camera device and ends up very light/bright on screen when the camera is angled down. I had to angle the camera itself- couldn’t put it on a high flat surface looking down, as the downward angle doesn’t work well. It would work well if 2/feet from the ground looking at cot but I prefer a birdseye view into my baby’s bed. Happy with the audio & video (when not angled too far in any Direction) although I do hear my baby crying before the audio picks it up- even on the sensitive vox level. The set up was easy. For the price I paid if I could go back in time I would have considered others, but I bought based on brand, as my old oricom was a great device.

monitor is very slow to react, I’ll hear bubs down the end of the house well before the screen turns on. - It has trouble adjusting to the night time vision, so you won’t be able to see bubs for a bit before it decides to switch to night vision, or I’ll have to go into her room and fiddle with the blinds to hurry the process along. - I’m looking to change this one out as soon as I can find a monitor I like.

the night. The lowest brightness setting was still so bright it would light up the room, not ideal when wanting to check on the little ones during the night (surely no one ever uses it at its highest setting??). I was willing to look past these shortcomings...

BUT, after 3 weeks, I noticed both cameras (at separate times) changing positions on their own (ie. not controlled by myself or my husband using the parent unit). These movements were random but significant, eg. at 1am the camera pointed at my toddlers bed, at 3am the camera was pointed toward the window or door on the opposite side of the room with toddler completely out of view. This continued despite changing the frequency setting and resetting all units. At this point there wasn't any audio or video interference, no loss of connection, and no power interruptions to our home. I contacted Oricom who were great to deal with. They hadn't heard of other reports of this happening but they were happy to provide a full refund for the faulty unit, which I was pleased about.

I wasn't able to buy a replacement baby monitor that same day so we used it for one more night... This time our 2yo was woken at 4am by a deafening and alarming "siren" sound booming out from her camera unit! A far cry from any of the lullabies or white noise that comes programmed in a baby monitor. We were all petrified! All units were swiftly turned off, unplugged, boxed up and shipped back to Oricom, far away from our house. Safe to say we'll be looking at alternative brands.

Not happy with product or customer service – The monitor is ok when it works. The angle/tilt on the camera is really poor and we cannot see our baby properly unless the camera is at eye level with the baby. Our screen keeps going black and we can’t see anything at all except the temperature etc on the monitor. When contacted, Oricom said they would send out a replacement. They did not mention we would have to pay to return the product! That is unacceptable for a faulty product. Show details

Good video poor sound – This is the second baby monitor we have purchased from oricom. The first we were really happy with the display and picture quality. This one has really clear display however very poor sound. We can barley hear out of it even on highest volume setting. Can’t hear if my new baby cries during the night. Show details

Good monitor – Very happy with the monitor for its purpose. Good picture, love being able to pan and tilt. and smooth that none of the stands can get a proper grip on it without it popping out of the clamp. Needs a flat/square base stand or something to be gripped or for oricom to release a stand to hold it.

Very disappointed – We purchased this camera with a bonus second camera. After 2 weeks one of the cameras just stopped working. Then after about another 3 weeks the power saving mode stopped working. coughing the other night and the camera didn’t turn on once. A cough isn’t quiet and should of been picked up by the camera. Customer service were good and are sending us 2 new cameras so we will see how they go.

A solid baby monitor – Overall very happy with our purchase. The quality and features are good for this price point. charging and just move the receiver around when we are going to another room where we cannot hear the baby. With the screen on, the battery only lasts a couple of hours at most, but that's fine for our use. We just wanted to be able to be at the front of the house or to have a shower during the day while the baby is sleeping. So this does the job perfectly!

It is pretty easy to use. It was pretty much a matter of just plugging it in and setting the time. The camera takes a minute to "start up" as I think it moves around its entire range to calibrate itself.

The volume is a little quiet (we generally have it up to the max). The night vision quality is OK. Not great, not bad, but the day time camera quality is pretty decent. Good enough that you can easily see your baby's face and if their eyes are open.

Being wireless (not wifi), there's a slightly delay and the frame rate must be about 15 frames per second, so not perfectly smooth. But very good for a wireless solution. I've heard friends having all kinds of issues with wifi cameras, so I think this will be much more reliable. We have a standard single story house and with the camera in the back bedroom, the receiver has no issues picking up the signal at the opposite end of the house.

Mounting options with all cameras are difficult, as ideally you need some kind of arm to mount it over the cot so you can see the baby's face. But I just built a stand out of scrap wood and have that sitting next to the cot. It works well and the ability to move the camera makes it easy to get a good angle.

Again, very happy with the product for the price point. It fits our needs well.

Really Good! – The monitor works well and does it's job. I definitely recommend it for a mid range priced system. Not using WiFi is also a bonus (in my opinion) The monitor screen is a great size, screen is clear and large. actually quite small so you need the pan option to see the entire cot. I have mounted the camera quite high and still need to use the pan to see my baby when she wriggles around.

The vox mode is great. I have it set to middle and it will light up to a loud whinge (however it also picks up loud cars!) The VOX paired with power saving mode is perfect for night time as I don't have the light staying on when it picks up her dreaming or noise from outside.

Overall it's a great monitor, does its job well and I definitely recommend it.
