Love it – Have had this machine just 48 hours and I absolutely love it. First I made nut milk, was cagey as new machine but pleased with it. years in a very expensive kitchen machine and never got as good a result, I think I managed to pick wisely this time. Now using this machine daily, if only it had been available a long time ago as it blending everything perfectly. Nut milks are a doddle these days ☺️

Easy to use Blender – iI originally purchased the Optimum 9400 2nd Gen but I was finding it trickky to move the dial - I kept using the soup dial for my smoothie so I was getting a warm smoothie by the time I took notice that I have place the dial wrongly. I can set the time and leave it while i am doing something else, so far I have use this blender for making Juice and smoothie I think the Optimum 9400 2nd Gen is more powerful as its blended dates smoothly, the first time I use G2.6 , my dates was not blend smoothly - I have to use the pulse function then use the smoothy fuction to get my dates smooth. I thought this can't be right, so i tried again using the smoothie function and I added dates for sweetener instead of honey and the result was not a smooth one , there were still pieces of dates underneath. its puzzle me, this blender crushes ice and frozen fruits but not dates. I really dislike this. I don't have this problem with optimum 9400 2nd Gen. apart from that I cannot fault this machine. Overall, I am happy with this machine, it is lighter than the Optimum 9400 2nd Gen. I really like the wide 2L jug and its dishwasher safe. and only need one jug to do all - wet and dry. Froothie gives 10 years Warranty which is great and Quick response from customer support when you need help. The froothie team do look after their customer well. I am Happy with their customer service. I am looking forward to use this blender for my soup and nut butter and all other things that can blend. :)

Super Powerful Blender - built to last – As my old blender died, I searched online looking for a good quality blender with a reasonable price. And I ended up with Optimum G2.6 Platinum. contents (like nuts) lift up inside the jug. Now I know why a tamper is essential. I love metal couplings. I'm sure it will last for a long time. My previous blenders all had plastic couplings and they all stopped working as the couplings worn out. Here I attach photos of 1) cashew nuts before blending, 2) cashew nut butter after blending one and half minutes (just to make it creamier) and 3) cupcake made out of cashew nut butter (Cocoa flavour on top & coffee flavour in the middle with almond and dates base - yum).

Changed my lifestyle - easy to use everyday – A year on and it’s still a beast. This blender has meant my household starts each day with 4-5 serves of veg and 1-2 serves of fruit in under 2 mins of prep. I can also have a healthy snack any time.

Pros: making smoothies, veggie soups, dips, purées - anything that needs to be SMOOTH. It’s speed/strength makes preparing and eating whole foods really accessible - a smoothie is 2 mins away, takeaway is at least 10 mins away. Controls are simple and easy to use/see.

Cons: bad at chopping especially ‘juicy’ foods - turns them to mush that stick to sides. The 2Lt jug can be over sized for dips and purees (need to make a lot for the blades to work) and small for soup (can hold about 1.4lt of soup safely). If you are blending hardcore items with the tamper - you must hold on tight to the jug handle to prevent it tipping off the drive shaft / base.

A bit of waste is inevitable with thick mixtures - I bought a skinny spatula to get around the blades and am satisfied.

After 11 months the jug was really cloudy. I cleaned it to clear using vinegar and bicarb soda.

I use it so much I decided to get the 1 Lt jug - haven’t used it yet - blade configuration is different to the bigger jug though.

Extra pros: I’m happy that I can buy replacement parts in the future rather than throw out the whole thing when one part is tired.

Excellent Support – This blender is the workhorse of our kitchen, its used daily and we rely on it. 3 years and it stopped working. I contact Froothie and they helped me with details to return and to have it checked, they maintained excellent communication sending me updates of the progress. There were no stupid questions like " what did you do to it", they repaired the problem and swiftly returned our much-loved blender that went straight back into service. On top of that they also supplied a new jug as the one I sent with it they decided should be replaced. This is an ethical business that stands by their product, and I am happy to endorse them and this product. Great job, well done.

Was an awesome blender. Was one of the best – Updated addition at the end. I have had this blender for a few weeks and so far it has managed to blend everything i have put into it. Okay machine, not the best design – I had previously owned a Vitamix and thought I would try a different, cheaper brand. Unfortunately, the design of this jug hasn't taken into consideration the length of the taper, as it doesn't reach low enough to actually mix or push down what you need into the blades. often trap air above the blades, pushing whatever you're trying to blend above them, causing the blades to not actually blend the intended contents. I would not recommend.

It's not a Vitamix – not a Vitamix Our 20+ yr old Vitamix finally tired out. After doing some research we decided to go with the Optimum G2.6. There are some issues with it, especially if you compare it with a Vitamix (which is the obvious comparison) 1.) doesn't fit snug on the base. When you start to blend it spins a bit before something catches it. Not sure if that will be a wear issue down the road. 3.) An online review mentions a user who grinds coffee daily, and another grinds Himalayan salt. They failed to mention any scratches or cloudiness as a result, but when we made garam masala the blender was scratched and stained brown several inches up. Apparently it's just very ugly but not actually damaged, according to customer service 4.) Not sure if the smell will stop happening. The manual mentions it but seems to indicate it's a recurring issue.

We were planning to return the blender, but the buyer is responsible for return shipping, which in our case was estimated to be approximately $70 (plus packing materials since we didn't think to keep those, our bad) so we are going to keep it. The hummus and related recipes did blend very smooth, so hopefully we'll get some good use out of it.

Update 1/6/2024 My wife was using it recently when she said "when we get some money ahead we need to buy a better blender", so caveat emptor.
