So disappointed about this expensive product – bought this product with the belief that its high value will satisfy my requirements. However, after using it I felt really disappointed as the lock of this juicer automatically open when I juice 1/4 of the apple or beetroot and the juice just stuck inside the juicer. Every time this happens it made a mess in my kitchen. I saw the advertisement… Read more

that the juice can juice the whole apple but I believe this is a false ad. This juicer could not do that.

In addition, the chute is always got block when doing juice. I can't juice even 3 glasses of juice. After juiced 2 glass of juice, I need to remove every single part and clean them before I can juice other glasses.

Terrible! Clogs mercilessly even when you chop greens into tiny 5mm pieces! – I purchased the Optimum 700 when it was first released in late 2016. First cold-press juicer after having had centrifugal juicers for years. My husband wanted to send it back straight away, but I insisted we stick with trying to find a way to make the damned thing work... I followed all of the advice - cut stringy greens into small pieces; put… Read more

them in last, or put them in sparingly with other hard vegetables like beetroot or carrots; make sure the rubber thing is in the exhaust bung hole properly; don't over feed it; don't push items in, let them be chewed in by the auger; oh I can recite them all!!

We are trying it again now with another juice fast, and it has just gotten worse! Even when I cut the celery into 5mm (no joke) pieces, it still clogs instantly. It is groaning and creaking and I swear it is going to split itself in two. We end up with a ridiculous amount of pulp in the finished juice - sure, I can handle a little, but it is like 25% pulp...

I see that they have discontinued the 700, it's no wonder why... It is a flawed unit. I am unhappy that they have not reached out to all of the poor, unsuspecting customers and offered them a replacement, seeing as how they KNOW this one is rubbish...

I have had enough and submitted a warranty claim, let's see how we go. I will keep you all informed.

Excellent juicer and a great company to buy from – I purchased the Optimum 700 for my wife for christmas and she loves it! When I purchased the juicer, I debated between the Kevin's B6000/C7000 and the Optimum 700. I pored over so many reviews - written and video - and decided on the Optimum. The constant quality of the juice and it's ability to handle whole fruit were the primary decision makers.… Read more

When I purchased it, I was given the opportunity to upgrade to the version 2 of the juicer (which I did). This version has an issue with the hopper jamming on some fruit. We experienced the issue twice the first week (on a half beetroot and a small, whole apple). I reported the issue to Froothie (where I purchased from), and they acknowledged that some units have this issue and sent out a replacement hopper and centre spiral "juicer" part. I received the replacements within a couple of days (they sent it out the first week of January no less).

After using the juicer daily using the same recipes (whole apples, beetroot, carrots, oranges etc.) we have not had the issue at all.

To say that we are thrilled with the purchase is an understatement. My wife produces a few litres of juice and it stores for several days at a time. The quality of juice is fantastic. The juicer is quiet (although you should expect the normal noise from tougher fruits).

I can't say enough good about Froothie too who were very helpful and quick to respond to the issue. Don't be put off by the hopper on version 2, just contact them to ensure that the unit you purchase will have the improved hopper and you'll be thankful that you decided on the Optimum 700!

big thumbs up from our family – I have been running my new juicer daily for a month now. Have got the whole family participating in the juicing which is done just prior to cooking our tea each evening, then the juicer is rinsed and washed while tea is being cooked (I don't find it hard to clean) which is encouraging us to clean our tea preparation dishes as we go so working… Read more

very well, and means we get to sit down sooner in the evening. the quality of the juice is great- the juicer takes large pieces of fruit easily although I do cut things in half that are large. We started more with high proportion of fruit and gradually adding more veggies and while backs are turned all sorts of unidentified vegetables happen to be juiced. A couple of times a week I juice in particular order to use the pulp to make savoury or sweet scones which is also proving great- and an easy meal to have with soup when they come fresh out of the oven. Overall I got it at the sale price so fabulous product and great value for money.

I have 2 for commercial purposes and they just do not do what they advertise !!!! – I bought 2 for commercial purposes as I wanted to provide a better product than the centrifrugal juicers.... however unlike the videos and advertisments suggest, I have to cut everything into tiny pieces, and it still jams up, it cant handle apple cut up into 10 pieces, or pineapple, let alone leafy greens such as kale or celery, spinach or… Read more

Ejection chute always gets blocked when doing greens or celery – I am so disappointed with my juicer. I paid top dollar for a quality product and it has seriously failed. If all you want to make is single soft fruit juice eg: watermelon then its fine. However you do not have to pay nearly $700 for the privilege. I did a lot of research before I bought this juicer and felt I had made a good choice. I have had… Read more

this juicer for a couple of years now and have gone back to my old cheaper juicers as has everyone else in my family. My problems are

Will not grab the the fruit and vegetables about 30% of the time when I drop into feed chute so they just keep churning around and around never being caught by the auger to go through and be juiced which means pulling everything apart and starting again. It helps if I chop everything really small however not what was promoted in the info video and does not always work.

