Product and service quality – I purchased an Oricom DTX 4200X offroad pack at the Caravan and Camping show Adelaide. There was a problem with the handset which Oricom have promised to replace without any hassles , hopefully that will happen. I would then recommend this service . I also purchased an Oricom Tyre Pressure Monitor system, still can't get it to work. Show reply

Prompt warranty replacement – Had rare fault in handset connector to transceiver. Oricom support simply asked for photo then on spot authorized replacement part to be shipped. Way it should be. Show details ·  1

Great UHF - Could do with some new functions – I really enjoy having the dual channel. Great for working around the farm and dealing with trucks around the area. Be good to see some modern updates that Uniden has I like as a farmer is having the ability to scan unencrypted emergency services, especially RFS. The other thing it misses is a quick button to assess emergency channels. Be perfect in my opinion with those updates, especially for farm work. Show reply

Have had trouble at first. I still believe that the unit is Value for Money – The Radio worked fine until I turned it off but after calling the hotline Oricom were very quick to diagnose my problem and send out a replacement Microphone head unit. Show details ·  1

I'm impressed so far – I mounted my radio behind the back seat of a Triton 4wd so it is out of sight and I hate "cluttering" up the dash for a number of reasons, especially on the drivers side. the mic extension under the passenger seat and connected to the mic cable under the seat.

This worked out neater than I expected as the mic cable lays along the side the passengers seat and is still easily usable by the passenger or the driver. This also prevents the cable from getting under foot and cluttering up the passengers floor area.

The radio, mic and cables appear to be well constructed. Audio and sensitive, etc have work well so far and I will putting it all to the test of the next few weeks. Would I recommend this radio, yes!

Small base unit, big handpiece – A great unit that can be hidden under the dash in most cars. A microphone handpiece extension cable comes with the unit so distance is not an issue. The handpiece is much larger than other units, and this gives great control and clarity, but for those with small hands it may be uncomfortably large, and it makes mounting in some cars a bit of a pain. this, nor could I find a good video to speed up my use of my new toy. Over all the Oricom DTX4200X is a great device and very glad I chose it over a single channel unit. Would highly recommend.

Fitted to My new D-Max – Loving the radio so far. The controls are easy to use, and the audio is clear and easy to understand. setting your monitoring channel - for me that's 40, loader than you talk channel ensures you don't miss anything important whilst navigating busy outback roads.

So clear and really easy to use – Seriously the dtx4200x is the best uhf cb radio I’ve had. Bring able to listen and use two channels through the dual receive is sensational. Awesome UHF Radio! A+++ – Awesome UHF Radio, very easy to use. I really like the DTX4200X because it is a dual receive Radio. I can easily listen to and monitor 2 channels at once. I have paired the radio with the Oricom 3.5dbi and 6.5dbi interchangeable aerial kit and it works great. Compact comms in a box – Purchased the DTX4200X Ultimate 4x4 Touring Pack with the ANU1100 Antenna (3Dbi and 6.5Dbi whip - Town & Country Antenna). The second channel did appeared to be quieter on the mic, when receiving, not sure if this could be user error though - investigating at my end.

Used happily around Tasmania, keeping in contact with fellow travellers and other people on the air.

Need to learn more about squelch and other functions but for simple use it's a great unit.

Mounted antenna with a GMG4x4 bonnet mount, keeping it out of the view of passenger. Finding a space to mount Unit was hard, but I found a space behind the glove box to, technically (and physically), wedge it into place.

Used a fuse tap to utilise an ignition fuse in the cabin fuse box for the positive wire, to ensure it doesn't draw power when car is off. Used an existing earth point to clip the negative wire to.

Compact 2 in 1 – Small enough to be mounted under the dash of a 2020 Prado, with cables long enough to reach the driver. Thank you Oricom, Great customer support – I had the unfortunate experience of a large duck hitting my Oricom antenna just above the spring and the antenna snapped off. really covered under warranty. Fantastic customer service and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. I haven’t received the antenna yet but I am sure it’s in the mail and can’t wait to refit.

Quality equipment - great value Touring Combo – Very easy to install and very clear reception. Volume is clear and loud and the larger display is great for safer operation whilst driving. A very solid high quality aerial sets off the whole package - very pleased so far.
