manufactured the Fireplace that we had purchased was no longer in Business, but we should still get the Fireplace cleaned so they provided us with the number of two Tradesmen. Unfortunately, both Referrals only worked on wood / open fireplaces and did not work on Gas Fireplaces. After ringing multiple Tradesmen and Gas Services in Brisbane and being told by all those contacted to that point that none worked / serviced or cleaned Gas Fireplaces, we finally contacted O'Brien Plumbing and Gas Coopers Plains and they said they would attend. The Tradesmen arrived promptly at the agreed time and cleaned and serviced our Fireplace. The Tradesman was from New Zealand and knew a lot about Fireplaces. Also. all the communication from the Administrative Staff was excellent so the all around experience was great. After initially struggling to get anyone - after contacting O'Brien's Plumbing and Gas, we cannot recommend the service we received, enough.

 Follow-up  · We had a lot of difficulty actually finding a Tradesman who would service a Gas Fireplace in Queensland? We had no success contacting the original company who sold us the Fireplace and asking them who could service it and after ringing numerous Tradesmen and having them say that they didn't do Fireplaces, we rang Obrien's. Could not put zero stars- Stay well away Paid close to $10,000 for storm water pit. It was not until I had been charged an additional $1000 over 11 months to repair issues that they provided a manual (to wrong pump) and advised pit needed to be cleaned and maintained. system was not suitable for storm water and I would need to clean after each period of rain to prevent issues. When issues arose at 5 months I asked the tech that attended how to prevent from happening, I had discussed with tech that cover was too hard to remove. They indicated just try and cover to prevent debris entering. On second visit in 11 months they replaced the valve (then informed me the $250 service call was now $700) It was on this visit that the tech informed me we could and should clean the pit. This tech adjusted the grate to make the pit accessible to me so I could clean. The system then failed again in under 3 weeks of $700 service, O'Brien's offered to "quote to repair" and also wanted to quote to reposition the float that was left in a position that prevented activation. I have since engaged another service that needed to replace the $700 3 week old part and repositioned float this was only total $350 cost. way over priced, no warranty, no customer service.

I had tree roots in storm pipes which caused water backup after heavy rain.I found the plumbers to be prompt,informed me of their progress at every step and compared with other companies the final cost amounted to a lot less.

later on in that day. Jay came out and quickly found out it was a split pipe with water spraying out. He went down to Reece plumbing brought the part back and fitted it to perfection. I have used O'brien plumbing many many times before in the past and will continue to use this company as they are excellent plumbers and very reliable.They also provided me with a 10 percent discount on the price of the bill and being on the pension that saved me a little bit of money. Many thanks for fitting me in on the same day and to Jay who sorted out my problem. He also reminded me after he had finished the job if there was anything else he could do. Many thanks Jay for reminding me if there was as i would only have thought about it only after you had left .Also many thanks to Justin who came out a few days beforehand and serviced my dripping taps which needed to be reseated. Okay overall, but hellishly exspensive !! – We had a burst hot water pipe somewhere under the paving around our house. I’m almost 80yrs and my wife 73yrs yet we both dug and found the leak! they leave as the new tap didn’t work correctly on day of install which they came back and fixed. I don’t like leaving negative e reviews, but this service and pricing shocked me.

Didn't show up or call for two days of air conditioning service – I made a booking for air conditioning service and told 7:30 to noon. Never heard from them once on the day. I called three time and at 4:30 told the technician had gone home. Rebooked a week later for noon to 4pm. Never showed up again nor called. I called them at 4;30 and cancelled booking. BEWARE OF THE UNDISCLOSED FEE FOR A QUOTE BEFORE YOU CALL – To be fair we cannot comment on the quality of this company’s work .We engaged them for a quote for a new larger hot water system which we eventually did not replace . was the correct price for just a quote and the curt reply was just ‘Yes it is !. I totally understand that businesses have to charge for their time and overheads and we have no problem with that ,but I really think they should be transparent about exactly how much they charge up front .Most reputable businesses will do that so the consumer knows what they are in for before they get a surprise bill .

Forgot booking, can’t re-schedule until next week – Had a burst pipe leaking roughly 1L / second. Booked me in two days later at their earliest availability. The day comes around and no plumber, I call back and they say they forgot or missed my booking and can’t come back until next week. Don't bother – Rolled up 40 min late and couldn't do the job until power was moved near gas bottles. Charged us $190 for being there for 10 min. Said to callback when power moved. Called no reply then won't answer calls. Totally ripped off. Would not recommend them to anyone. Show details

Ben was on the level – Initially unsure but when relaxed Ben was courteous, prompt and helpful. Later he passed by again and offered to help. I was very appreciative as it was a difficult task.
