Peter Sadler

This is the 4th time I have used Peter Saddler to move house. I keep going back as they have always been professional, prompt and cost competitive. This last occasion was exactly the same. I would be very happy to recommend Saddler to anyone needing to move.

they would use and they continued dealing with me for the interstate move.

After returning from overseas the contents of my home were delivered however I had only 2 days to unpack before flying to another part of Australia to collect and drive my motorhome back home which would take another 6 weeks.

Unfortunately for the 2 days I was at home unpacking I didn't notice there were two Sonos speakers worth over $3000 that had gone missing. Had I noticed I would have raised this immediately.

When I returned and discovered the missing speakers I raised it when. Their response was to check the 'unknown removalists' and of course nothing could be found.

Note: take out insurance to cover any losses as the removalist companies aren't really interested in customer service.

Caused significant damage, now no response – We used Peter Sadler to move our furniture into taxi boxes (a last minute booking) and would not recommend them. When we went to unpack the storage boxes it was clear that things had been packed in a way that would inevitably cause damage i.e. timber shelving had been slid along the gritty floor of the storage box with nothing to protect them. metal rod was placed against our timber bed head in a position that was directly scraping/scratching against it etc. Unsurprisingly, there was significant damage to all the couch shelves, and our bed head.

When I contacted the company, I did not receive a reply for six weeks. After chasing them up I received a brief email telling me that damage to items packed into mobile storage containers would not be covered under any circumstances as per their terms and conditions. I have since tried to discuss this further by phone and email with no response for the past two months.

I would be very careful booking with this company, and if you are using mobile storage boxes I would strongly recommend not using them. The lack of response from the company or any sort of acknowledgement of fault is also upsetting, given the extent of the damage.

knowledgeable in stocking my things in storage. I never encountered such removalist like that. So so strong. Ole carried my dryer by himself which was carried by 2 people when delivered to me and they were struggling with Ole Wowwwww it’s nothing. I’m very pleased moving my things and not to mention in multiple stops too and they were so attentive. I’m really very very happy . On the day of our move, Michael and Lochie arrived on the dot. They were very courteous and professional. Ours was only considered a small move between two furnished 2BR apartments within the same suburb. Moving 20+ boxes and 3 large furnitures was initially estimated to be completed within 2 hours and they didn’t disappoint! They’ve completed it on time and all of our stuff intact! The destination building required a ute to enter and thankfully they brought it for a reasonable fee.

Will definitely be sticking with Peter Sadler for my succeeding moves!

Excellent Experience – We moved our furniture from storage back into our newly renovated Docklands apartment today. From our first contact with Danielle, until our three removal men Ari, Marlo and Scott finished our job, was nothing short of excellent. The customer service and support we received leading up to the move was also wonderful – helping us to make decisions about the booking, planning, packing and logistics. the Miele company mentioned that this is from transport damage and they did not accepted any responsibility.They tell you nice things about their insurance and services but after they have the money will not accept anything.They give you some documents to sign before that you sign and then they have no responsibility.Just be carefull of what you sign with them.I am going to take them to VCAT.

Do not recommend - scam and disgusting lack of customer service after taking your money and damaging your items – The job was completely booked poorly through someone they claim is a "senior staff member", then tried to tell me it was my fault for not giving an accurate description of how many items of furniture needed to be moved. but was not finished until the NEXT DAY. Luckily I had everything in writing (emails) to prove that the booking mistake was THEIR fault, as I had quoted the amount of furniture items correctly.

They also outsource their jobs. Had 3 men come and one of them admitted that they were contractors with Peter Sadler. Came with an extremely private small truck that was NOT from the Peter Sadler company.

Although the men did have blankets to protect the furniture but they were NOT USED leaving my furniture DAMAGED.

I tried to lodge a damage claim with [name removed] - apparently the sole staff member who deals with damage claims. [name removed] failed to reply to 2 of my emails, and I only got a reply after reaching out to another staff member [name removed] to chase him up. [name removed] is very unprofessional.

Tried to put me off my damages claim by telling me they had already 'rebated' me money for the move. But this money was not a rebate, it was a refund because they stuffed up the job. He sent a passive aggressive email saying he would only process my damages claim if I returned the refunded money. Told me to "Reply at my (your) earliest convenience as we wish to close this matter". Then proceeds to ignore my email from august 11th - has been 8 weeks with no reply.

Tried to hide behind the facade of a 'family run business'. That's still a business and it doesn't matter how big or small. You still need to do your job and reply to your customers and fix problems that were cause by your company.

Have proof from dated emails with everything that has happened.

We have utilised Peter Sadler four times and they have always provided a very high level of service regardless of the size of the job. Today, Nard & Dom were excellent. Did the work efficiently and professionally. Thanks boys!

Great professional service – Awesome team to deal with from booking, to the guys turning up on the day to help us move our 1 bed apartment. Really friendly and professional service, with some good banter in the truck!

Professionalism at its best – The removal was from the 2nd floor via stairs and included very heavy Indonesian furniture and other large and quite heavy items to another apartment on the 2nd floor. In conjunction with the packers, the removalist carried out the whole exercise in such a professional manner. The whole exercise was completed in 7 hours in an extremely busy suburb. I would highly recommend Peter Sadler for anyone requiring the removal and transport of furniture.

A tough job – We found this company provided excellent service. The packers just got on with the job making appropriate decisions relevant to the situation. The men doing the heavy lifting and carrying were not only strong but were efficient, cheerful and polite. The narrow spaces and two flights of stairs did not faze them so all in all a good experience in what was a tough day

Excellent service – I have just moved from Daylesford back to Melbourne with Peter Sadler. I have to recommend Guyn and Lochlan who were extremely accomodating , polite , easy to deal with and handled the goods with excellent care. Thank you for making the move so easy and stress less .
