Negligent – Staff are wonderful. Disappointed that I was not informed of the singles meetup on day 1 because I missed it and there was no other one scheduled after that. That could have changed the whole experience of the cruise for me. Also, I believe that Carnival Cruises are negligent in not informing their passengers that there are no hygienic public… Read more
toilets on Mare and Lifou (not withstanding the beach tour where there are possibly facilities there). If Carnival Cruises are taking passengers to locations whereby hygienic amenities are not available, then either they should stop taking passengers there, alert passengers via their website and at the tour desk, or demand the islands provide suitable amenities. It is not worth the risk of being stuck and having to go the toilet and having no clean place to go!
Compaint – I booked on the pacific eden for my 60th birthday January 2019 the only special service I got was a crap voucher to the spa that covered a condition treatment for my hair that I would have to pay and extra 15.00 and a crappy birthday msg on my door that was taken we are now booked on carnival for my friends daughters 30th we are already up graded… Read more

Never again – Wouldn't do another ( Pacific Eden) P&O cruise ever! Toilets that don't flush and over flow, paint flakes sticking to your face when sitting on balcony. Food at the pantry average and monotonous, entertainment hit and miss not a good experience was very disappointed! Show details

Amazing customer service but the ship is getting old – Ohhh first of all I think P&O targets a bit of lower budget crowd so keep it in mind when booking. However, their front of the house team is lovely. Extremely charming and getting out of the way to help out. I was there with a large group of 45 in 28 cabins and from the beginning even over the email the entire team was amazing!! Pity I forgot… Read more

All the best. If you don’t mind a bit older ship and couple of funny messy guests. The crew will still make you feel great!
Comedy cruise – 3 day Comedy cruise to Adelaide, with girlfriend we both really enjoyed it. Loved the shows especially Ellen Briggs and Bob Down, Mark. Also Jemma and SSJ were fantastic in the blue room. We liked most of the food, there was plenty of variety, tried as many things as possible but still made time to relax at pool, staff good. Great family trip – First time cruisers to New Caledonia. Lots of friends have been cruising so we had plenty of advice beforehand. Booked our drinks packages and shore trips. Biggest issue was the shore trips. The shoreside P&O computer does not speak to the onboard computer. So we had no idea we were supposed to have tickets. Only by luck did I go to the… Read more
Shore Trip counter to find out what happens. They had no record of our pre-booked excursions, one of which had been cancelled (Amadee Island) by the local operator due to lack of numbers. Being as we were in Noumea the next day the only real option was the hop on hop off bus as all the other excursions we would like to have gone on were booked out! Also our trip on the Iles des Pins was fully booked. However the office staff contacted La Meridien and we were able o go. The office staff also came down to the cabin to advise us as soon as they knew. My gripe is not with the staff on the ship, they really did go the extra mile to ensure we had the best excursions we could and resolve the issue. My question is how in this day and age do P & O not have an integrated system? Being first timers, but for a slice of luck we would not have known about the cancelled tour until we got ashore. CHECK WITH THE ONBOARD OFFICE WHAT TOURS YOU HAVE AND CONFIRM THEM.
The on board dining was fine. We celebrated my daughter's birthday in the Dragon Lady, and arranged a cake. The cake was extra but well worth the $15. All the staff came up and surprised her with the cake and a Happy Birthday. It made her evening. The food was great as well.
The Italian Angelo's was a disappointment. Service was average and the food I thought was poor.
The Salt Grill was excellent and an experience to remember.
The Waterfront was nice, and the food was consistently good.
The Pantry was fine an no complaints, except I do like my coffee in the morning and the coffee from the machines was not flash.
Accommodation was fine, daily service and the stewards were superb - nothing was too much trouble. I also found the bed very comfortable, and having a bath in the en suite was a bonus.
There is plenty to do on board, we were never short of things to do. Excellent gym and the Edge team were great.
Beer was $8 for a bottle or a schooner of draught.
All in all a great experience, and but for the stuff up of the shore trips and Angelo's, I would have rated the cruise a 5. That being said, the staff on board did their very best to remedy the issue, and minimise the impact on us.
