We have been on a journey with our beautiful 3yr old Staffyxrottie over the last 6 months as she had injured BOTH her cruciates. She has undergone 2 surgeries and on top of that the dreaded skin conditions her breed is prone to! Pet cover has covered all of the treatment she has had for both conditions (outside our excess and any further… Read more
preventative measures we opted for). Honestly a lifesaver being insured with Pet Cover. Any other company would have only covered max 80% of the costs...
Terrible company – Have had my dog insured with them 9 years but they are now shocking to deal with and expect an hour wait time on hold to speak to someone and no help at all Show details
Avoid Petcover completely – Very expensive for very little return. Petcover make it near impossible for a successful claim. Show details
Highly recommended! – Highly recommended! Petcover Australia has fulfilled their obligations as an insurer... provided the necessary information and the result was a hassle free claim. Communication/Processes are continuously being improved, but overall, I am so glad my Vet recommended these guys. Thank you Show details · 1
Increased the premium 50% for NOT claiming – Had the cover since we got our dog as a puppy. Have never claimed as our dog is so healthy. We get rewarded after 3 years of payments with an increase from $59 a month to $89 a month. What a disgrace! They lost the business and I have gone elsewhere for more cover and less premium Show details

Paper based??? – We took up this policy as it was recommended by friends. Certainly I think they have great policies, however to make claims their system is paper forms only. This makes it really cumbersome and slow in the digital age. It took us 2 months to have a very expensive claim finalised because of a tiny error on a paper form we submitted. With an up to date digital system I doubt it would have been a problem.. Show details

I wouldn’t own a dog without Petcover Insurance! – Very happy with my policy so far. The claim process is a little bit old-school but once verified I was paid immediately. It’s very reassuring knowing your pet is covered. Show details · 1
Clunky but prompt Process – Are found Petcover to be very helpful and prompt. The process for claiming was a bit clunky but we had no issues once our claim was submitted. Payment was processed within the week. Show details · 1
Great cover for exotic pets – Our rabbit is insured with Petcover as the only provider for small mammals and exotic pets. So far we have had a great experience with Petcover and our policy - it has been easy to get in contact them and they have been quick to respond to claims. I would highly recommend them. Fully supported fast response – I have been with Petcover for only 8 weeks. My puppy has been sick twice during this time. My claims have been paid in 7-8 days. Over $8,000 to date. Show details · 1
Will try to exclude your pet unfairly and unethically – Warning those looking for pet insurance stay away from Petplan i.e. Petcover; I recently changed providers to Petcover as they offer an extra liability protection. Little did I know I was about to get a crash course on how insurance companies fraudulently try to get out of covering your pet/s. I was originally given an exclusion on my policy… Read more
for all intestinal parasites, and Gastro-intestinal/digestive system disorders because my puppy was given an intestinal worming tablet as per normal Intestinal worming treatment as Nexgard Spectra treatment does not cover tape worm, this is what the vet recommended.
The reason given for the exclusion was my puppy had worms!! Which she didn’t not this is normal preventative worming as any person that has own a dog or cat already knows.
While waiting for that exclusion removed the petcover underwriting team who knew that exclusion was false and would stick slapped another exclusion on specifically for diarrhea because back in July I took her to the vet for loose stool and mucus. My dog did not have diarrhea and the clinical notes never make any mention of my puppy presenting with that condition!!
The section on the vets notes said “drugs dispense“ 2 of Pro-Kolin Dog/Cat 15ml - Give 3ml twice daily until diarrhoea resolved. I confirmed with the vet that is an AUTOMATIC entry and that my puppy never presented with diarrhea.
Petcover is now using that as an excuse to exclude her for treatment of diarrhea for 12months because they couldn’t make the original false exclusion stick.
What a disgrace. SHAME ON YOU!!

Amazing Customer Service and Fast Claims – Pet cover are not the cheapest insurer on the market but they actually pay out your claims to your bank account and for me it’s always within 24 hours of lodging the claim. The girls in the claims department are located in Australia and are understanding and actually lovely . I highly recommend pet plan /pet cover and have been with them from… Read more · 1
when my breeder registered my Rottweiler boy when I picked him up . I suppose you pay for what you get with insurance and paying more gives me 100% of my bills back and also knowing they will pay out my claims when I lodge them. Thanks Pet Plan :) Kayla & (Vinnie- the Rottweiler )
