had bullbar, winch and lights installed by OL South Nowra. I DO NOT RECOMEND.... - No communication from front of house to fitters - Zero handover at pickup - Work was incomplete at pickup - 2 return trips to get all work complete - charged for work… Read more

not carried out - minor damage to vehicle not reported - tools were left under bonnet and in bash plate - Front of house staff had zero concern for significant inconvenience caused for multiple return trips to get work completed and poor workmanship rectified. One would;d think after spending $10,000 + on this purchase alone (plus prior purchases) that there would be some level of customer service.

Follow-up  · To answer the questions asked: "What was incomplete?" - When I picked the car up (the first time) and told is was right to go, the 12v socket had not been installed in the tub as requested - Bash plate wasn't installed, again I had to bring this up as OL said the car was ready to go. "What tools were left?" - a ~500mm Snapon pry bar - 10mm ring… Read more

I went to opposite lock Rockhampton to get a rear locker fitted. After 2 cancelled bookings for installations I dropped off Cruiser for the third- duration about 3 months. Got it back after they sub-contracted the job to a local mechanic. They fitted the switch sideways and failed to give any instructions on its use. No verbal explanations, booklets, pamphlets, etc. Should have just done it myself. I won't be back .... Show details

Recently took my brand new Amarok to opposite lock SlacksCreek......to fit Bullbar , winch and roll top canopy. Bullbar ok but realised that when they fitted the winch directly from the battery. NO FUSE PROTECTION. When they completed the roll top canopy they dented the top of the guard. To their credit they did pay for repairs at the local dent… Read more

doctor. Siliconing of the trims very ordinary after refitting the rear sports bar.. took a couple of hours to remove excess silicone from tail light and sports bar...after a few months exposed silicone turning yellow and very poorly administered...looks like roof and gutter silicone.....wouldn't get these guys to fit anything ever again. Wayne a nice fellow but his installers quality of workmanship questionable...

Auto Tailgate Installed ✔️✔️✔️ – A huge "Thanks" to Michael, Chris and team at Opposite Lock Windsor Gardens for fitting my Auto Tailgate to my Haval Jolion. I struggled to find any one who could do the job here in Adelaide but fortunately I was referred to Opposite Lock. Great group to deal with, excellent customer service and communication. Highly recommended. Show details

Buyer be aware of shotty installations – Be wary of this company! I’m not stating it’s all as they may be owned and run individually but the Gosford store which operates under central coast motor group was absolute appalling! There’s a reason they’re now closed! I brought a HSP Roll R cover for my ranger costing over $3500 and not once but twice i had to make a warranty claim as the… Read more

first time it stopped working, making clunking noises, jamming up etc. took it back and told it was a defective unit. A new unit got re installed and to my surprise it happened again after about six months. Only to find out it was again installed incorrectly! Tracks were not straight, specific washers not installed, over tightened my sports bar so it bent the track up in the air 10mm off my ute body. It was a complete shambles!

Credit to HSP when I had to contact them again for a please explain and they sent me to a new preferred installer who has to remove and redo the entire unit again.

Buyer be aware of opposite locks installation teams are obviously not trained and just after a quick dollar

Opposite lock nowra – Poor quality workmanship. Car came back with hole drilled in chassis ,nuts missing ,rust from drill shavings and grinding rust burns on the bonnet. They offered to fix a small portion of the damage and have "no idea" how my bonnet got covered in grinding sparks. Was booked in for wheel alignment also but was told they didn't do it because the car… Read more

was "too level" . The car won't be going anywhere near that place for fear of more damage. If you want a 3 month old car butchered and vandalised they're the team for it

absolute crap will never go there again – On organising airbags to be fitted to my vehicle in islington, I get home and inspect to find the outer covers not installed correctly or pulled down to cover the inner bag. next day returned and apparently fixed got home to find the same issue. Work poorly done again. Pulled covers down myself and still remain in the same position a week later… Read more

which I shouldn't have to do since wanting the warrantee. They also disconnected the dash cam and when questioned why the key would not turn off accessories (radio and cig lighter etc) they said it was a common problem. (nonsense) when they disconnected the web cam without permission they broke the socket when they disconnected it. ( I had to pay an auto electrician $150 to find and fix the fault). absolutely no response from management as instructed by staff to myself. I have spent thousands in the shop but first time using the workshop. Never again Read all the reviews above to see why. users be warned

