For the first 7 months, the device worked perfectly and I was very pleased with the results. However, recently I have experienced the following issues: • The body attachment overheats after only a few minutes of use, making it impossible to place on my skin. • The device makes an unusual and annoying noise during use. • I no longer see the same good results that I had in the beginning.

This problem is very concerning for both safety and effectiveness.

Could you please advise me: 1. Is this covered under warranty, given that it worked well initially but has now developed a fault? 2. Can the body attachment or the entire device be repaired or replaced? 3. If repair is not possible, can I purchase a compatible replacement attachment?

Bought product in dec and returned it after 2 short treatments...philips kodly replaced it for a brand new one. Today used my new onr and over heated in 20 minutes is this normal?

Thanks for reaching out to us here. While it is normal that the Lumea is warming up when in use, it shouldn't cause much discomfort. Try to start the treatment in more heat-sensitive places such as bikini lines and armpits, while the Lumea is not fully warmed up. As your legs are more resistent to heat, do them at last.

If you're worried that your Lumea is definitely getting too warm, please don't hesitate reaching out to us via the following number: 1300 363 391. If you prefer, you can also reach out to us via Twitter or Facebook (@PhilipsCare).

Kind regards, The Philips Australia Team

I have just purchased. Charged and cannot get it to turn on unless it is connected to the cord. Any suggestions?

Hi there, it's not actually a cordless model!! There's no battery, you will need to plug it in to work, like a hairdryer