The eject chute .... what a nightmare!!!! If I want to juice any fibrous plant material such as herbs, kale, spinach and worst of all celery it will block up unless I assist is out constantly with a pointed sharp knife to keep it moving.

Its a hassle to clean but all juicers are. I really thought that I would be able to juice 2-3 liters of juice with my $700 juicer without having to stop and dismantle several times, probe out the pulp constantly and I would completely forget this juicer if you are wanting to make medicinal juices such as anything green. Wish I paid the extra and went with the Greenstar. I have a kogan cold press juicer which I paid $70 for and although i is a lot louder it does the same job with less hassle and I would have saved a fortune. Over all I am completely disappointed in my juicer as it has certainly never functioned the way I would have expected. Why am I writing this when my warranty has expired you may ask? I just got it out again to try and see if it was my imagination and felt compelled to warn serious juicers away from this product save your money!!! Also my juicer is the Optimum 700 $698 including postage (19.95) I really wanted this to work I was trying to support an Australian company.

This is my first juicer and it is perfect – The optimum juice is amazing and easy to use.The inlet is huge and you can chuck the whole apple in without cutting. The machines is very quiet when running and I am very impressed. Cleaning just a piece of cake. I take around 2min to disassemble and clean it. Faulty product, curiously questionable customer service practices – I ordered the 700 juicer, and was told via email that I was eligible for a 'free upgrade to the 700 2nd Generation. I was thrilled of course, as they said in the email that these upgrade offers were 'unusual'. end of August.

Fast forward to the end of September, and I finally have my juicer (after a hastening by me). I gather all my ingredients and start dropping them down the chute. The beetroot gets stuck halfway between the big mouth and the feeding tube. And there is no way of pushing it down because it's stuck in between that L shaped door flap. To make matters worse, the auger pushes it'self into a 'super locked position and I can't remove it.

ELEVEN customer service emails, videos back and forth, increasing frustration, and a request for a refund reveals that I have been sent a faulty unit. They NOW said they were aware of the problem and would replace the auger and screw.

New auger and screw arrives and it is from the Original 700 Series that I had ordered in the first place! I asked why I had received a different product and was reassured that this one would work 'exactly the same' (direct quote).

Oh well, that's what I paid for, so let this frustration be over. Then I tried to juice a whole apple...wrong move. I am now back on the 'customer support' treadmill.

I don't want any more 'We're here for you' smiley faced emails. I just want a refund, of which the end result will be my being out of pocket for shipping delivery AND return :-(

Optimum 700 Cold Press Juicer – Took delivery of our optimum700 direct from Froothie early Oct.2017 It was a real problem from the first day. The wiper would stop rotating and the screw would clog up with pulp. The whole unit would then pop of the drive shaft. However its not all doom and gloom.. We contacted Froothie and after two weeks of back and forth with e mails , videos… Read more

, photos etc. They decided it was an inherent design or manufacturing

problem in a small number of cases with this model. We were given a new re designed screw and main body.

So far (2 weeks) it hardly missed a beat. But you need to cut things up the 25mm length and not very thick.

Beet root, celery & even apple will make it work and produce loud grinding noises. I must say the response we

received from Froothie was prompt and helpful. trust this machine now will keep producing for years to come.

Keep you posted.

Excellent Juicer. Learn the 'knack' and it juices most fruits and even fibrous leafy vegetables very – I am on day 116 of an epic juice fast/feast (inspired by discovering John Rose on youtube) and i have been using the optimum 700 2-3 times a day almost every day since beginning this 'solid food vacation'. It is a quiet and powerful machine and the build quality of the unit and components feel well built and solid to me. The juicer has a 'knack'… Read more

which i have learned over time. I juice fibrous greens and fruits like celery or pineapple AFTER or with softer fruits and vegetables and I chop them as small as possible before juicing otherwise the fibers have a tendency to clog in the output barrel and chute. There is some minor cosmetic wear developing from vibration on the juicer base where it meets the top assembly, but with these minor issues aside it does a great job of juicing most fruits with very good extraction and quite speedily. I can clean the juicer in about 3 - 5 minutes now ( I use an old nylon mesh nut milk bag instead of the included brush to clean the straining barrel) My favourite Juice? I have many but chilled sweet ripe rockmelon juice has been a staple for a couple of months now which i continue to relish with blissful satisfaction :)

(tip: Choose ripe rockmelons by smelling the outside of the fruit. It should be fragrant and sweet and the colouration should be minimally green. The old looking melons which have darkened can be the most fragrant smelling and the sweetest. As long as there are no soft rotten spots and no fermented smell i suggest to go for those!
