I arrived at 7am to leave my car for a warranty related issue that was already discussed with the Suzuki customer care who booked the service for me but on arrival parramatta motor group mechanic told me that I have to pay $350 and it shocked me as I thought it is already established that I am there for warranty work What is the point of warranty… Read more

Disappointing Experience – I recently had a highly disappointing experience with Parramatta Motor Group Service. When I took my car in for a service, they recommended a number of unnecessary repairs, clearly aiming to inflate the bill and hit their KPIs. The estimate given to me was a staggering $1200, excluding the two tyres. Taking matters into my own hands, I managed to… Read more

get the two tyres and half of the recommended work done elsewhere for under $700. The other half of their recommendations were deemed unnecessary by a trusted mechanic.

It's evident that Parramatta Motor Group Service prioritises profit over genuine customer care and honest service. I expected a trustworthy evaluation of my car's needs, not an attempt to take advantage of me. I will not be returning and strongly advise others to seek more reliable and honest service providers.

They lied about a warranty claim – I have taken my car to PMG only once for a service and warranty claim, and although they did a good job on my car, the customer service was terrible. I had made it very clear multiple times of my expectations for a warranty claim, though discovered after the job was complete and paid for that they had charged me for the warranty fix. They refused… Read more

to refund the money, so I had to escalate it to Holden customer care who looked after it for me and provided the refund. The PMG staff lied to me, which is totally unacceptable. I recommend that you go to another service centre to get your car serviced.

Wish I could give negative stars! – Went there for issue with my steering wheel with knocking sound on rotation. I was asked to pay around 4k for a damaged part to fix the issue even though the vehicle is still under warranty as the reason they gave was the damage was due to heavy impact which they concluded based on the alloy wheel scrapes. In fact, there was no heavy impact and… Read more

the noise was there even before the scrapes happened but they were not willing to accept it.

Anyways, I went ahead with the repair to fix the noise as they scared me that the steering may fail if left as it is. However, the knocking sound was still there even after the repair. I was then told that it is normal for all vehicles to have that steering noise when indicator lights are turned on when turning which is pretty much all the time. So after spending 4k, the vehicle was behaving the same as before the repair. Their point was that there was another issue with the steering assembly that I was not aware of that was also causing the knocking sound which they fixed. So basically I have to trust them that they fixed an issue that I was not made aware of but that trust was not there from them when I said there was no heavy impact and cover the damage under warranty.

But this is not why I am writing this review. It is due to the rude behaviour of the staff when I went back with the issue. I had to wait for someone to attend as they seemed to be busy though there were no customers but the moment I reported the issue, I was surrounded by three staffs each arguing with me that I was incorrect. They were aggressive and not allowing me to speak and when I spoke one of them went away accusing me of interrupting her and not allowing her to speak. Another one accused me of 'lying' and went away as I was still talking leaving me unattended. I then had to wait and the 3rd person came who was surprisingly nice and he at least tried to explain politely which is basically all I expected even though I am not happy with the repair and the cost of it. This is not the only instance they were rude. I visited them multiple times for this repair and I encountered arrogant behaviour specifically with one of the staff. I have been going there for around 8 years now and this is first time I faced this and it will be the last as well.

Never going there again.

Great service and communication – Parramatta Group have been great to deal with buying my new Kia. Kevin Abood has looked after me well, keeping me up to date along the way and is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend Parramatta Motor Group for their quality customer service and the best part was the pricing was great too! Highly recommend.

Very bad and irresponsible service – I would never recommend this repairer. We brought our car to do regular service. The car was fine before the service. During the service, they gave us a quote to change some of the major parts of the car. We realized later the charge was very overpriced. for example , one of the part is $100 market price, they charged us $ 700 ! The total charge… Read more

for the service and the parts was over $3000 . Our car was not properly serviced and more problems were created. Not long after the service , the car caught on fire while driving. I always use fuel 95, which should not be a problem.

I asked them to fix my car and they told me they would charge me a diagnosis fee of $280 , even they just changed some parts a month ago, they are not under warranty!!!! What a profitable business they are running. I have reported this to fair trading ! Never use this repairer.

