Penrite SIN excells – I changed to Penrite SIN 10W-70 in my E85 race car as the the other synthetic oils trialled were badly affected by the alcohol and water contamination. The SIN seems to shrug off the contaminants and keeps protecting when the others diluted and gave up. 20 laps of racing can see about 0.5-1 litres of water/alcohol/oil in the catch can and there must be even more in the sump but oil pressure stays about 8psi/1000rpm and that is good for engine protection. Other brands dropped to less than 4psi/1000rpm. great lubrication at high rpm and contamination levels,

Basically all you're doing is running a really thick oil & when it shears back it probably becomes a 50 weight still giving you oil pressure still but at the cost of power. Why not use a proper motorsport oil like Motul 300V? You can run a thinner viscosity which will give you more power & as it's made from ester it wont shear.
