Poor quality Hose – Bought a 30 meter Nylex heavyweight Hose from Bunnings, hose became stiff and brittle within about 18 months and prone to kinking, developed cross-sectional cracks and leaks which I attempted with limited success to repair with duct tape. The hose was meant to have a 20 year life, If I still had the receipt would return the product for a refund

Do not buy a Nylex hose! – The hose connections break, the hose is so stiff it won’t lay out straight instead twisted. Won’t wind back in the reel and swells overfilling reel and leaking connections. Rubbish! Show details

In the past I have had other cheaper/medium priced garden hoses which perform much better than the Nylex NeverKink. They were far less likely to kink and get tangled.

To summarise - The Nylex NeverKink Garden Hose is misleadingly named. It does not perform as it's name suggests. In this case - Extra cost does not give you better quality or function.I would advise you avoid this hose and buy a less expensive garden hose.

Dissatisfied Nylex customer – . Bought one of their 30mtr Nylex never kink garden hoses approx 3 years ago from Bunnings with I think a10 or 12 year guarantee, with such a guarantee we didn't keep the sales docket, 10 years is a long time. After 3 years we now have kinks, splits and leaks through at least a 1/4 of the length of the hose. Will not buy another Nylex product and definitly not a garden hose again. are normally guaranteed for a minimum of 8 years and upwards. I decided to use the credit to buy a 12mm x 35m Pope Pinnacle based on a Team Members experience. Pope offer a Lifetime Guarantee and it cost $109.00. I have been advised to hold on to the cardboard packaging and also the receipt which I will scan and file on my Mac. Hopefully I get a longer run out of this option.

Worst Overpriced Hose on the Market – We bought this hose from Bunnings about 10 months ago. It was suppose to last 10 years but only made 10 months. Cracks in the hose started to appear in a matter on months even though it is suppose to have a UV protection against damage caused by the sun. It finally ended with a giant split in the middle of hose and was unuasble. This hose also use to kink and the fittings leaked and was heavy to move. severe manufacturing fault – hose instantly swelled up to an extremely large size, possibly double the diameter, became too heavy for my children to use. if you would need to replace the fitting in the future or shorten it, it would be impossible as diameter is now too large. also kinks almost instantly even under pressure. i have never seen a hose this badly made before, i'm not sure what is happening with their QA but they haven't tested it at all. Show details

The worst Hose EVER – The Worst hose ever . It expands to twice its size making it heavy to drag around . The ends blow off and its never leak ends leak more than a cheap $10 hose . Disappointed with what it claimed – I am tired with hose that kink when you are twenty meters away. brought another brand of hose, certainly wouldn't recommend this hose due to the problems etc. have a cheaper hose and different brand for the same period of time and it excels over this hose 100%. hose was great for the 1-2 months after that it went downhill, also the hose had to be left in the sun for it to soften before it was any good to use. also if water was left in the hose and in the sun it was even better, but on a cold morning or winter morning it would stay in its coiled state and be useless.

Does the complete opposite. Full of kinks – This hose kink and tangles continuously and is very hard to untangle. Does the opposite to when it says. We returned 3 hoses and a family member had the same experience and returned their hose too. Quite expensive product. Show details

Fittings are rubbish for an expensive hose – Fittings are rubbish have already returned one to Bunnings and about to return second not a cheap hose expect better. Cannot rely on when you connect another hose just comes apart

Rubbish don’t bother – I contacted nylex regarding the hose I brought a year on or less and the hose has sprung many leaks they haven’t even bothered trying to fix the problem will never buy another nylex product.

The cheaper hoses are better! – The hose still kinks, swells up in the sun, fittings are poor quality, I've used a lot cheaper hoses with less problems. I don't recommend buying unless you like the color only!

refit at both ends of the hose and somehow they still managed to leak; most frustratingly the fittings do not hold at the tap connector under pressure.

Will be replacing all fittings very shortly.

to do the job let alone any heavy duty ideas. When the nozzle pulled out of the trigger I rang Nylex to confirm I had assembled it correctly as the instructions are beyond a joke (Have a look at instructions if you are ever in Bunnings).Anyway I had put it together correctly and I was told not to worry about the nozzle ,which I can say, when you are up on a roof and the nozzle keeps flying out is a worry. I returned it and purchased the more expensive heavy duty sprayer at almost twice the price ....please do not fall for the cheap price, in this case you do get what you pay for.A complete waste of money..useless beyond description.It has made me worry about all Nylex and associated brands.
