Osko

This service was down again costing me over 3 days to wait for money. It is failing a lot these days and the regulator should be getting involved to fine this service. It is an essential service that fails with regularity...
literally, just steal your money. I made a test transfer of $20, when that when through I transfered the rest and then POOF it was gone...no notification, no explanation, just take what they want.
The regulator should make it illegal for banks to partner with this scam tool. My daughter bought a ticket to a concert and the seller attempted to recall the ticket just before checkin time. Luckily my daughter checked in early. Really tired of how careless the gov is. Osko provides no contact information for escalations, not even a way to report… Read more
scammer IDs....they want non of it. They refer you to the police who we all know won't move a muscle. Stay away if you don't want to be scammed.
A Company with no care factor – A Company with no care factor who blatantly misleads and deceives. Your payments are far from instant. Any company who fails to claim their page and respond to complaints clearly couldn't care less. You are committing fraud on a grand scale.
The app for scammers – The favourite app/payment method of Facebook Market place scammers. They tell you they use it all the time, they have no problems with it, get your bank details as well. Never ever use it
failed payment again – This is twice that it's happened to me once receiving $100 and just now sending $285 to my partner but then I sent her $30 dollars and it went through so it wasn't the details I got wrong
Payment Delays – On the 15 September 2023, I made payments to 2 people that I have normally transferred money too instantly, and it took over 24hrs to process to them from ANZ. ANZ say it is not them but believe it to be an Osko problem. There was also a problem with delays on the 14th, but thankfully not 24hrs. It may also be happening to others .......?
Not working or down so often – The Osko system is down or not working so often. It can work properly this minute but not working or down in the next minute. It happens very often.
It works fine but delays can happen – I have sent and received hundreds of Osko payments. But some banks put their limits on this so called instant transfer. For example one bank I use has a limit of only $1,000. Anything more it it goes through as a regular bank transfer. What that means is that if you send on a Saturday morning and there is a long weekend then it won't be processed… Read more
until Tuesday, so payment won't be until Tuesday or the Wednesday.
The other thing that might cause delays is a new payee. You might add a new payee and because they are new the bank you are sending it from might put a hold on the transfer, again delaying it for at least 24 hours on a business day. Generally though it works well otherwise. I transfer money between my own bank accounts all the time without any hiccups and the transfers are instant. Same as repeated payee Osko payments, most of those are instant as well.
This is the second time I have not received my money – Second time no money. Comm bank ignores the problem. Pay id can be cancelled anytime. so no payment. This is a scam.
Hit and miss – Won't be using this form of payment again. It's such a hit and miss. Osko, you need to do better!
Absolutely unsafe. I was scammed and because its osko u don't get yr money back disgraceful – Unsafe not protected from scammers. Needs fixing soon as possible
Useful tool but not 100% reliable all the time – Only once when my interstate Daughter needed funds on a Saturday was Osko down for several hours. Today I tried to get SMS text verification on bank transfer and twice it said unsuccessful so I switched to voice verification and it worked, on a Saturday. I knew that Vodafone or my new Samsung had delayed passwords since yesterday from sites just as booking.com so cannot solely blame Osko technology! Show details

Know better, choose better.
Unreliable – Cannot be relied upon. Tried to purchase a used car. Waited forever, in the end had to leave, funds left my account but could not take car. Just unreliable joke.
I would give it zero stars – Great when it works. Good luck getting your funds when it does not. 2nd payment made to known payee. Bank claim there was an osko error. 3 business later dealing with branch manager told that if it does not hit their account the next business day we need to do a track and trace which can take up to 2-3 weeks to investigate where the funds are… Read more
(this does not mean they are returned in 2-3 weeks)!! There is no recourse for you as a bank customer or protections. Asked the branch manager for details in writing and stated they cannot provide in writing. I have also contacted financial Ombudsman. So at present we have no money and no car purchase which the money was used for. So in 2022 I can track a pair of airpods on the otherside of the world but a bank WILL NOT RETURN funds to you as they claimed that they no longer have the funds. I have also checked the bank terms and conditions and nowhere does it inform you of using osko as a default payment system or what happens if it magically ends up nowhere.
Basically as everybody else says - good one minute, bad the next – One day I will find something nice to write about someone - just not today. The first time I used Osko I made two payments from separate banks on a Sunday night and it was all done within 15 or so minutes. One bank sent me an SMS to reply to in order to confirm the transfer. Fast forward two weeks later. Transfer from one account to the same Pay… Read more
ID as previously, same amount, and bank submitted the payment with no issues.
An hour later and I'm still waiting.
A quick review of the Osko website and it's the usual non-answers you'd expect to see.
A quick review of Google and it's obvious that Osko isn't always reliably fast - as within minutes as it claims.
I'm annoyed because I needed to do something quickly - there were other ways to do it but Osko should have made it quick and simple. It didn't.
What's left to say.. it's great when it works, but it seems that's arbitrary at best.
Unreliable..very INCONSISTENT! – The service is so INCONSISTENT. Once in a while instant. Most of the time several hours. Sometimes even a few days. All these happens to the same OSKO eligible accounts!
Stops working properly every 2-3 days with 'instant' transfers taking many hours – If you need reliable instant transfers you can forget about Osko, when it works is ok but every few days it fails badly. Today is the second time is not working this week so expect it will fail again once more before the end of the week. There has to be a better way to transfer money out there, cryptocurrencies can move almost instantly between wallets so why can't the banks transfer money between accounts the same way ? Show details
Receiver - reference details – We receive numerous payments from customers. Most payments using OSKO via a phone bank app - Payment Reference never comes through. We receive the remitter's name and the words "credit to account" twice!
The slowest transfer times i've seen – We receive payments from AU banks by deposit multiple times each day , either immediate or same day. BUT WITH OSKO it's 2 days - the slowest transfer , why advertise fast payments when they're clearly the slowest. False advertising , they need to be taken to court.
so much for being quick – I Osko transferred $2000 from my bank account to Coinspot to invest asap - the transfer still has not happened 23 hours later... I called my bank after 2 hours to be told this could take up to 24 hours "for security issues"- never again Osko
A flawed product – Osko is a service recently introduced by banks for paying bills and transfering money. It is promoted as being quicker than direct deposit using BSB and Account number. Beware! One time I used it to pay someone. Completed the transaction and signed out of my online bank account. I don't check my statement all that often, but was surprised when a… Read more
month later the other party said "You haven't paid". I found out that the transfer had been rejected as the other bank was not a party to Osko. So it's not quicker. You have to check later to make sure the transfer worked. Other problems. 1) I was buying a car and wanted to get the money to the dealer in a hurry. Sooooorry! There is a maximum on how much you can transfer in one go. $30K I think. 2) When I look at my bank statement on-line, most debits show to whom the money was paid. But Osko just shows Osko. So I have to drill down to find out. 3) My bank (Bendigo) has Osko as a default. I can turn it off, but not permanently. So every time I make a payment I have to turn it off. That's annoying and a black mark against Bendigo.
