Paint My Pooch

I purchased 6 different watercolour portraits. I changed the splash background colour for each portrait. The process was easy and smooth. The team was great when 2 of the portraits I didn't love and wanted to use a different picture of my pet. I always heard back from them within a few days and delivery was fairly quick once I had confirmed the final product. I would highly recommend!

My husband and I purchased this for my father in law as a Christmas present. He was absolutely blown away when he opened it Christmas morning and saw his beloved dog, Harry, in a framed picture. Harry sadly passed away last year so gifting him this beautiful and so very accurate picture was very special.

I recently had portraits done of two pets who are incredibly special to me and I miss more than anything. I sent in a few photos of each pet for the artists to work with, and the portraits they created are gorgeous. They captured my baby boy Snowman and baby girl Ruby SO well. the blanket was better than i could have even imagined 10/10.

This is a gift that the recipient has not yet seen. However I am very happy with the final product, as I have been with previous orders. Because it is a gift, it hasn’t been unwrapped from the bubble wrap which is obvious in the photo.

I ordered a portrait from Paint My Pooch, expecting it to match the proof I approved. However, they cut off the name tag on my pet portrait—an important detail—without any indication that this could happen. When I reached out, they said this was due to a "normal bleed for the frame portraits," even though there were no bleed marks on the proof,… Read more

and the final print did not match what I had approved.

Their website claims, “If you are not 100% satisfied with your order, we’ll do our best to make it right!”—but that wasn’t my experience. Nowhere in their FAQs or on their site do they mention that parts of the image could be cut off, nowhere does it mention anything about bleeds or printing information, nor did they warn me in advance.

When I contacted customer support, they did not offer a solution but instead asked me to pay another $70 to have it reprinted. I took the issue to the Fair Trading office, where they still did not acknowledge any mistake and maintained that "bleed" should be expected in printing. I understand that bleed is a standard printing practice when it is clearly marked and communicated beforehand—but in this case, it was not.

While the portrait itself looks nice, the lack of transparency, unwillingness to resolve issues, and poor customer service mean I would personally not order from them again.

From ordering our print, to final delivery, our communications and interactions were very professional, and it was obvious that the Paint My Pooch team wanted us to have the best work possible. This was our 2nd time ordering, and both of our prints are such a true reflection of our beloved pets, and their personalities and expressions have been captured perfectly. We love our prints so much, and can't thank Paint My Pooch enough.