Windsor Gardens SA = exceptional – Chris and Michael set a high standard - accomodating, honest and back it up with great work. OL products have been great, and their work is exceptional. One of those "3 letter" companies were going to be 8+ weeks for a bar and canopy- these guys had it all supplied and fitted in <2 weeks, with $$ savings! Show details

Great price and great service – Opposite Lock Wangara (Perth Western Australia) What great service. These guys are busy but go out of their way to answer your questions and do a great job. I had 4139kg GVM upgrade underbody protection Bull bar Spotlights Winch Snorkel . Very good price and great service. I would recommend them with a smile. Take note. Horrible!! – I can EASILY say opposite lock are the most inauthentic and incompetent operators I have ever experienced. If I could leave 0 stars I would. They messed up my Celfi installation, upon driving 120km round trip back to them 3 times to fix it, it still did not work. Then having not driven it for a year due to minding my sick dad and using his car for… Read more

the period. When I used my car again and went bush the celfi unit still did not work. They said basically its now out of warranty sorry.

Yet it was subtly admitted by them that it was an installation error that caused the unit to break “again”.

They installed a Bushranger winch, when I first tried to use it under load it did not work, winding back out against the gears.

They installed a rear tail and swing arms for the spare wheel and gerry cans. When I got home I tried to remove the spare wheel from under the car but could not get the bar in to wind it down due to the new bumper tail blocking the hole. Driving 120km round trip once again for them to remove the tailgate and remove the wheel. When they installed my platform roof rack they used poor quality metal brackets for the canopy which started corroding within 3 months.

After minding my dad I moved down to Moruya, reported to them that the winch and celfi does not work and has NEVER worked. They told me to bring it into them so they could inspect it. That I would have to leave the car with them for the day.

My partner and I drove 200km with 2 cars so she could bring me home. When we arrived, they told me they could not do anything for either thing.

So we drove back there with both cars, totaling a drive of 800km with 2 cars for no resolution, just more fuel used and miles on cars.

I have had new celfi and winch installed elsewhere now and it all works great.

Worst company I have EVER dealt with in my life!!!!

They messed up every job I have had them do. wiring and installation is worse than a 12 year old kids work.

Disappointed with Piak Bull Bar and Opposite Lock's Lack of Support – I purchased a Piak bull bar, expecting it to be a robust and reliable addition to my vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, in terms of me making a really bad choice. The bull bar started rotting from the inside (under the powder coating) and look a total mess. The scruffiest part of the vehicle and yet one of… Read more

the newest. Whilst the bull bar is a few months out of warranty, I find this unacceptable for a product that is supposed to withstand tough conditions.

I reached out to Lee from Coastal Off Road who supplied and fitted the bull bar, and Lee said he would contact Opposite Lock, who supplied him with the bull bar. A lot of going backward and forward went on, but I finally got a reply. Opposite Lock would not do the honourable thing and replace the bar, which I know is out of warranty, but Sydney Opposite Lock replaced a friend of mines because it was doing exactly the same thing! To make matters worse, Opposite Lock (according to Lee) said they would not replace the bar due to its condition…. Which is why I was asking if something could be done about it in the first place!! Opposite Lock refused to acknowledge the issue or offer any meaningful solution. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for them.

I strongly advise against purchasing a Piak bull bar or dealing with Opposite Lock. Save yourself the headache and look for a more reliable product and a company that stands behind their products.