Would I go again? Certainly

Outdated Rooms/Bathrooms – Food buffets very bland and of low quality, ship itself outdated some main windows to look out need replacing as permanently stained, etc.Cabins and en-suite's need updating :-( Should have free Wi-Fi on board. Show details
Terrible service - changed my booking without my consent – I have booked 2 interconnecting rooms on level 11. Made my booking 12 months in advance. I have written to company 3 times and spoke 3 times on the phone. I explained we are a family with 2 kids and have to have exactly what we have booked : interconnecting.
Every time consultant would say - my senior manager needs to look into this and call you back. Nobody ever called me back to resolve the complaint. I ended up cancelling the trip all together.
Do not deal with P&O. Not pleasant experience!
Still waiting for the credit – Still waiting for a credit from 26/01/2018 cruise after I was promise I would get it within seven days. Very bad service and I don't think that they do what they promise. I don't recommend P & O for your next cruise. Good but rough around the edges – Just came back from the 3 night KI sampler. Being first cruise I did enjoy the cruise experience itself. Interior cabin was comfortable and to be honest is just a place to sleep. The TV though was very small, and who uses DVD players/movies anymore?. Food on the whole was ok, I didn't go hungry. However, the three included free restaurants… Read more
(Angelo, Dragonlady and Waterfront) SHOULD NOT be bookable for dinner. Should be first come first served and then wait for tables to become available if its full when you turn up. That's at least a better chance than not having any chance at all because they are all pre-booked (probably days ahead). As is stood I could only eat free at the Pantry. The food here ranged from quite nice to merely palatable. Biggest problem is not quantity, its lack of variety with many of the choices looking very similar day to day. In the curry section I didn't see a single standard beef or chicken curry. Salad sandwiches and rolls looked better than they tasted. Fish and chips was nice. A plus is being able to take food from The Pantry to poolside tables. Dessert choice is weird, some fancy cakes but not a single scoop of bog standard ice-cream to go with the massive servings of boring fruit salads. I enjoyed most the breakfast pastries. As far as drinks go, I took some cans with me and ended up drinking hardly any because 1). no bar fridge so who wants warm coke and then having to carry it around and 2). to be honest the price of soft drinks is very reasonable $2.90 as you go or unlimited for the $7 a day drinks package (which I opted to take). I was surprised that in general alcoholic and brewed coffee prices were surprisingly the same or cheaper than in a city pub or restaurant. A selection of cocktails were $12 each at the bars which is pretty decent. I call ripoff on bottled water prices for room though. Luckily plenty of ice water dispensers around to fill your own containers. Entertainment was good, highlight was piano bar singer taking wishes from the audience and not just singing and playing well but very interactive and quite funny. I was surprised the Eden only had 2 pool areas, and given the number of cruising passengers, the main pool was mostly empty and available for use everytime I went there. Will I do it again?. probably yes.
Worst cruise ever experienced – We arrived back this morning from a 3 night cruise from Adelaide to Kangaroo Island.. we have been on many a cruise and this by far was the worst ! 3 of this on the cruise for my mother’s 80th a wish on her bucket list to experience a cruise ! We booked a suite for 3 people over $1000 per head for 3 nights. Our suite had many thing wrong with it, too many to mention. Staff did attend to issues immediately but just a quick fix.
As other have said food in the Pantry was disgusting, waterfront was just ok but each meal was delivered to our table almost cold ! some pleasant staff but many just not interested or accomodating !
List broke down we we stuck for over 1/2 hour with not much more than a sorry ! I suffered massive anxiety attack and they didn’t give a rats !
I could go on forever but too many issues to list ! Never will we cruise P&O again !
