My first Nutri Ninja broke within a year and I received a full replacement since warranty is 2 years. The replacement just started putting out a burning smell like the motor is burning. I reported it to Ninja head office but I was told that original purchase is out of warranty, they can't do anything about it. Show details

Insanely Powerful! – This is one insanely powerful blender! Packed with 1500w power, would crushed anything even chunky ice. Couldn’t be more happy with this lil machine - it’s worth paying $200+! Not to mention it’s incredibly versatile having a standard size blender with multiple sharp blades and also the 3 different sizes of Nutri Bullet for 1-2 serves of… Read more

smoothies! Easy to clean and has 4 suction in the bottom of the unit for super sturdy operation - it has a couple of clutch in the side of the unit for easy un-suctioning the unit. VERY HAPPY with this purchase.

Exactly what we needed, with a good price! – We looked at purchasing a food processor, a Nutri bullet and a kenwood- ultimately decided to go with the ninja because of its price point and comparable features. We were looking purely for making smoothies and baby purées, some marinades and sauces. This blender does all of those things really well! It is on the noisier side, but manageable.… Read more

That stability suction grips on the bottom are great as our previous blender didn’t have these and that was difficult as you couldn’t leave it. The IQ blend is great, one press and our smoothies are blended to perfection. Very important to stack ingredients in order (I.e fresh, leafy, liquid, dry, ice) and not go over the max line as it makes blending difficult - which is why they give you an easy visual guide in their instruction booklet. It’s definitely user friendly and my “technologically challenged” husband finds it easy to use also. The travel cups are conveniently sized and make it easy for a small, moderate and large snack / meal prep. Highly recommend if you have any doubts!

Perfect blend everytime – I bought the Duo this to replace my previous Ninja IQ. I use it in my food truck and it flawlessly blends frozen fruit and ice within 20 seconds. The first blender lasted for 1000's of shakes. Highly recommend. Show details

Good for a while, but not long enough – We've had a couple of different ninja models now. They're great at first and really crush the ice pretty well, although I find the other model that only takes a cup to be a lot better. I made quite a few things with this particular model. Unfortunately, the longevity of all my ninjas (we had a two for one deal both times so 4 all up), is subpar.… Read more

The different containers were useful, but this one just stops working. And then we might try it after a while and it works again out of the blue! The engine overheats easily and we don't run it for ages as you're only supposed to use it for around 15-20 second bursts at a time. Now we're looking for a more reliable brand to do the same job, but it looks like a common issue with these type of ice crushing blenders.

Didn’t last long – Good blender but didn’t last very long Machine was unable to blend using the bigger cup provided and would often cut off short of time which made making shakes hard.  Show details

This is worst electronic product I ever had – I bought this product on boxing day sale 2 years ago. I used it for a year 15 times in a year only for needing a cookie dough and for avocado smoothie still some of the parts are packed. . then i haven't used it for a year as I was away Now suddenly it stopped working. It works now and then sometimes but doesn't work the way it should be. Not… Read more

happy with this product at all. Try to call customer service but doesn't helpfull as warranty was only for a year.

Must have appliance – This is a life saver appliance. I use it for absolutely everything: baby food, smoothies, soup bases, salad dressings. Everything. Just wish it were a little quieter and less like a jet engine turbine lol. Show details

Product is good, but my personal unit didn't last longer than 2.5 years under minuscule usage – I previously had the Nutri Ninja Mega Kitchen System, which I reviewed here: https://www.productreview.com.au/reviews/82b01c70-653b-3cdb-aa82-fe6b19cd628b Unfortunately, late last year the motor in my unit burned out after about 7 years of constant use. What I realized though is I used the juicing capabilities more than anything, so I set out to… Read more

find a similar juicing system. Ninja was on the list along with Nutri Bullet and a few others. Having loved my previous Ninja, my bias fell towards this NINJA BLENDER DUO WITH AUTO-IQ - BL642 system as it seemed perfect for what I needed now: 1) a good size pitcher for juicing up a few liters at a time; 2) multiple various size drinking cups to drink stuff on the go.