Great service, efficient, friendly staff, communicative – I’ve been going for a while. Service is great friendly and communicative. It’s easy and efficient… you drive your car into their driveway leave it, you even get a video of them talking through what they have done whilst waiting. Yeah takes a few hours but this is standard I think. They then text and call to check you are happy. The only negative… Read more

is I wish they would update my map, it is pricey at $400 and would have been additional $130 for genuine windscreens and if they can speak clearer in the video! Also I always tell them to call me before replacing stuff like windscreens. They still do the suggestive selling recommendations but they are just doing what customer service people do. I would be annoyed if they went ahead and did it without asking me which is what happened somewhere else!

The company does not take ownership or responsibility for anything – I am used to servicing my car at the dealers outlet from where I purchased most of the time. 1) I purchased a new KIA cerato GT in 2019 from the get go I was having issues. 1 Week before the delivery I was told by the Sales guy at Parramatta Motors that I have a problem with the ECU so the delivery date is going to be delayed. When I heard this… Read more

it was a shocker. I asked the Salesman why am I being sold a broken car ? Was this car not checked for QA ? and several similar questions on the same line. The dealer then changed their version saying that nothing was wrong and they were just doing some final checks before giving the car..

2) Last Year again I started having issues with the Vehicle. This time pretty scary. My car would imagine that there was something in the front and suddenly apply emergency brakes on the road. I took it to the dealer no action was taken. After going several times back and forth finally the Dealer fixed the issue.

3) The latest ongoing issue. My Vehicle gas leaked completely I took it to the Service canter the re-gassed it and gave the car back without fixing it. The Next day I noticed a distinct foul smell in the car of the gas\oil I called the dealer who was again very dismissive. I was then forced to go to an External AC Specialist who showed me that the GAS was leaking and has lost 40% since it was recently filled. I am going to file this with FAIR TRADE for both parties KIA Australia and Parramatta Motors

They do however have a twisted sense of humour I was told when I came to pick my car the second time that I must have probably forgotten to press the AC Button for a month. When I enquired about the smell which was the actual reason why I got the car the second time they told me its bad smell from outside.

Also another FUN FACT if you have a warranty issue there is no Loaner car.

I am attaching the report from the external AC mechanic which shows that the car has lost 40% after it was refilled

I have seen a few replies from KIA below. So before you give me the general [Name Removed] will reach out to you .. I spoke to [Name Removed] when I dropped the car and briefed him of these ongoing issues and asked him to speak to his team and get the issue remediated.

It is very disappointing to see despite repeated attempts made it appears they dont care

Worst Service Possible – I have two cars. I'm used to servicing at dealership recommended outlets. Never in my life I have experienced the level of callous, unprofessional, and down-right rude customer service I experienced at Parramatta Motor Group. I used to take my car there once a year for routine service, and from the get-go something felt off about the facility. It… Read more

is unwelcoming. You can hardly find a place to park. You'll be lucky to be greeted by the service staff or anyone for that matter. For over 4 years, I have visited them perhaps 5 times. Every single time, I dread going there because the wait times are ridiculously long. No matter when you book your service time-slot, no matter how early you take your car there, they expect you to collect it at close of business. It is first come, first serve. This renders the whole idea of booking pointless.

Things really got out of hand, when I pointed out to an issue that should still be covered under warranty. Initially they completely disregarded my concerns and proceeded with the normal service. When settling the bill, I reminded the young lady that they had not looked into the warranty issue I raised. She paused for a second, then said "Oh, we don't have the necessary part. We'll order it for you".

FIVE months later I get a phone call from them saying the part has arrived. I was then asked to bring the vehicle on a nominated day. No time was confirmed, which made me assume its a quick job. No notification was sent prior to the day, no email, no text, no reminder whatsoever for the appointment. Lucky I marked the day on my calendar. So I take the car there, taking time off from work, and lo and behold I have to come back and pick the car at the end of the day. When I confronted them about their timing and their lack of communication prior to the appointment, I was simply told that its a first come, first serve policy. That was the final straw.

