Perfect family car – The driving experience for the Nissan Tiida is very smooth and great family car. The seats are very spacious and comfortably fits 3 car seats in the back seat. The boot is very big way more spacious than it looks. Very good on petrol Bout 750km to a full tank depending on your driving style.  Show details

Does a few things well, the rest, not so much – We have a 2006 Tiida ST-L sedan. First the good, the interior space is amazing. Seriously it feels like a large car, especially in the rear seats. It's easily larger on the inside then my old 2G Liberty! The boot in the sedan is also very large. The auto transmission is quite smooth compared to all the other autos I've ever tried. It comes with… Read more

cruise control, which is very useful.

Thats where the good news ends I'm afraid. The fuel economy is quoted as 7.8 combined, but in reality the city cycle is 11lts/100km (highway is 6.5lt/100km). For such a modestly powered / light weight car, it's unacceptable. (I know how to drive economically). The exterior paint is very fragile, the tiniest bumps and scrapes leave ugly marks. There are no map lights on the ST-L. The stereo has no USB, bluetooth or aux in. The steering has become heavier than I'd like over the years. The rear seats don't fold down, which really limits the dimensions of things you can put in the car. The seat fabric on the ST-L is not very resistant to stains. Ahem. Also the seats for long trips are quite uncomfortable (Nissan CAN make good seats, but choose not to put them in the Tiida). The head rest doesn't adjust to a point where I can actually use it. Interior space, smooth auto transmission, cruise control. Poor economy, poor quality paint, no aux input, uncomfortable seats.

Excellent – Bought a 2007 model Tiida March this year. Really happy. I get about 550kms out of my tank of fuel. It's easy to park. I bought the ST-L which has all the extras like power windows etc. I have also towed a small trailer with this car no problems. I really love how roomy the back seats are. Boot is also large. Overall very happy with my car and… Read more

would consider buying another Tiida when this one gets a little older! Cheap of fuel, zippy and plent of room. I am very happy with my car!

Good – Maybe not the best handling (but not bad handling) or most sporty of its competitors but fine to drive and doesn't feel left behind at lights etc. However probably not the one for those wanting to be boy racers. We often have elderly people in the back seat who appreciate the room and the ease on getting in and out. Lots of space, easy to get… Read more

in/out of, comfortable, quiet Daggy name, no centre arm rest on ST-L, no MP3 compatibility, no temperature gauge.

Excellent – We had a new(ish) Mitsubishi Lancer which was stolen and we chose a 2007 Tiida to replace it to save some $$. I'm really happy with it. It drives really well, is easy to park, fits passengers and luggage easily, it's good on petrol and fits child seats really easily. I'm really happy with it! Quality interior, no engine problems so far, 6 speed… Read more

manual, comfy seats with easy clean fabric, huge boot, high back seats, huge glove box. Easy to drive, Driver's seat sits a little high, seats don't fold down in ST-L sedan.

Excellent – Maintain the price tag for the ST-L and they will give the rivals a run for their money and become the number 1 selling car in its class. The interior is bigger than the Corolla, Civic, or Mazda 3. I like the colour of the dash board and seats and side interior (beige). The 6 speed manual gear box is impressive. It is taller than the normal… Read more

japanese sedan. More features than its rivals. Fuel efficiency and power from its engine and visibility while driving. I had it now for 3 weeks now... I'm having problems with the name re-call... I'm used to calling Nissan's small car... Pulsar!

Good – Very easy to drive. Interior design is great with lots of room for a small car. We are very happy with our Tiida. Very quiet to ride in (low level of road noise). Quietest of all cars we test drove in the same size. Very economical and easy to park. Air con works great. No centre arm rest in ST-L and having to pay extra for the mud flaps. Show details

Good – It's a great car. Very reliable and easy to drive. When bought new, Nissan offers great post purchase service. It is a small car, yet it is spacey on the inside. It drives well on the road and the brake is extremely responsive. I have the ST-L so I have the some extra features. I also managed to buy at the time when Nissan offered the protector… Read more

pack. So I managed to get custom kick plates, floor and dash mats, reverse sensor, boot lip and boot mat and light protectors. Bargain! The gears are sometimes hard to shift from first to second. No MP3 playback or external auxiliary connection to sound system. My hands free power window failed twice and twice, it was fixed - no proper explanation was given to me except to say it was a "programming" problem. Doesn't make sense to me since the programming cannot easily be 'unprogrammed'!