The cups come in 3 sizes, and the openings are massive compared to my previous version. It's welcomed! I can easily fit bigger chunks of fruits/veggies. Not to mention the screw on drinking caps are significantly easier to drink from. As an added bonus, the lid as the snap-down mouth piece so when you're not actually drinking from it, you can be sure that if the cup falls over your contents won't leak out all over the place.

The main pitcher itself also seems more solid than the previous incarnation. The blades are essentially the same, and do a great job at pulverizing everything with the exception of kale - it just can't seem to get it down to something fine.

The base unit has nice features. All the buttons are lit with a blue LED depending on whether you have the pitcher or drinking cup in, as not all features are available for all accessories.

At first, I just used the "low | medium | high" button settings. Then one day I got brave and said let's try the "blend" option. BINGO! I love it more now. I put my cup in, hit the blend button, and can walk away as the blender executes its 40-second program to perfectly blend everything for me in the cup.

There are a few downsides to this product as well. First, the noise level. I would have thought after 6-8 years they would have been able to find a quieter motor. Apparently not. So expect noise when you run it. Second, the suction cups on the base unit don't have the strongest of suction, so sometimes when I start it up, the unit slides a bit due to the force of the motor spinning. Not massive amounts, but enough to be noticeable at times. Eg, you might have it sitting on your counter-top facing in a 5 o'clock position. Then you start it up, and it turns to face a 4 o'clock position.

EDIT Updated May 18, 2024: The motor on this unit has slowly started dying, and smells like it's burning. It doesn't appear to have even lasted more than 2.5 years as of the time of this writing. All I use it for is smoothies and the occasional blending for soups. Under such minuscule load, I wouldn't recommend this product for the long haul as it should be able to last well beyond 2 years.

GREAT BLENDER – This machine just about chews everything into a fine liquid. Haven’t found anything yet it won’t devour. It’s a bit loud, but to be expected with the job it does. Haven’t long bought it, so disappointed to hear it’s been discontinued. Highly recommend this product.  Show details

A good duo system blender – Very satisfied with my purchase. I did not realise that this model has been discontinued. It is such a good model, very powerful. It comes with pre-set program (auto-iq) and easy to use. This blender can handle both liquid and solid food well, no fuss and no mess. It is a little bit loud but not that bad. Overall it is a keeper.  Show details

Brilliant – Great machine with heaps of different modes and accessories. Small cups are great for smoothies and small amounts and the blender is perfect for larger quantities. Blends really well to a liquid consistency with no lumps. A bit loud but what can you expect.  Show details

Good Blender - Needs more blades – Purchased this 2 years ago at The Good Guys. This machine gets used 4 - 5 times a weeks and has not missed a beat. It needs a few more blades, as it is sometimes a little coarse, especially when blending fruit. The blender can be noisy as well, but therefore it is very powerful. I would purchase this product again!  Show details

Blends just about everything...but not like on TV – This blender gets a workout at least 5 times a week, mainly blending frozen fruit, protein whey powder, rolled oats, ginger, a slice of lemon/lime (skin and all) yoghurt and water. It turns the lot into a thick, velvety smoothy. I occasionally make pesto - fresh basil, garlic, olive oil, parmesan, salt, pepper and pine nuts, mostly thrown in… Read more

whole - into the big bowl with the 2-level slicing blades. It does a good job of that too.

The only problem I've had is that 50% of the time the cup leaks while blending. It ends up spitting out some of the contents. It could be that I'm overfilling it or not tightening the lid completely. But once any liquid gets into the thread of the lid it will leak.

Otherwise, this is a must have gadget for us.

So Glad We Chose This One! – After searching around for months (yes, months) for a blender and doing all kinds of research, we finally went for this one. The IQ settings don't seem to be overly intelligent but they work. It crushes ice, makes soup (cold) and blends smoothies. Nice and powerful and seems to be well built  Show details

Worth the money – We researched for a blender/shake maker for a while. Noticed alot of the cheaper versions had motors that would absolutley struggle to cut a banana, let alone anything else. The NutriNinja set up is great. Easy to clean and use. Only drawback is it is exceptionally loud.  Show details