Ripped Off – I forgot to get my winnings from the ships casino . The ships reception office promise me that they will sent me the money within seven. That was on 24 of December 2018. Today 12/01/2019 receive un email from P&O that I have to wait six months for a casino in Maiami to sent me the money. This is a service from a big cruising company .NEVER AGAIN
Where do I start – This cruise is a nightmare and all I want to do is get off. We boarded with no problem and the rooms were reasonable. Staff were friendly. Then came the first nightmare. managed to ruine my appetite for the duration of the cruise I felt sick.Thought ok I’ll just have desert well went to the desert bar and nearly puecked it was terrible the little cakes were so badly baked and presented no street cafe would deemed them fit to serve. I was horrified. I then proceeded Togo to the fire drill. Another nightmare booking diners the lines with people waiting and only 2 attendants. And no help in site. That took forever tried to speak to. Manager. And that was like asking for god to descend. I have never. Come across such poor management in my 52 years on this earth. P&O cruises you got to be kidding. This is unacceptable. A really poor effort. I will never cruise with P& O again period. Could not accept poor attempt in any form. So P&O treats budgets cruisers with disdain anything poor slob is ok.

This coming cruise 21 Mar 2019 is our second cruise with Pacific Eden – I am writing this review, as I was trying to find out about the category that we are booked into and just on our cruise above....and wanted to check the reviews, to see what people said. Eden (we have done many cruises and quite a few now with P&O) and we enjoyed our last cruise (and all of the other cruises) so much that we booked on Pacific Eden again and were very disappointed to see we will be on the last voyage for this ship as it will no longer be sailing, what a pity. We can only say that the ship company and the wonderful staff, made our holiday very special, the reason why we are going again on the same ship on above date. The last cruise we ended up on a Guarantee cabin, we were a bit nervous about not being able to select our cabin, but we were given a wonderful cabin mid ship, so we were so grateful. So we are not feeling so anxious this time about our booking which also ended up being a Guarantee cabin. I have not seen anyone complain about the Guarantee Cabin they had been given, so we are confident we will again be happy on our cruise on the Pacific Eden..We love cruising very much. It is the way to have a beautiful holiday. My husband and I are very excited about our next cruise to South East Asia. We will certainly......enjoy the last voyage on this lovely ship, before it finishes up. Happy cruising everyone, we honestly cannot find anything to complain about on our cruises with P&O, we love them. Update: Well we went on above cruise and it was last voyage on Pacific Eden. Well in every way we were very disappointed with the cruise. We shall not travel on P&O again sorry to say.. the standard has changed we certainly felt the difference compared to all P&O cruises we have been on...We did not even receive a feedback email so we could give our opinion of the cruise. There is no more to say. It has put me off cruising for a while.
Worst Cruise Company – I booked in a 3 night comedy cruise for my bucks party involving 14 people. That's a total of $6,062 just for the booking. Our cruise was delayed by half a day which we all took time off work and costed us money. They could not compensate us not even $10 on board credit for inconveniencing us. They are the biggest tight butt company and we will NEVER be purchasing from P&O cruises every again!
Poor organisation in ports – Pacific Eden is clean, cabins and comfortable. Dining rooms are very good, service a little haphazard. Everything is extra - a hard sell for a ladies pamper etc. Port access via tender was frustratingly slow, e.g. an eight hour port stop was hampered by a 2-1/2 hour wait in the dark theatre with no information provided regarding the wait,… Read more
and a long wait to return to the ship.
The crews operating the tenders appeared inexperienced and poorly trained. I had no confidence in their ability to manoeuvre the tenders and their rope skills were poor.
Two different snorkling tours booked on the same day were cancelled, with various excuses, and yet another snorkeling tour became available.
Entertainment was frustrating. Programming of various bands had no consistency. I would have enjoyed seeing more of The Pacific Quartet for at a regular time.
Shows - On several occasions, one show only at 7 pm - not repeated. Meals in restaurants booked for 7 pm negated opportunity for a show.
Children on board. The back deck swimming area was reportedly for adults only, however, on several occasions many children were using this pool unsupervised.
Worst Cruise Experience – This would have to have been the worst cruise I have ever been on! The food was disgusting, no effort was made what so ever for my son who has allergies, and when I would question what was in the food, I was told to stand to the side so that other passengers could be served. I experienced this in the Waterfront dining room as well as The Pantry.… Read more
The room was dirty, with other peoples hair on the floor and in that bathroom. No basketballs, to be able to use facilities, board games were so well "used" half the pieces were missing. We had to find something to do when we were not able to tender at Mooloolaba... and although 'extra' activities were put on, this is when we found no complete games.
