Doesn't warm very well – Before I rip the device a new one, it is actually pretty good at cooling, in the summer time. But in the winter, it's absolutely hopeless at heating. We have tried every possible combination of auto/heat and various fan modes and speeds and remain disappointed. You see, the device starts out well, and if we set the thermostat to 24, it will head the room up to 22 but then it just idles down and the temperature in the room continues to drop and drop and drop until it gets to around 19. It just can't maintain the temperature. What is really weird is that if I turn one of the bedroom units on (same compressor) while it does this, the lounge unit wakes back up and heats again. So it's not a capacity thing.

While on the topic, the bedroom units we have are CS-MRE7QKR and they are perfect for heating and cooling. Set a temp and it just works.

Perhaps there is something wrong with ours but when I contacted Panasonic, I got a pretty poor response from them which really sealed teh deal.

If I were putting in AC I'd go MHI. Panasonic customer service blows.

Great - Panasonic Multi Head Unit – Purchased the Panasonic Multi Head Unit (6.8) with Panasonic CS-MRE9QKR (2.5kw) for bedroom and Panasonic CS-MRE18QKR (5kw) for lounge/dining/kitchen area. I live in a townhouse and the multi head can do up to four rooms so I can add on two extra indoor units later down the track. The large 5kw runs all downstairs of my townhouse and the other I use in my main bedroom. I didn't want multi outside units as being in a complex in doesn't look good when I go out to my courtyard and see multi units. This was I only have the one outdoor unit and it is great visually. I did a lot of research and the Panasonic is quiet and rated highly in comparison with the other brands on the market that do multi heads. This is an exceptional air conditioner and suits my needs and anyone else that is looking for a multi head.
