Not a perfect start, but a product is only as good as the ream behind it – Picked this unit up today, and unfortunately purchased a faulty one. A quick call to establish it had issues and got a replacement same day. Can't fault the service at all. Oh and the unit works great Show details · 1
Excellent uhf radio – After market service was exceptional. When I had a problem, they were quick to respond and provided a replacement part promptly. I could not ask for better service than that. Show details · 1
Truly plug and play. Fantastic – Preparing my 4WD for a few trips, didn't want to spend a huge amount but wanted reliability. Saw the other reviews on the 395 kit and took the plunge. Wired in working within 30 minutes. 6.5db aerial great range, clear speaker, easy controls. Couldn't ask for more. See how we go for longevity, only had a few months and a couple of trips but great so far. Show details · 1

Rubbish – Purchased this today from Repco and After having the install done, it appears that you can only transmit ok and not receive at all, i have tried to communicate with my hand held and my sons in car GME but no good, zero sound from speaker but shows incoming signal also tried the 8ohm speaker plugged into the back, also will not monitor and give you… Read more
open squelch, zero sound from speaker. Update: The unit decided to turn itself off and will not turn back on, shortest lived cb radio I've ever owned, purchased at midday today, died at around 3pm today, obviously a faulty product.
Great unit but poor connectors – Installed the unit easily enough but the dc connectors are flimsy loose and are intermittent, had to support them to ensure a constant connection, hopefully it will be ok off road????.Need to look at better power connections Show details

FME Connection – Hello for fathers day i received a great gift from my kids which is a 4WD . As a radio enthusiast i thought i will upgrade my UHF to place in the 4wd . So i got a Oricom uhf 395 ( for my birthday ) as it is compact and out of site and just the mic on the dash . Thought i can just hook it in and of we go BUT come to a big HALT only to find out… Read more
the Aerial connection is not a standard aerial connection . So disappointed that now i have to wait up to 2 weeks for the FME connector from Oricom to be delivered . Why is the FME connector placed in with the radio in the first place as you cannot get them any where , Should be able to buy your Antenna kit with cable and FME connector and base all in one as well . So i will be returning the unit back and will be getting another brand with the same features . Sorry but should be all complete in with the radio not a separate item to buy . Not happy

Slow scan and poor reception – Wanted to upgrade from UHF280 to the UHF390 but the 280 was overall better. The UHF390 has a larger display and channel/volume button is now a dial, the microphone cable is now longer and it has an FME antenna port instead of the PL259. Open Scan is nearly twice as slow as the UHF280 which some people already considered slow in comparison with… Read more
Uniden. My old UHF280 scans all 80 channes nearly twice before the UHF390 finishes the first round. I kept the antenna because it was pretty good, but with the UHF390 I receive only a fraction what I received before with the UHF280, despite setting the squelch on 2 only. The most annoying part is that it remains sometimes off after starting the car, especially when the car was only parked for a few minutes. I checked the battery voltage but it is over 12V and shouldn't affect the voltage protection. If I stop and turn off the ignition for a few seconds, it does come on with the next engine start. I guess what you pay is what you get. It does a basic job and the controls/speaker on the mic are good for installations under seat or behind dash.
Efficient warranty service – Installed well. Had a fault with it not turning on. Excellent service: I rang and they gave me a warranty number. I sent proof of purchase and they sent a new one. Very happy with the 5 year warranty. Show details · 1
I had a bad earth – I have installed the unit that i got for Christmas as per the instructions The unit worked fine for 4 days only Now it wont turn on. I have checked the power to the unit and is fine I am so unhappy I am now happy. It was my fault perhaps as i had a bad earth i think. So not the units fault Show details · 1

Great quality great price – I run oricom on all my vehicles can not beat for quality and price . Loud hand piece with its own speaker easy installs great hard wearing products. I will be trying other oricom products I.e handholds and tyre pressure readers Show details · 1
As good, if not better than expected – Very clear reception, easy to use and easy to read LCD screen on the hand set. The 6.5DBi ANU200 whip antenna that came with the purchase looks a bit flimsy but I will probably get a smaller 3DBI for the bush anyway. For half the price of GME , the Oricom radio is an absolute bargain and every bit as good as GME in my opinion. Installation is… Read more · 1
very simple but I bent one of the pins on the DC plug. I asked Oricom if I could purchased another one, and without hesitation they said they would send me another one free of charge. With support like this I will not be going any where else for future radio equipment as I can't see how I could get a better all round product and service.
Good customer service – I purchased a UHF395 for a new installation. After installing I found that it would freeze on the initial voltage screen and when it went past that it would neither transmit or receive. After much troubleshooting to determine that the unit was faulty I contacted oricom. Janet was very helpful and arranged a replacement for me which works perfectly. Show details · 1
Warranty replacement – The uhf390 was installed by an auto electrician. Worked for many months then failed to transmit or receive. Rang the help desk who could not have been more helpful. A replacement was sent all ok again. No stress or drama. Show details · 1
Works very well - good range and very dependable – Reasonable value for money, easy to install and simple to use. Has intuitive features that make it easy for first time users to pick up easily. Manual needs some simplification and tech details like supply voltage but otherwise is a positive product I would buy again. Show details · 1
Replacement – Purchased uhf 380 when I bought my Ranger as I worked for Ford we installed many . Years later had issues rang or oricon they replaced it.again when it had issues Show details · 2
FME Antenna connection – Purchased from Repco in June and the Bat Flu has prevented installation unit today (September). Installation was easy but the lack of a standard PL259 antenna connector and no way of sourcing one late on a Sunday afternoon means although powered up I can't use it until I can chase up an FME Female- PL259 Female adaptor during the week. The UHF390 comes with a Male FME connector on the back and I supplied my own antenna. Show details · 1
Great product. Would highly recommend – Extremely easy to install. Small size made it easy to fit behind the dash and keep it hidden away. Great product. Would buy again and recommend to others. Thanks very much Show details · 1
Great Unit – Fitted this to a 2019 D-Max, the size of the unit made it perfect for this Ute with its limited space for mounting, also very easy to set up and use. Show details · 1

Awesome little unit – Very compact and easy to mount behind the dashboard. Lightweight design. Simple to use. Speakers are clear and there is plenty of volume. Got this mounted in my Dmax for Highway and off-roading and can’t fault it at all. Awesome. Show details · 1
Good value unit – Good compact unit however the power and earth connections are really small and have broken while getting the unit into position , better quality connectors should ble standard and surely don’t cost much more Show details

Great compact unit & easy to use – Modern cars can be difficult to find space for extras. The UHF390 being very compact with ample cable was easy to fit and all the cables match so quite and easy installation. Did not have to drill any holes so that is a bonus. Simple functions, it was easy to use and very handy on our last road trip. Show details · 1
Easy to install – I really like the size of this product and that it can be hidden away. Annoyed that a traditional antenna connection doesn't fit the unit, considering I bought a bundle it would have been nice to have the adapted included. Still, great product. Show details · 1
Great Unit – Fits easy in the cab. Was able to route all cables out of site. Double sided tape holds the handpiece in place perfectly while driving and not using. Color change options are great for matching interior lights of vehicle. Love the ease of use and overall look of this UHF. Paired up with the town and country it is a great combo. Price reflects this combo. Show details · 1
It’s ok for the time being – Just not happy with it at moment but also haven’t had much time to accurately test and use it properly , it didn’t come with the antenna adaptor also had to go find it at a local electronics store Show details

Happy with Product – Happy with the product and the way it works. The only down side is you only get a plug and fuse with the package. You need to buy the micro terminals to wire it up. But you have to keep cost down somewhere. Show details · 1
