improvement to make building a house really easy and stress-less for customer. If I would build again wouldn't bother researching, would go straight to these guys.
Great experience and completed ahead of schedule – Updated 25 July 2018 The New Level Homes team were there for us every step of the way with our build. From the beginning, Jeremy Eagleton was very helpful guiding us through the planning / drafting stage and keeping us informed throughout the build. Joanne Harris was across all the administration and helped answer our questions. Joanne had… Read more
some great advice on tweaking the kitchen design to suit our needs during our pre-start session last year. Unfortunately, not all our discussions were captured - the pull-out bin cupboard wasn't added to our plans and therefore wasn't built. The kitchen drawers have tabs at the bottom of the drawers, not the top. Very awkward to open them, especially the ones down low. Disappointed we didn't get any advice/guidance from someone who's been doing this for a long time.
Really disappointed to have just found out that the builder forgot to lodge our NBN application even though all the infrastructure was built into the house. Now we have to wait 4-6 months to get NBN connected! Not happy.
Suggest you ask questions and don't assume that things will just get done (even though they should).
Our Project Supervisor, Mick Skeggs, was brilliant and kept us across everything throughout the whole build and answered my questions quickly and honestly whenever I called him - no nonsense - exactly what you want when you’re building a new home. More importantly, he, along with Jeremy and the team, delivered the goods and got us into our new 2-storey 4x2 home ahead of schedule.
The house is great and the tradies they use have delivered a high quality finish to our new home. We’re especially happy with the tilers they used - really professional and experienced, they did an excellent job.
We've been in the house for 2-months now and loving it. I have 3 suggestions for those looking to go with New Level Homes - things that aren't great and I'd look at doing differently 1) The internal timber framed walls upstairs are hollow cavities. You should install insulation in these cavities to help with noise attenuation (especially if you have kids like us) and insulation. 2) The wooden floor used for the second story is a lot noisier than the display home we visited. I'm not sure what they used, or how they constructed it in the display home to make this quieter, but in our house the noise carries through downstairs a lot. 3) Get the carpenter to install extra chocs underneath each stair (wooden) to help firm up and again, reduce the noise going up and down.
Over all, a very good experience and I'd happily recommend people build with New Level Homes...just do the things I've suggested above.
Weeeeha! – I am so excited to be building with New Level Homes - although I know them as Jeremy and Izabela. My plans have just gone to construction and my pad will be laid in 7 days! Jeremy has been fantastic right from the initial discussion about how I would never build again! He has made the whole process seem very easy and knowing how important the… Read more
time factor is for me, is always following me up when I am lagging behind with my decisions! I feel like he has looked after me all the way so far. Having built many times before I was not exactly looking forward to the pre-start process and meetings but I was so impressed with Izabela - she really knows her stuff and has put up with my attention to detail and changes! Nothing has been too much of a bother to her and it has truly been a pleasure to deal with both Izabela and Jeremy. I am looking forward to the rest of my journey with New Level Homes. Weeeeha!
Glad to say we chose RBWA – Having built twice before and being aware of the pitfalls of the process we have to say that we didn't come across any pits to fall in with RBWA as everything went like clockwork, even though we were overseas during the first three months of the build. Thanks must go to Murray, Sue and Mike who oversaw the project from start to finish and all the… Read more
high quality tradesman RBWA employ. The level of workmanship and finish couldn't be faulted and little issues which needed to be addressed after hand over have been dealt with immediately.
Keep up the good work RBWA, we'd recommend you anytime.

Great service, guidance and very happy with the end result – With building our family home we were incredibly excited to move into a well executed home. The prestart was well guided with extremely helpful and experienced staff. The construction progressed well from week to week and the supervisor addressed any issues promptly. We have now been living in our home for a month and are loving it! A very successful building experience.