Hack technicians constantly make mistakes – Had opposite lock nowra put in cel fi unit and tracker few years back. Celfi never worked. Tracker poorly installed causing wire to be damaged in unit. again and had them put on rear tail and swing arms and also fix celfi again.

Got home again and rear wheel was left under troopy so I could not get winding arm in due to new tail. Had to drive 60km back to have them remove bumper again, take wheel out and put it on swing arm ,(which should have been done originally).

Celfi buttons fall out of dash to this very day as it just sits there flopping about.

Super poor hack technicians installing all things.

Great service experience – Had an extremely positive experience at Opposite Lock, great customer service. Although they discovered that one part they required was not available, they were quick to communicate with me and to organise another time to sort the job. Their flexibility and friendly, helpful staff made up for the inconvenience of a return visit to complete the work and I would recommend OL. Show details

Would never recommend – They had our vehicle for 11 months to do works, along with sending the vehicle to two other companies. date being from Canberra and flew in that day to find the car was not complete and still had extensive work to be done. We arranged a new date 4 days later. We came back to find it still incomplete and were obviously annoyed and then confronted with a rude Manager unwilling to negotiate a time or put more men on the job. He was fully aware we had taken leave from work, flown in, booked accommodation which we had to then extend, take more time off and cancel appointments. Whilst waiting for the car to be completed for us to leave they damaged the paint on the roof of the car. Would not recommend unless you have extensive amount of time and happy with no communication. Avoid the rude manager, the other guy were were originally dealing with is much nicer.

Worst customer service in dealing with customer. broken commitment/promises – Opposite Lock in Jandakot WA, Oct-Nov 2021. The staff was not able to deliver the committed job completion. Disgusting display of customer service – I had a gas tank removed today at Opposite Lock Caloundra. They quoted $1100 and 4 hours to complete the job. I arrived at 8:30 in the morning and [name removed] the owner said that they forgot to call me as the brakes had not arrived. So there was my day stuffed as I had already re-orgainsed my work day. They rang me a couple of days later and said the brakes had come in and [name removed] said to me that they would only need 25 minutes as he would put 2 guys on it so I could just wait for the car. Booked it in, waited in the waiting room, and 1.5 hours later I had to go into reception to see where my car was as I was told 25 minutes. She then gave me the invoice - $775??? [name removed] came out and said that they had forgotten to quote me labour... That is not my fault. They quoted me a price and they made a mistake but I had to wear it. They gave me a small discount and the invoice was still $704.80 which I had to pay. Disgraceful customer service. Expected more professionalism! – Had a less than professional experience with Opposite Lock in Bundaberg. Wanted a heavy duty towbar fitted & wired for my FG XR6. to pick up the car when the job was done, the counter guy quickly running over how to take off the Hayman towbar ball, which I knew anyway-it ain't a science. No visual checking of the wiring for the lights while I was there, which I thought was more important. Took it home, connected it up to my caravan to check the lights were all good. Nah! Put the L/H indicator on in the car & the R/H caravan indicator comes on. L/H caravan indicator not working at all. Traced it back to no L/H indicator power from the connector they installed on my car. Took it back & saw counter guy. I asked if they had tested the wiring before returning the car to me. Twice I was told 'yes'. Obviously a no. Counter guy brought out their light test panel, hooked it up & saw the issue of crossed wiring and no power. Said I'd come back the next day as I didn't have the time then to stay & have it fixed. No apologies offered for inconvenience. Came back the next day with no customer greeting or professional courtesy & still no apologies. The only words I got were 'keys please'. Nice attitude counter guy! A young fella fixed the no power issue & told me they had overlooked connecting the wire for the L/H indicator. About to drive off & asked if they sorted out the crossed wiring issue. Young fella said counter guy hadn't mentioned that. Hmm, professional!. Young fella fixed that in 3minutes-thanks mate! After paying decent coin & giving a local company some good business, I expected a lot more professionalism and some basic manners.Learn to apologise for your mistakes counter guy-it ain't hard! Will go elsewhere next time.
