taken directly from from Nissan's Z sportscar. Its 16-valve 1.8-litre four cylinder engine keeps running costs low combining reliability and low fuel costs. E10 compatible. The styling was focused to achieve best-in-class aerodynamics with a 0.29 drag coefficient and zero body lift at the front for the Tiida. No issues yet apart from usual wear like tyres after 14 years and over 190,000kms.
Great Mini People Mover – 2006 ST Manual model purchased car at 62000 now on 125000 after 4 years, from the outside the engine is still pretty quiet on idle. Only required tyres, brakes, spark plugs and regular oil changes . The other fix was electric window controller on drivers door that needed contacts cleaned. Easily seats 4 people including very tall children in back… Read more
and very good on fuel average 7.6L 100km. The colour is white and you can see between the roof and hatch where less paint was applied and looks like an undercoat appearance. Interior is all black plastic, plenty of storage bins. Double rubber sealing on the doors keeps out a lot of the road and wind noise so you dont need to crank the radio up too high. This is good especially at highway speeds the engine is doing 3000 rpm at the speed limit so the engine is pretty busy. I reckon this was a lost opportunity where the designers could have dropped the rpm at cruising speed because the manual is a six speed box. The engine does need to be stirred and comes to life above 2900rpm but can dawdle along at 2500 rpm. Driving the car is a bit wooden the steering is electric assist so no real feel, understeers, the accelerator is electric so there is a delay in waking up, the clutch action squeaks because the pedal box moves as the metal is too thin. One day the pedal box may break, so putting grease on the clutch mechanism to try and make it smoother. The gear shift is a plastic gate ball bearing mechanism, works fine, accurate but not much feel, this was greased to improve shift quality and prevent plastic breaking. Overall a very basic car not full of electronics, 2 airbags no ABS , good people mover , handy boot.
Practical – Smell petrol when fill up driving is comfy bought it 2 months ago and trouble with the petrol indicator dealer fix it but still petrol smell when parking interior is very nice and a lot of space at the rear seats Running cost is fair good model and easy to park Show details
5 Stars dosnt do it justice!! – My Mother purchased a refreshed Tiida ST sedan mid 2010, she is very rough with her cars and as she travels a lot for work I wanted her in a solid safe car, 150,000 km later the Tiida is going strong, there are no rattles from the interior and the engine still has plenty for power. I cannot remember a time when it has been serviced as recommend… Read more
she always leaves it somtimes 10,000 after the sticker, but still it has NEVER broken down, and it gets better fuel Economy then my 1.4 Hyundai i20. I swear by these car, they are bullet-proof.
Great all rounder – I have had a Tiida 1.8 2012 sedan for around 6 months. I think it is a great car. Perhaps not as responsive as some and could be a little tighter around corners but every car has areas that can be improved. Still, I have plenty of power for overtaking the slow pokes and can comfortably sit on 110ks on motorways with no problems climbing steep… Read more · 1
hills. I love the huge boot, plenty of room for my tall husband, economical, servicing at Nisan is at a resonable cost. I run the car on 95. I have had no problems except the pollen filter needed to be replaced at 50k, rather than 60k. Don't put too much faith in the negative reviews. However these do keep the prices down on a great car.
Very reliable small car, now replaced again by the Pulsar – We have run two Nissan Tiida sedans for our daughter who lives in the A.C.T and regularly travels to and from Sydney, we have never had a reliability problem with either car. Show details