We found the staff to be dismissive, not helpful what so ever and I would even go and say some where rude.
I will never recommend P&O Cruises to anyone, and I now see why you have such a bad reputation and 2 stars as reviews!!

Or any other p& o boat to anybody it is filthy and not well maintained spent over 5 grand to get scabies damn Fabulous!
Food in the restaurants – Accommodation and amenities were ok and boarding and disembarkment was good but the food was very ordinary in the 3 restaurants we tried. at breakfast. You could wait 15 minutes for a piece of toast. Tea coffee was service at random times.
We had raw salmon served, burnt venner schnitzel served and everyone sent that back in waterfront.
Bare wooden scratched tables were the norm for dinner. No tablecloths in the restaurant.
The Dragon lady was only worth one visit angelos had very poor service but ok food.
Don't go on the pacific eden if you expect good food and good service. Safety on boarding tenders was hit and miss. Wheelchair guests were told they should be able to fold the chair unassisted and then proceed down steep steps. Possibly with arm chair under their arm.
Couldn't Fault It – Well reading soem of these reviews below I wonder if we were on the same boat - did these people set their expectations too high ? Are they hard to please ? crew member they were all very pleasant and helpful . Our room was great - bigger than we expected , beds were comfortable , we were on level 5 and although we were near the lifts and laundromat it was very quiet we never heard any outside noise at all . Our room attendant was very polite , friendly and helpful too.
The food was wonderful , we ate mostly in the Waterfront and the food was of a very high quality - no complaints from us - one day yeah it was lukewarm but who cares , not worth getting upset over , the Pantry was good - Angelos was very nice , and all the little bar rooms were nicely appointed and provided a nice break . Plenty of space to relax - the entertainment was great from Trivia to golf putting to stage shows - all help pass the time and have a bit of fun - the entertainment crew are top notch and very amusing .
I saw two unpleasant experiences on board and i can't for the life of me understand why passengers carry on like that - one guy in about his 60s was going off loudly at the Pantry staff because the Pork Crackling ( of all things ) had run out and another lady of similar age was yelling at the Restaurant host because she couldn't get a booking for that night at Dragon Lady - Why ? I don't understand people - why do they feel the need to abuse the poor staff whoa re doing a fantastic job. - relax and you will enjoy the experience more .
P & O certainly exceeded my expectations and the Pacific Eden was a lovely friendly boat with unbelievably good staff and levels of service - and yes it is most certainly family friendly which contradicts a lot of peoples view of P & O .
My only complaint ! Why is the Pacific Eden being sold ? I would love to do another trip on it.
An OK first cruise but not all smooth sailing !!!! – We got off the Eden this morning in Sydney. It was our first ever cruise. We did enjoy parts of it, but it wasn't all smooth sailing. try this shortvcruise to see what we thought. We wanted one for a week, but P and O only allow so many kids on cruises and the longer ones were all full. This one was also on the Internet, but I called them and someone had cancelled. We were grateful for this and took the spot. We were quoted a higher fare than on the website, but they adjusted it after I asked why.
Things started highlighting small signs of disjointedness from here. We had to travel a long distance to meet the ship and my wife forgot the printed eticket. She had it on her phone but panicked and called customer service to see if it would be a problem in Sydney. They said it would be and a printout was a requirement of boarding. She asked if they could do it for us there and were told they couldn't. We got our other transport provider to do this for us with no problems. In Sydney, checkin was fine but slow. A girl took away my credit card to link it to my cruise card so we could buy things if we needed. But on the trip, merchants refused us saying we had no linked card.
We arrived late to the evac drill and didn't put our jackets on, but no one seemed to mind.
Night 1 and 2 had rough seas. My wife and I were quite ill, but we were able to sign for some travel sickness pills on night 1 and the illness went away. A lot of people got sick and we helped 1 girl who was getting married with a massage and some help understanding her medication as I have medical training.
