Poor quality, cuts out of range often, video quality poor – We have had this monitor for 5+ years, and have just replaced it with the 3rd baby (we would have earlier but had invested too much money into it). quality itself is so poor it is hard to distinguish much (esp at night time). I cannot tell if baby is lying on stomach or back or side. I can barely make out which direction baby is facing. The volume settings are not adequate, with the lowest volume being quite high). Same with the light on the video too being bright too at lowest setting. I would never buy oricom products again, and have upgraded to another brand upon viewing a family members superior monitor system.

Does everything you need – We have used this monitor for 4 months now and has been great. off, turning volume up/down or off while receiving video only or turning video off and only receiving sounds etc, zooming in or out on screen stuff like that... -Screen turns off and only lights back up when your baby moves or makes sound which is nice so the light from the screen doesn't keep you up at night, you can also just touch a button to light up the screen. -Good range, i can go out my back yard to the gardens and still works fine (not out the front of our house though, i guess its the amount of walls it has to penetrate which has the biggest effect on range).

Cons: -The lowest volume on the receiver can be too loud at times and should have ability to lower sound more than it can. -Lullaby music plays too loud for the baby late at night in my opinion.

startled when it goes off in the middle of the night. I’ve contacted oricom and their only suggestion was to send a video in of the volume level. When my baby wakes, and scares the hell out of me (because of volume level) the last thing I think of is to grab my phone and take a video. I turn the volume off straight away so not to wake my husband or the rest of the house. Really disappointed that a refund isn’t offered if you are unhappy with a product, not a standard practice these day’s. I return items all the time for being unhappy with them and should be able to return this monitor as well.

Does exactly what we need it to do – We used to use this monitor to spy on our toddler but now we use it for our new born and it does everything we need. Especially like the option of digital zoom with the ability to move left, right, up or down whilst zoomed in. with the charging base that stopped working but one phone call and a brief chat with Janet at their customer service department and I had a new charging base sent out under warranty within 3 days. Highly recommend Oricom because they make decent products and they stand behind the products too with 3 year warranties.

This has been an excellent monitor with 3 kids – This has been an excellent monitor with 3 kids, we have expanded the unit by purchasing additional cameras. Easy to use and set up with reasonable range on the monitor and good features such as the night light. We had the monitor fail after 2.5 years of constant use and Oricom replaced it no questions asked, great customer service! Show reply

Wont work well with multiple cameras – Works great with only one camera connected. Didn’t miss a beat. However when I connected another camera to the parent unit, I have had multiple problems. Both Cameras constantly go out of range, even if I haven’t moved the parent unit at all. Scan function wont always work either Show details

Good value – We have had this monitor for 2 years now. The very first one we had was replaced as when we opened it out of the box and plugged in the camera picture immediately went multicoloured stripes on parent monitor. 2 years. Easy to use. Good quality image, love the night mode and power saving settings that turn the screen off if quiet. Simple plug in and turn on at both ends and it works. No messing around with internet connection and apps and worrying if the videofeed will be hacked. 2 yrs on we are only now are we having issues with out of range, vox not working and parent unit turning itself off even though fully charged. We are currently working through this with oricom as it is all still under warrenty (love the 3yr warrenty). The team have been friendly and supportive. We have been very happy with this product.

Had a problem but great customer service – Our first 710 monitor had ‘out of range’ issues and was disappointed however after calling customer service they did some tests with me and determined the unit was faulty. Customer service rep was very helpful, apologetic and replaced the unit within a week. The monitor is good and works well now, but I was most impressed with the service from Oricom. 4 years and still works! Some minor issues – We have had this monitor for 4 years now and The image and sound quality is still great. The only issue is that to alert you of sound or movement it vibrates very loudly, even if it is just a cough, and this can be very alarming when you’re in a deep sleep yourself. Ours loses signal all the time now too and the range isn’t great, so we will be looking into a new one for bub number 2. This has definitely done the job for the last 4 years though. Show details

Had a small issue with the charging base however contacted Oricom and it was replaced. Has been great, have the odd occasion where the screen freezes but all in all have recommended to friends and family.

Perfect for our needs – This was the perfect camera system for us. We have loved that we could add a camera when our second baby came. Has dropped out but very rarely and either fixes itself or a quick reset will fix it. We have had it for over 2 years and it’s still going strong and used daily. Compact, basic, used friendly – The audio and image quality on the unit is great for the price range. From the monitor you can adjust light levels, zoom in and out and speak to baby, as well as play nursery rhymes. We would like better range on the unit, we often take the monitor away in the caravan however can’t go to far because the unit cuts out. been able to turn the screen off manually but the sound still comes through. I much prefer when it makes noise if they're waking rather than hearing background noise from their room through the monitor (white noise etc that we have on). Nowhere does it say that this is what happens so I'm really disappointed. We also have found the quality in my daughter's room now is terrible as the PowerPoint is a bit further away & you can't see the whole room clearly
