This turned out serendipitously as a really great choice for my husband. smaller single bed could have been very tricky for him, but the extra couple of centimetres meant that it fitted the frame exactly so there was no worry about him falling out of bed! So a win-win for both of us that it has worked out so well! At this stage he has had no need of an electric blanket (which I would prefer him not to have) but as Winter progresses, I would probably use a couple of hot water bottles to take the edge off any coldness if necessary. We do get -6 degrees at times but have full-length thermal curtains and a small electric radiator, which we use to pre-warm the room before bedtime. That being the case, I cannot foresee a time when any other heating would be required as he generates quite a lot of heat in himself, which is just as well as I would not leave hot water bottles or an electric blanket in the bed in case of accidents! From a bed-making perspective, the weight of the mattress is good enough to avoid the sheets becoming 'untucked', even if he does dream of fighting a wild animal - the duvet may slide to the floor, but the sheets stay put! That is definitely a win for me!

From the order to the sleeping experience I am unimpressed with Origin & the quality of the mattress. I responded to a sale promotion and was very annoyed to discover after paying for the order that the sales item was not in stock and it would be a month or more before delivery. actually have in stock. The communications with customer service were not helpful & seemed to just brush me off as I had no leverage, I'd already paid. I was then finally given a delivery date, yet the mattress arrived days earlier and it was luck that I was home as I wasn't expecting it to arrive. After only a week of use there is a compression mark on both sides of the mattress which is very obvious when the bed is made, you can see the raised area down the centre of the bed where it doesn't get slept on. Prior to buying this mattress I slept on a latex mattress (20 years!) which was more comfortable & took years to get those same compression marks. I wish I'd kept it!

given away our old mattresses in preparation for the new so by Oct 27th when we had received nothing, I contacted customer service who replied (after 24 hours) "Thank you for reaching out to us. Your order is currently on pre-order, with the next shipment for Hybrid Plus - Queen and King size scheduled to arrive in mid-November. Once your order has been dispatched, our shipping partner will be in touch with the delivery details, including a tracking link, so you can easily follow its progress. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or need additional assistance."

We heard absolutely nothing further until Nov 15th when we received a barrage or delivery notifications saying that the mattresses had been picked up and were in 'en route' and would be delivered in a matter of hours!! Fortunately it was a Saturday and we could arrange to be there to meet the delivery team at short notice! The mattresses themselves are literally a dream. Easy to set up, very supportive and extremely comfortable. We have now enjoyed 2 nights sleep on them and have no regrets over the purchase despite the lack of communication and delay in delivery.

Very happy customer, the mattress suits me perfectly, I chose the firm side and its great. I've not slept on it in really hot temperatures, but at overnight temps of early 20 degrees have been fine. I wake up feeling rested, and that's all I've really asked of a mattress. Show details

I bought an Origin mattress for myself which I love and has helped immensely with my chronic back pain. My daughter who suffers with PPMS stayed at my place for a few days, so I let her sleep in my bed. The next morning, she told me how comfortable my bed was and how she had fewer pains. was no problem. I've got to say, it's a great mattress. Very supportive on my back, and I love how you can flip the top section to switch from medium firm to firm. I didn't notice any bad smell at all from day one like others have reported, and I slept soundly from the first night. And it doesn't seem to retain heat , which is great for me. It's been about a month but I have no intention at all to return it. I highly recommend it.

Mattress out performs my old one:-) and the quality is outstanding for a bed in a box. However, it leaves me wondering what I am missing out on with the Hybrid Pro!

Great mattress for the price! It was a little slow to ship, but big items usually are. The temperature control is excellent, and for a side sleeper, it is very comfortable. Impressed that it showed no sign of sagging or developing grooves. The removable and firmness-adjustable top is a great feature too, allowing washing of the mattress top and a choice of how firm the feel is. Highly recommend this mattress. Show details
