We are very pleased with our new mattress and the fact that is is compatible with our adjustable base. It is firm but very comfortable. A huge improvement in our sleep and aches and pains, almost non existent. Show details
The mattress is different to what we are used to. It is soft on top but firm underneath. It took us about 2 weeks to get used to. I probably wouldn’t buy it again though it’s fine for now.

Finally a bed with super support for my back degeneration that's super comfy as well. I LOVE it and sleep uninterrupted. My only down point was the weight of the mattress. I’ve been using the Origins Lumbar Cloud Hybrid for about a month, and honestly, it’s been a game changer. My lower back usually feels tight after workouts, but since switching to this mattress, my sleep has improved big time, and I wake up feeling way more refreshed. waited. When I questioned why it was taking so long, the response was that they had a sale & this unexpectedly increased the volume of orders. When it finally did arrive, the box was left outside my home while I was at work. The condition of the box was appalling, with multiple rips & packing tape holding it together. I then had to pay a third party to get it upstairs to the bedroom, which I had expected would be included with the delivery. Less than one month later the exact same product is now even further reduced - with a countdown for when the deal ends. This was the same technique that convinced me to purchase it originally - the deal was ending that day and I was made to believe it was my last chance to get the reduced price. This is borderline false advertising, making out like you’re getting a great deal & it’ll be delivered quickly, only to have them use said deal as an excuse for a delay.

Avoid the Origin upholstered bed frame and mattress. From day one, it has had serious functional issues: 1. Persistent loud squeaking with normal movement, despite Origin advertising the frame as “quiet / noise-free.” This is not occasional — it’s repeatable and disruptive. I’ve attached video evidence. 2. causing an inward slope when lying flat. Centre support legs float above the floor when unloaded, meaning the frame only engages support after the bed flexes. I’ve attached photos showing this.
3. Colour is materially different from what is shown on Origin’s website. This is not a minor lighting variation.
We followed Origin’s own troubleshooting instructions (loosening and re-tightening bolts evenly) to fix the squeaking and sagging, allowed weeks for the frame to settle. Nothing improved.
Customer support acknowledged the issues in writing and escalated to management, yet the problems remain unresolved. I’ve attached screenshots of the email correspondence as well.
The mattress itself is too soft, sags in the middle and also the sides (structure is weak), the bed frame is poorly designed, misleadingly advertised, and not fit for purpose. At this price point, this level of noise, sagging, and misrepresentation is unacceptable.
On top of all this we requested a refund 2 days from trying out the product, we’ve had the product of over a month now and still no word on the refund.
Please avoid purchasing this at all costs, as I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through this experience for a very expensive mattress purchase.

Follow-up · We bought a wool mini jumbuck topper for the mattress and it is now perfect We kept feeling the mattress indentations with our feet when we first got the mattress but with the topper it really is just perfect, the mattress support is good and very comfortable probably soft to medium.

warranty will only cover it if it’s it’s sunk over a certain amount…disappointed really. Supposed to be some sort of award winning mattress but it’s not winning anything in my books.

We did have an issue initially though which was easily resolved. It seemed that there was no stock available when we placed our order as there was no update for about 10 days. We contacted Origin customer support who apologised for the no-stock-delay and offered a 5% refund as compensation for the delay. We received our order in the week following.
I was offered a reward for my review initially, however, this has never been paid.
Follow-up · We don't find the mattress unduly hot compared to other mattresses we have had in the past. We have found that because the mattress is soft that partner disturbance is less than harder mattresses.

It is for these above points that I give 4-stars, not 5 The flippable mattress topper we found to be a significant let-down in that when placed on the Origin mattress it slips and slides as does not stay appropriately in place. It is also a bit bigger than the mattress and makes it impossible to fit even deep-gussetted sheets over it and the mattress. Plus, the combination of mattress and mattress-topper, when placed on top of a base or slatted bed makes the whole combination much higher off the ground and more difficult to get in and out of than it really should be. Accept the mattress on its own merits. on which it stands as very good for the price. The mattress-topper, for us was not necessary and the pillows were surplus-to-need and so have not been used

it. The only reason I give it a 4 star (and this is a problem with all box mattresses looking into it) is the outer edges are very soft / collapse when you sit on the edge of the bed. The structural integrity just isn't there when compared to a off the floor mattress. For us it isn't a deal breaker and we have no intention of returning it. We will probably end up replacing our other mattresses when needed with this one. If you can get your head around getting a mattress in a box and not going to a shop laying on dozens of mattresses to select one, this is a luscious thick mattress that has surpassed our expectations. We absolutely love our new mattress and that’s coming from someone with a Tempur Pro. In fairness the Tempur was over 10 years and needed replacing, however the cost would have been thousands more than our new “Origin LumbarCloud”. This is an absolute scam, from the Origin company to the shipping which I daresay they own too. There is no way to contact them other than an email they don't reply to. I had to wait months to get my money back by reporting it through PayPal. The good reviews here are fake. Really disappointed.
Has lived up to all our expectations of comfort and relieved the back pain that had been experienced on waking in the last 20 years for my husband.