I have since switched to a different authorized service center, and I am pleased to say the experience has been the complete opposite. I am treated with respect, they are mindful of time, they honor appointment time-slots, and they simply have better facilities. The same repair I mentioned above took 45 minutes. The part that took FIVE months to arrive at Parramatta Motor Group, turned out to be a very common part, and was ready and available at the new service center.

In conclusion, where the world has moved on to adopt to more customer-centric business models, Parramatta Motor Group is still stuck in an ugly past. They treat their customers like they own them. Like the customers should feel honored PMG is servicing their car. They are an out-dated, unprofessional, untrustworthy, disorganized, and arrogant lot. Avoid at all cost.

Can't rate my experience high enough – 2016 Ranger steering wheel developing slight freeplay, as if steering wheel hub to steering column bolt working loose. Attended Jackson's Ford, Devonport, Tas. fix, and just required 5 minutes assistance to remove wheel. Basically fobbed off with no assistance. With steering wheel freeplay slowly getting worse, dropped into Thomson Ford, Parramatta, NSW. Directed to Parramatta Motor Group to which I then proceeded, totally unannounced. Explained my situation to Service Advisor whom immediately sourced a Service Technician to look at my vehicle. I only asked for someone to disengage the air bag clips, so I could tighten the bolt myself. The technician however proceeded to effect the complete job over the course of 20 minutes. On conferring with the original Service Advisor to pay a potential bill, I was told all was good, no fee owing and to have a fun and safe holiday travelling. For this business to pull a technician from another job to sort my issue on the spur of the moment, was totally unexpected, but absolutely appreciated, to which I cannot praise them enough, especially after two other Ford dealerships happily left me hanging. Well done Parramatta Motor Group, if I lived in Sydney you would have my servicing business. Full credits!!

Service Experience – Dropped my car in at 830am for regular service. 3pm I was Called and informed an oil cap was fused to the sump, they asked me if I had glued it or new anything about it. car back. first 2 days I called for an update, Still not ready, waiting for parts. I had to almost beg for a loan car for next 3 days as I couldn't get to work without It. last 3 days I had almost given up. Nobody made any effort to contact me with updates, Finally calling fed up they tell me it has all been finished and ready for pickup.

Upon pickup I did ask for a discount due to my service taking over a week and being without a car for half of that time. (which maybe I shouldn't have) however told no discounts as they have fitted new parts to my vehicle. Trying to unlock my car, I had been given the wrong keys. Going back in The manager I was speaking to, Rudely asks me to wait on the seats as he is in the middle of something, he made me wait for 20 minutes for something as simple as getting me the right key. (probably because I asked for a discount). Meanwhile he answers phone calls, collects printouts, I understand its a busy time but he could have resolved my issue in 3 seconds and continued with his work.

Finally entering my I now have damage to my centre console, controls to the left of my transmission. (something small but still very noticeable). and No, I Didn't bother to tell them as they would just say it was there before. What's the point.

Just really disappointed with the whole experience.

Appalling service (none) – Hands down the worst car service department I've ever experienced. I’m not blanketing the whole dealership. My review is about the service department. followed up with these guys and informed me that my spare parts had arrived. I booked in the service only to be told the part has not been ordered. I wasted my day trying to fit the service and taking time off work. I was then told they’ll ordered it and let me know when to come in. Four weeks later, I rang back to get an update and again being told the part has not been ordered. These guys are so arrogant, treating their customers with solid contempt. I've left 3-4 messages for them to call me back, which they never did. I have to be the one chasing them up to find out what is happening with my spare part order. This is appalling and coming from a well-respected brand; these people obviously don't seem to care about upholding that respect. You have certainly lost me as a customer and not only that, I will make it known to anyone I cross path with that they should never come anywhere near your service department at Parramatta Motor Group. Happy for someone from your service department to contact me to discuss. You have my number. My issue is with my new Santa Fe Autolink still not working.
