The jury is out – The entity that arrived today (8/2/2025) was called ''on call plumber" seems they are a 'backstop' to OUR LOCAL (SERVICES), which is continuing to operate (ie NOT discontinued as above). pipes near the house, the chap was on time and spent a couple of hours removing the blockage and provided some descent advise going forward, for a very reasonable price.

Today a plumber from 'Our local' arrived, this after wasting 3-4 hours of my time 3 days prior waiting for same to happen (the plumber to arrive), they didnt, and NO communication until the 'time window', was almost closed.

This issue of not updating the customer until they have too, can be improved.

Problem today was a device a previous plumber had installed, that was past its life or leaking. Result & Resolution...a Fixed price charge (well above cost of device); for half the time spent by the last Our Local plumber (including a bleedin Credit card surcharge), with NO flexibility on offer at least for the prior failed booking day (perhaps due to the fact the plumber that came out WAS NOT from Our Local.

Apparently/Allegedly the plumber checked with his boss and no adjustment was possible. Not really "you're a repeat customer, we'll look after you"....as i was assured.

Following this a number of unsuccessful re-bookings to fix a resultant problem, were made & missed, until today. Yes further time invested (but just 'air' now). Upshot issue resolved.

Will I use them again? YES. 'stuff happens'. But I will ensure Our Local tradies are the only ones that come out.

One last point is that the device that failed was installed as street water pressure was above average, causing hammer and other potential issues. The On Call plumber invoice incorrectly stated that it was NOT controlled??

Unprofessional – Their tradies will come to your house and intimidate you to take the money without doing any work. Stay away from this company if you can. I needed some help at my house during heavy rain. This plumber came in did not even look the job . Intimidated to take the money and went off. If you have family and kids dont even give their address.

Dishonest Plumber – I requested an urgent hot water repair and found the unit needed a complete replacement. I was expecting 24-48 hours for this to be completed given that this is what is adevertised. However not the case, it took about a week for my unit to be replaced given that the Plumber couldnt arrange an electrician properly and there were miscommunications… Read more

between them and i was subsequently involved. I was quoted 2400 with $700 of this as electrical, but then knowing how desperate i was, they took advantage and said the electrician will need to also charge you separately as there is more work running a dedicated circuit. So the electrician came over and charged an additional 900 on top and didnt create another circuit. The plumber and electrician are both friends which obviously you know the 900 i paid was split outside of the company invoice. I queried this on a number of occasions and requested a break down of costs and i wanted confirmation from head office on the charges. This morning (after 3 months) i finally was emailed the 2nd invoice for the other half of payment however nothing had been amended. I then received a call from the actual plumber who was demanding payment and giving me abusive threats. Head office apologised for his behaviour but this may just be a case of "playing good cop bad cop" to get me to pay etc. This is so unnacceptable it makes me lose faith in the trade industry given that you are taken advantage of when desperate. It's such a shame that one person can ruin the reputation of an entire company. They need to get rid of him.

Amazing workers – This company came out a while Back and replaced my sewer drain pipes and did such a good job. I reached out to them due to my son putting a toy down the toilet. They came back and didn't even charge me!!! Amazing work

Good communication and customer service – They were quick to come out an assess the emergency hot water service issue and identify the problem. They replaced it and tested all connections and pipes. Left a clean jobsite Couldnt ask for anything more

Great company quick and responsive – my hot water system broke down got a few quotes, they gave me the best in price A GRADE workmanship quickly installed and we had hot water back again honestly I wouldn't use any other company the guys were great and friendly and very responsive

Firewood heater install – These guys came one year ago and installed my wood fire heater. We used it this winter and it has absolutely no issues. Really happy with the service and would definitely recommend. Really fair on pricing too

On time carried out the work very prompt and very respectful – I had the pleasure of having the our local team come past my house and fix a ongoing leak that I had going on for several months. Disgusting – Disgusting. Disgusting people and service, irresponsible and clearly do not know how to do their jobs. Our house is less than 10 years old, and the plumbers damaged both our toilet and the sewer, and when asked to take responsibility, charged us $1000 and said they didn’t take responsibility for old houses. Disgusting.

Go somewhere else – These guys are dodgy. They did the work they said needed to be done but left with the sewerage still blocked as they hadn’t fixed the real issue. I had to pay another plumber to fix the problem leaving me over $7k out of pocket. Issue resolved – Last Sunday I rang this company to fix a blocked drain on my property. The response time was around one hour. Whilst initially I raised a concern through a review, Adam from head office promptly contacted me and resolved the issue to my satisfaction

Very poor service, workmanship and use of substandard material for high price – Unfortunately I booked them 5 months ago to fix our leaking tap, toilet seat and also to install bidets (procured by me). They quoted $800 but could not justify the break up of costs. They never attended to my complains in spite of me contacting them many times, rather they defending themselves. Very unprofessional with poor workmanship, misguidance and too expensive for poor quality material and work. Even though I was not satisfied with their work and unreasonable charges, as a gentleman I still paid remaining amount. Never recommend to anyone.