Our kids were unaffected.
B for Bargain, means Bogan and they were everywhere. Probably between 30 to 45 percent, but thankfully, they didn't seem to realise that they could eat in the Waterfront Restaurant as an inclusion in their fare. I must say though, that they were reasonsbly well behaved, except on night 1 and the last night where lots of them seemed pretty tanked up. Sometimes they were smoking in non-authorised places and no-one seemed to police this. I realise it can be hard to reason with someone whose entire culinary vocabulary stems around "Hey moiyt! Where' s the sweet and sour sauce for moy chicken nuggets?", but I think they need to keep them in slightly better check.
We were told that we could try to let our son meet the Captain by a room steward, but when we approached the reception desk, they said itvwas too hard and they didn't want to bother the bridge. We didn't think that was very good. Also, when we enquired about another cruise, we were simply handed a book. We just thought the entire public relations department was a bit disengaged.
Our room was nice, but there is nowhere to put a medium sized suitcase. I tipped the steward to take out the desk chair and put it under the desk. It didn't fit inside the cupboard or under the bed. We found the room comfortable, but there was dust in the AC vent and some weird black stuff ontop of the thermastat switches. Also, the backing off one tap was missing and so there was a small hole in the bathroom wall. Our tv had no picture and we couldn't watch tv or dvds. We know we could ' ve probably gotten a replacement, but we didn't want some tradie in our room mid-trip. This stuff should've been done before.
Our room stewards were nice, but when it came to disembarkation, they boarded on being rude, knocking on the door at 8.01 am, telling us we had to vacate by 8am. We knew they had alot to do, but we only took a few extra minutes with the kids, and it wasn't as though they didn't have other rooms to go to. They knocked again just a few minutes later. We kind of felt we'd been half chased out.
We weren't told we needed to book transfers onboard, as the boat came in at Whitebay. We ended up carching a couple of ferries and a train to get to our joining transport, as the bus driver said he could only take a set number.
The dome toilets have some scratched graffiti and the exit door was heavy and hit me in the shoulder. We didn't like that you had to buy drinks packages for the whole duration of the cruise, as it was bedtime on night 1 when we even thought about it. The soft drinks clme out lf cans and are often flat as they leave a half open one ready for the next glass ordered.
The best part of this cruise were the catering staff I think. At all times polite, and professional, in all of the eateries. The real standout though was the Waterfront Restaurant. Edwin (I think he was the manager) was funny, polite, professional and led his team with calmness and respect. A real stand-out guy! The food was very, verjy good there, and good in the Pantry.
Overall, we rated the cruise a 3 out of 5.
Reception Staff and PR 2/5
Comedians and Activities 3.5/5
Catering Staff 5/5
Stewards 2.5/5
Ship Facilities 3/5
Functional Spaces 4/5
Food in Pantry 3/5
Food at Waterfront 4.2/5 (often mysteriously only luke-warm)
Stability of Ship 2.5/5
Cleanliness of Ship 4/5
Company Function 2/5
Would we do this again? Maybe, but probably on a bigger more upmarket cruise. Would we take this ship again? Possibly not. They just didn't seem to have it all together. It was still fun though.
Great crew – This was our first cruise. The crew on the Eden were fantastic. Nothing was too much for them. The shows were great on board. There were some downsides. restaurants. The food in the restaurants was luke warm and never hot. I heard other people saying this was not their experience on other cruises.
The other negative was while sitting in the movie theatre a 20 to 30 year old Chinese man came and sat besides my wife and I despite there being 100 spare seats. Shortly afterwards he began playing with my leg/knee with the guise of seeking my advice on the time. I know this could happen anywhere but it was very unsettling.
The cabin itself was clean but the bathroom is showing signs of wear.

