Always use the original charger that came with your shaver, as not all chargers are compatible with all shavers. You can charge your Philips Shaver with a Standard Plug-in charger. RQ 12 replacement head : Never had any problem with the older version with the metal cage holder system. Since the brilliant idea of the orange plastic rings to hold the heads in place I have only trouble. Only one of them stays in place the other 2 fall off all the time. Even buying a new set of rings didn't solve the problem.

What should I do ?

I have been using Phillips products for years but the attitude toward the blades is having me leave and try Braun or Remington. I really like Phillips and I would rather stay a Phillips customer but for me I am going to move on they make it very difficult to do anything other than pay for the expensive plastic.

I have now read on many sites, the newer replacement head SH98 is a perfect fit for this shaver, can you confirm this?

So you are telling me this comment written on a site reviewing the s9000 prestige is incorrect "If you have a Series 9000 already, you can just fit the head section easily, it’s fully compatible with all Series 9000 Philips (just don’t expect them to tell you that"

Ah alright, John, that explains where you're coming from. Older models might indeed use the same SmartClick system as the S9000 Prestige, but the results might not be optimal, as the actual shaving blades have changed along the way. So, technically, you could fit an older 9000 series' shaving head on the new 9000 prestige (and vice versa), but we can't guarantee the same results. We want the smoothest results for everyone, of course, so our advice is to stick with the head that came with the original model. Hope that makes sense. :)

Hi, I'm in the US and can't get intelligent assistance from Philips. I have an1150X. After use one day, I placed it in the charging cradle and ALL the lights flashed for 15 seconds and stopped for 60 seconds and this continued three times that morning. I have had four of these units and the handles seem to fail as the plastic cracks. I have tried another cradle and plug I received from Philips. The power seems to be weakening with each shave. Any idea as to why the lights flashed like that? I now get no lights at all. Thanks in advance. Ron

Hi George. Thank you for your question. Are we correct to assume this symbol is lighting up on the Jet Clean System you put your shaver in? This means that the cleaning fluid has dropped below the minimum level, and so the ‘cleaning chamber empty’ symbol starts to flash and the holder returns to its starting position. Beware! Philips designed most of products no chance to change battery!!! if you check the product there is no lock back to let you remove a battery cover! It works! after 3 or 4 years, no warranty, no spare battery available, no chance for battery change out and you need your shaver everyday. what is the next step? You need your shaver means will force to buy a new machine! I spent $450 only for 4 years!

sorry I have no idea. Just if you can still claim for warranty, do it right now and ask philips to change your machine! philips customer relationship is too poor and just looking for an excuse to reject your claim.

The light showing arrow around the razor head indicates your shaver has timed out for head replacing. This is a built in reminder to tell you its been a year, buy a new head. Generally it is one year, you can reset the shaver with or without buying a new head- reset by holding the power button down for 10 seconds until the warning light goes off- your next reminder will be in about one more year. To save money on a new head, buy a small tube of polishing paste from any auto store cheap, use a flat surface like glass or similar, remove the blades, gently rub in the paste for few mins each, rinse, replace.

I just got the sensotouch 3d 1260, it was running low on battery. I did put it on charge but it isn't charging.

When it switch the main power source on, the three symbol - lock,unit with arrows and exclamation light up one after the other and go off.

It still has a bit of charge left but I am not able to recharge it.

What would be the reason? Please help

Mate, there is something wrong in philips design. I paid $450 and now they do not care about my purchase! if your shaver still in under warranty , call them asap to return or swap it otherwise you are in trouble! philips has no office in Australia and when you call them they are in Singapor! be careful!!!!

I bought the senso touch 3D Rq1251 for my partner Christmas 2015 so just over 2 years old, he used it maximum 3 or 4 times and put it away as he grew a beard, now the beard has gone, he has tried to charge the shaver up, and it has no life in it what so ever, it was boxed away in original packaging in a safe place, but now doesn’t work, can you help?
