1 Todd Gretton  · We bought this top of the line microwave and after only 2 years it's dead. The repairer said it's an inverter issue and not worth fixing.
2 Geoff M  · Display too dim – Can’t read the display seems to be no way to make it brighter. We have natural light in our room. Taking the microwave back.
1 Tammy B.  · Poor quality – Loved initially for the flatbed but not even 3yrs old and takes 4mins to heat a hot chocolate. Most microwaves I've had have lasted 10+ years.
2 missl  · 2.5yrs old a stops working – Noisy and have to slam the door to close. Had cheap ones that have lasted longer
2 Jools  · Heating meals – Two meals to heat, used a stand between the two and the meal on the top of the stand COLD and the one on bottom overly hot What can I do

I bought a Panasonic Flatbed Inverter Microwave few months back. Recently...it cooks unevenly...food boils over and spittls on to tray. Whatever the settings...it is difficult to control. I feel these Microwaves are a DUDD. Not quite designed for reliable use. Beware before you buy....or get frustrated after.. Show details

I made the mistake of replacing our perfectly good Panasonic turntable microwave with this waste of space; I was persuaded by the NEW TECH! flatbed inverter. Yes, I can fit bigger containers in it but that's no advantage when the food doesn't cook properly! I've tried lower power for longer and intermediate food stirring without success. The… Read more

food does not cook evenly. But the unit is capable of reheating a cold cup of coffee after trial and error. The instrument display is difficult and the internal light is useless. I decided to write this review after 12 months of frustration so others might be spared. I used to enjoy making potato salad...

Worst appliance ever. Waiting to save some pension money to buy something else. If only I had read the reviews before buying. The response to negative reviews from Panasonic is to call the service number as if that is going to fix anything. You can’t fix a bad product. As others have said it is slow and dark inside and pretty much useless. Show details

Follow-up  · I believe it is slow because the flatbed does not heat evenly ( my new oven is a turntable which is much more efficient). The light inside is very inefficient as well as the dark glass on the door. The above are reasons it is pretty useless.

Panasonic Flatbed Inverter Microwave (No Turntable) – Control panel with a plethora of options including auto functions for reheating, defrosting, melt and soften, pasta, bread to mention a few Flatbed with no turntable means I can put in a much larger size dish for both cooking and reheating food Easy to wipe clean Only downside is the noise it makes whilst cooling down Show details ·  1

We have difficulty reading the control panel and looking at what is cooking, – The unit works fine but reading the control panel is very difficult because it is black. Likewise looking through the glass door. Seems most Panasonic microwaves are the same but I do not know why they design something like that? Show reply

Follow-up  · The unit works fine, performance is good, it is not too noisy and it is easy to clean inside but is still difficult to read the control panel or see what is cooking.

It's been good since I bought it 4 years ago – It's been good since I bought it 4 years ago. It doesn't have a rotating platter, and evidently doesn't need one. It works just fine. It does have a cooldown cycle, which is a little bit noisy when it finishes cooling, but that's fine. It looks good too. Show details ·  1

Panasonic Microwave – Just purchased a Panasonic inverter Microwave and couldn't be happier with this product. Have looked at many Microwaves and found this one to be the best value for money. It's easy to use and no problems to clean. Show reply

Great Microwave and so much more space – Loved this microwave in the shop when we saw it. It has no plate so it fits so much more in but without a bigger footprint - great technology advancement team !! Heats really well and cools down also which is great. Good value product. Show details

No problems with the microwave, I prefer no turntable making it easy to clean but my big complaint is that the control panel is very badly lit and difficult to read with or without room lighting. Sometimes have to guess the setting. Ten minutes is definitely not ten seconds. The attached photo was taken using a flash. Show details

The worst microwave we have ever purchased. It does not heat evenly and is extremely noisy when cooking and cooling down. The noise is so bad that we often leave the door open after heating to avoid the cool down cycle, so we can hear each other talking.

Very disappointing - doesn’t heat as it should – Don’t let the snazzy turntable-free design fool you. It doesn’t heat food consistently or within food package time guidelines. Support teams test of acceptable parameters is clearly there to ensure no returns under warranty and doesn’t translate into practical use. Very disappointing product - whether by design or manufacture quality. Doesn’t do what it says on the tin.

Read the Reviews Before Buying! – Stupid me for not reading the reviews before purchasing. It does not heat evenly and often the centre of the food is cold. Also the lighting is inadequate. The cooling function is completely unnecessary especially when "cooling" food that is not even hot. Fortunately I kept my old microwave and have reinstalled it. Show details

Bad design, only got four years out of it – An expensive microwave that didn't go the distance. We had a third-hand Sharp for 7 years before this and only upgraded because we re-did the kitchen and wanted something luxurious to go with it. The door button mechanism was it's down fall. It was always hard to close from the start, you had to practically slam the door for it to shut. By about… Read more

the 3rd year I closed the door, pressed start and the timer started counting down but the machine didn't run. I found that re-slamming the door just right would bring the connection back, eventually though this work around started to lose its effect until one day it stopped altogether, nothing would work at all. I liked the turnless table, it seemed to work well cooking-wise but I won't be getting another Panasonic.