Elvis Cruise – I will congratulate some of the support and transport staff, on how they managed the difficult task of moving passages round the city. health issues.. Once on board we had many more issues ranging from a broken bed, broken coffee machine, block toilet, room service fail to bring hot water (the water was just warm if that). Breakfast in-room service the next morning was a very disappointment, we are still waiting for the coffee to arrive, we had to call them several time as we didn't also received the butter and jams we ordered for the croissants. But we should not have bother as the croissants was so hard l was able to stand a knife up in one of them. After complaining to the house staff / supervisor / requesting to see the manager to no prevail, we were forced to takes these issues to the higher staff member.. I will say a big thank you to [name removed] on the desk. Absolute Rubbish – Dirty bathroom, yellow sheets and towels, smelly and that’s just for starters. Most facilities closed. Only one dining option. Too many cues, rubbish food. Pacific crap. Feel completely ripped off. Floating nursing home.

Best cruise so far!!! – Grow up, be brave and try P&O for yourselves, don't believe the negative reviews at all, seriously. I have to admit I used to be one of those people who believed those reviews.… Read more
I will never ever again believe them.
I never thought I would go on a P&O cruise as I thought they were more geared at the "young/single/drunk/looking for lust" type of clientele and after reading the reviews I was very skeptical to try. Friends of ours, who have only ever cruised Princess by the way, tried the 4 night cruise from Melbourne to Eden and back again just a few weeks ago and had nothing but good reviews about it. They were very impressed and convinced us to try the 4 night cruise from Melbourne to Kangaroo Island and back again arriving home on Saturday.
The deciding factor for me to also try a P&O cruise was from someone who has tried another cruise line and told me that they were impressed. I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart that we were so impressed by the whole experience. We have also been on Carnival which we thought was good and Princess earlier in the year which I absolutely hated. The crew were so extremely rude and were not nice to deal with at all. Upon returning we found out the reason behind why staff were so "not bothered to deal with passengers" was because the ship has been sold and by 2019 they will have to find alternative jobs. Not a good way to end their final year of working, very sad actually.
Of course there are the positives to a Princess cruise eg. 24 hr food and room service included but seriously if you only go on a cruise for the 24 hr food then you have to re-think why you are going. There are so many other aspects of a cruise apart from food. I can honestly say that the food was much better on the P&O also than the Princess and the fact that they serve you the food, even in the buffet, was so much more hygienic too. The variety of food was amazing. By the way, even if they had just bacon and eggs on offer for breakfast instead of 8 different cuisines (including Asian and Indian) I still wouldn't complain. I would never complain to anyone who wants to cook my food at any time of the day. I cook every day at home so when I have a break from it, I am ever so grateful.
The production shows on the P&O were comparable to the Carnival cruises we have been on. They were absolutely fantastic. The costumes and shows were amazing, 100% better than Princess I have to honestly say. I also included all this information in my rating to P&O also as we received an email asking for a survey to be completed.
Thank you so much P&O for making our cruise the most memorable one. I am already in the process of booking my next cruise for November this year. Can't wait.
I love the Eden. But have been I'll for over a week since disembarking – I am curious, if any fellow cruislings got a flu like virus from the recent food and wine cruise on the Eden? When I got to my suite, the toilet hadn't been cleaned from previous passengers. I didn't make a complaint as I know how hard the staff work. And it was probably an oversight. But I have been severely ill for over a week. My sister was… Read more
hospitalised and quarantined about 4 months ago. With the same virus, after being on the eden. Which makes me wonder. Is there something being skipped in the hygiene practices when cleaning. Or perhaps something in the airflow system. I truly love the Eden, its staff and crew. I just want to inform the company. So it can be reviewed. I sail again in June. And am looking forward to it.
Pacific hell – Have been on many cruises and this one was bad. 9 days adelaide tassue adelaide. The ship is old cabin tired and in need of refit. The bathroom accessories for shampoo etc impossible to dispense. I was travelling with my mother who caught some bug and was sick for 4 days. Would have got off in Hobart if there was a direct flight home. Found the… Read more
food mediocre in all the restaurants we tried. The fancy salt restaurant with a whopping 50 dollar cover charge took 3and a half hours to get out of there. The food was slow and cold by the time it finally came and underwellming.