"Disappointing Performance – A Huge Let-down from Panasonic" – This is easily the worst appliance I've ever purchased. I recently compared it side-by-side with my old Sharp microwave by boiling a glass of water. The Sharp took just 1.5 minutes, while the new Panasonic took a staggering 4 minutes. The light inside is so dim that it’s nearly impossible to see what's happening while it's cooking and the fan is… Read more

very noisy. For a model that wasn’t exactly cheap, the design is its only redeeming feature—it does look nice. It also lacks simple features, like the ability to press 'start' and have it cook for one minute, as my old Sharp did, for easy, one-touch use. If I could do it all over again, I would steer clear of this microwave. This experience has really made me question Panasonic as a flagship brand.

Disappointed – Well very underwhelming to say the least. Doesn't seem to heat food through properly, one section will be piping hot, another still cold. Flatbed seemed like a great idea but give me a rotating microwave any day. The only positive is that it's relatively easy to clean. Show details

Terrible – Terrible product from Panasonic. The moment I started using it, I hated it. The interior light is so dim it may as well not be there. After around 30 to 40 seconds or so a loud tinny vibration could be heard, most likely the result of the fan causing the panels to vibrate or a loose mount. When not in use, there was a distinct high-pitched noise… Read more

Would not touch this model – Heating takes much longer than another other microwave due to flatbed , it is very noisy and has a cool down cycle at end which is confusing as it sounds like microwave is still cooking. and requires a firm pressure to close so consequently breaks easy. Our model only lasted 2yrs in our beach house with very minimum use.i have noticed in stores they add grease to inside mechanism of this model so it feels lighter and easy to close door. This has made me more convinced the stores know there is a problem with door mechanism.

Disappointing Heating Performance – My experience with the Panasonic inverter microwave has been highly unsatisfactory. I would like to share my review regarding its performance, specifically its heating capabilities. First and foremost, it is disheartening to note that this microwave takes double the time compared to conventional microwaves to heat food. I had high expectations… Read more

from a brand like Panasonic, but this particular model failed to deliver on its promises. It is incredibly frustrating when you're in a rush or hungry, and you find yourself waiting for an extended period for your food to heat up.

Furthermore, the inconsistent heating patterns have been a significant concern. While some parts of the food end up piping hot, other areas remain disappointingly cold. This lack of uniformity in heating creates an unpleasant eating experience, as you are left with a dish that is not evenly warmed throughout.

In addition to the prolonged heating time and inconsistent results, I have also noticed that this microwave tends to overheat certain types of food. This not only affects the taste and texture of the food but also raises concerns about the safety of using the appliance.

Considering the cost of this Panasonic inverter microwave, one would expect a much higher level of performance and efficiency. Unfortunately, it falls short in both areas, leaving me thoroughly dissatisfied with my purchase.

Okay microwave, but can't see what's cooking – My main problem with this microwave is that even though it has an internal light that is on while cooking, you can't actually see in side because it's too dark. Can't see if something is over-boiling etc. Seems like poor design to me. Wanting to see inside, am I expecting too much? I contacted Panasonic and here is their explanation "There is… Read more

no issue with the light inside the microwave. It is operating as intended. The light is there as a cosmetic design and it purpose is to let you know there is something inside of the microwave. It is an LED light without a diffuser. This means that the light from the LED will shine more in one direction. "

Stopped working after a year – I wanted to love this microwave. The flatbed design with no internal plate is fantastic. BUT It is very noisy and rattles. Worst of all is it stopped working right after it was out of its very short 1 year warranty. The issue is something to do with the door hinge. It needs to be knocked back into place to work. This is very annoying. This is not unique to ours as we have the same one at work with exactly the same issue. Won't buy again. Show details

Great microwave – Its been going strong for 7 years now. So easy to clean with flatbed design. Happy with the controls - very intuitive compared to a lot of other microwaves I've used. Door latches have always been a bit stiff, bit of silicone lube now and then helps. Nice looking, clean lines and easy to keep clean. Show details ·  1

Didn't expect that to happen!! – The microwave performs ok in my opinion and the flat bed is a good idea easy to clean. The unit is noisy though, and the inverter has a bit of a cool down after it is used more noise after you've removed your food. With the exception of the massive burn it developed in the door and side of the frame. For reasons unknown, happened only a couple… Read more

months from coming out of the box it has worked without any hassle not sure of the safety of the item with the damage it has but we are still using it. I've looked at other reviews it seems this model is bit of a dud. I believe the fault/ issue with the unit maybe known to plague this model as to how it occurred I am not sure, but I want others to know what they mite be in for. (Questionable quality) Not something you'd expect from a name brand such as Panasonic expect a quality product. The quality of the microwave seems good otherwise other than what has happened. I know these units are not cheap so you'd expect that kind of thing not to happen especially when it is brand new. Panasonic requested I reach out even if I did I don't have the invoice so they they get away from honouring any kind of warranty by default, lucky for them I sure there are a few claims in on this model. In closing I'd have a careful think before choosing this particular model and possibly choose more wisely. I don't think I will be getting another one unless it's free.

POOR LIGHTING – If I had the chance to to buy a Micro wave again, it would not be this model very hard to see the levels of settings and the light in the oven is non exist. so frustrating. Not worth the money – I wish I had read any of these reviews available before buying ours. It has been a dud from the start. It heats food unevenly, and takes much longer than previous ovens we've had. It's very moist inside after use, very noisy, and has to 'cool down' after every use (more noise), and now 3.5 years after buying it, it has stopped working which will cost more to repair than purchasing a new oven. Show details