I found the wine really overpriced and although I tried every cocktail could not find one done well. I know they slug you on cruises and although our lead in price was cheap the extras were not. i don’t mind paying, if it’s worth it but in general I felt ripped off.
Having to buy a decent coffee is annoying.
In case you all feel I am a total whinger I asked many people how their cruse was going and found they were having a similarly bad experience.
All seasoned cruisers who could not recommend p and o cruises.
I know I will never use this cruise line again, never recommend it to others. Try Holland America,Azammara,Crystal or Celebity,Princess line. It’s may seem more expensive but the extras are cheaper and the experience so much richer!
Pacific eden? My advise don’t do it!!
Cheap in price and quality – The booking process was through cruisesalefinder and I found them initially to be easy to communicate with. However when we encountered hurdles and needed to alter things they would not budge on changes. We booked for a total of $500pp and then within less than a 24hr period the price dropped to $350 when we discussed with them the new price and… Read more
that we had sailed multiple times they would not provide any credit nor change the booking.
We were not given clear information either on how to access the online booking system and when we went to put in the check in time there was only a time slot of 2pm. This meant that we arrive late, miss out on lunch and most likely will miss out on restaurant bookings (which has happened in past P&O experiences. When I tried to escalate this problem nothing was resolved. I explained that I had a medical condition (which is not listed in their generic online list) and that arriving early with the potential to board the ship early would not be good for my disability. They did not offer a solution instead told me that there were only late check in times left.
Satisfied with the accommodation. But I have always found food a struggle with my food intolerances not being accommodated for in the main food area. When it comes to restaurant bookings you do not even get a look in unless you book in very early. Good luck being on the cancellation list for the restaurants - there is never an opening!
Not satisfied with dining on board not experience with P&O, unlikely going to choose to sail with them again.
Awful customer service – I had started booking 4 rooms online for a cruise in October, it wouldn't let me book it, so I had to call up to book, which is fine. I spoke to a guy on the phone who was really nice and really helpful, told me the final price was $1148.93 pp. He sent me the confirmations for all four rooms, and I realised that rooms had a little under $1500 pp.… Read more
I also had realised that everyone had $50 onboard credit, where me and my partner had $100 each? I called back up to ask what was the go, the guy was absolutely awful on the phone. I told him the situation and he said "where did you get $1148.93 from?" I had told him I had gotten it from the website, he then said I was wrong, and he was taking off everyone's onboard credit because it was a mistake?? Even though the onboard credit comes with the room? As the terms and conditions say. I asked if I made and online booking whilst I'm speaking to him, he will be able to see both bookings, and how they are both the same room, he said "sure, but I know you will be wrong". I ended up quickly making the online booking, and it was exactly $1148.93 with $100 onboard credit pp... he took the reservation number, then looked at it, and hung up on me? I called back to cancel on all rooms I had booked, they said sure no problem, but they still haven't been cancelled. My friends and I looked at our bookings, and they all say it's all been paid for? I called back to ask if it was a system error or? I was waiting for about 20 minutes, when someone answers "sorry we're closing now, you'll have to call back tomorrow".
I just wish I remember the name of the guy I had spoke to.
Entertainment crew were fantastic!!!! – The whole of 2 back-to-back cruises, spanning PNG, Soloman Islands, Hamilton Island and Sydney were wonderful. It was the entertainment crew who made our cruise so memorable. We had fun onboard every day! Surely they do get tired some time? NOT this lot! Their infectious smiles and attitudes on our cruises Oct 24th 2016 to Nov 6th 2016 ensured we will book again. Thank you all
Top Cruise To Tasmania – Did a 6 night cruise from Sydney to Tasmania return on Dec 1 2017. It was a very enjoyable cruise. We are not new to cruising so we could compare and it was as nice if not better than the previous 3 we had done. Staff were great, entertainment good (apart from some shows that we saw on previous cruises). In general the bars and lounges were ok.… Read more
Food was good in all restaurants although things could be a bit bland in the pantry. Also some food was not keep warm enough in the pantry.
Best part was the fantastic crew, thank you to them.
