Phoenix Tapware

Do not buy this product. The black coating comes off within months of installation. Warranty is only for 12 months. My house is only 18 months old, tap wear is already wrecked.
Avoid. Especially avoid the black range. Even on areas that we hardly use it is bubbling and or peeling. Had a couple replaced and they just do the same thing. Save up and buy something better because you will be out of pocket having to replace them all anyway. Did have good customer service for when they were under warranty though. The fact they… Read more
don’t reset their warranty however once replaced is telling of how they know their products don’t last.

Temu quality, paint peeling within months of a new build, had it replaced a few times during the first year, then put in another claim to which they me its no longer in the 12 months warranty, but tap was replaced, so u would think the warranty would reset as its a new tap. Since then the paint peeling continues and is staining my stone benchtops.… Read more
I dont use chemicals as my child is allergic to them. This is also happening at my parents home as we have the same and built at same time. Will never buy their product and will tell others to stay clear.

Sink mixer poor product – I have all phoenix products in my house but all of them is rubbish. Ist Shower heads cracked then basin taps start noise due to poor cartridge MAIN PART IN KITCHEN sink mixer I report 2 time phoenix customer team with written email and video how sink mixer through water out of sink and wet clothes and floor all around while washing dishes but… Read more
excuse come though is a it’s designed for it. It should be designed for wash dishes not floor and clothes.there is no pressure adjusting in tap as its through watering straight pressure as its a main supply. Hope not to buy again or even family and entire friends circle. Complaints done to phoenix but only excuses come though instead of resolution. CONCLUSION: rubbish product and way poor service.
beware - you cannot replace washers in some taps - you need a new spindle – Moved house a year ago. The house is a new build - about 12 years old with phoenix beacon hob sink and shower sets through the house. Several taps are leaking unless turned off really hard. Phoenix head office advised that "the tap set you have is from the Beacon range which has been discontinued a while ago. Unfortunately, we don’t have the… Read more
spindles for the basin and wall top assemblies in stock anymore." The washer is imbedded into the spindle - so I need a complete new tap !! and a set for each of the three bathrooms if we want matching tapware. and they offered nothing to assist. Reading other reviews - I understand why now

Bad service bad product, don’t waste your money – Purchased taps for our new home which began peeling within 2 months. Taps were replaced but then started to peel again 6 months later. Was told the warranty wouldn’t cover an already replaced item even though this was a well known problem for this product so effectively left with no option than to pay to replace a defect item. Very disappointing

I needed a couple of replacement grub screws for a Phoenix toilet roll holder. The lady in sales was obliging and good humoured and popped them in the mail for me. Very happy. Show details
Nothing but praise – The after-sales team provided us with excellent and speedy service after the failure of a shower slider. I wish all suppliers were this responsive. Show reply
4 years and no problems – I bought a kitchen tap in brushed nickel with the flexible black hose a little over 4 years ago and never had a single problem with it. I have just moved houses and after looking around decided to buy an almost identicle one. I'm hoping it's as good as the last one I got.

Purchased a home with Pheonix shower. Button to switch between rainshower and handheld is inoperable. Website says Lifetime Warranty, so lodged a claim. Spoke to [Name Removed] from After Sales Service. He stated that as I purchased the home with this installed, they refused a warranty claim as I'm not 'the original owner'. This is illegal, and… Read more
incorrect Under Consumer Law the product is warrantied, not the purchaser. He argued that I didn't pay for it. I did when I purchased the home. He then stated that I didn't buy it new. But somebody did. The warranty is on the product, not the purchaser. So it doesn't matter who owns it. The purchaser doesn't defect, the item does.
[Name Removed] agreed the product was indeed faulty yet refused to cover it under warranty. He then hung up on me.
I have lodged a complaint with Consumer Affairs Victoria, sad I had to go down this route. I guess I have to wait for the outcome rather than Pheonix Tapware wanting to satisfy a customer
Just rubbish, temu level of quality – Absolute garbage, our investment property has them throughout in black.... luckily repairs are tax deductable, because if the tennant doesnt break them, someone will. Hoenstly dont go black taps and fixtures, they are total junk, if you really want black get the cheapest taps you can and some black spray paint, scuff them up, undercoat them and… Read more
top coat, then seal with clear acrylic and you will have a product thats at least 3 to 4 times better than this junk.
The waterflow out of them is absolutely pathetic, im glad the tennant got in touch with me directly and invited me for a look. I couldnt believe how bad these were until i saw them.
Someone even removed the flow restrictors in the shower and bath spout to get semi decent flow, but still woefully under powered, in the end we had to rip the bloody taps out of the walls to find problems with the washers not fully opening on every single black phoenix tap we had. I didnt ask the plumber but im guessing there were also flow restrictors on the taps too that somehow fell out after refixing. Also one of the shower heads even had a scrap of black washer stuck in the downspout. It definetly wasnt the plumber or tennant as same type as the shower head uses. probably causing flow problems as well. They also have problems with staining from whenever you wash your hands with soap, meaning every single time you splash a drop on them they mark.
They are total junk and I feel bad for anyone else renting that doesnt have a decent landlord, as these taps are destined to fail. Id never buy them again. Perhaps your experience might vary?
Expensive for unreliable poor quality – Bought Toi wall mixers through our renovator for 2 bathrooms both sink and bath. Expensive. One tap started to " seize up" meaning I couldn't turn handle but was not leaking. Service said was a cartridge problem so they sent a replacement cartridge. Had to pay a plumber to replace. Soon afterwards that tap started dripping. Now the bath spout… Read more
is also dripping. Even if they send replacements it costs a fortune for the plumber only for it to possibly be faulty again. May be cheaper to just buy another brand which is more reliable. Really poor quality

Good quality product and customer service – Our designer, based on her experience of the product, chose Phoenix for the tap ware throughout our house build. However our builder convinced us to change to ABI for the bathroom sink taps/faucets and showerheads. However I kept the towel rails, toilet roll holders, hooks and bath/laundry/kitchen faucets as Phoenix. So I have both Phoenix and ABI… Read more · 1
in brushed nickel my house, same age and wear. And I can absolutely say that the Phoenix product is much much higher quality. It has a nice sheen and has worn well. In contrast the ABI show a ton of fingerprints, is an odd colour in the shower heads, and the coating is wearing off and tarnishing in places. Don't believe ABI's paid social media influencer media. Love the quality of Phoenix and their customer service. I regret not doing the whole house in their product.

Poor quality tapware – The surface on some of our phoenix tapware has started bubbling and coming off. Underneath the handles are very poorly finished, very rough so the surface has lifted off and it looks rusty. Very disappointed as I like the design. Generally poor quality. Would not buy Phoenix tapware again

original Phoenix Nara Vessel Mixer – Similar to many other reviews, do not buy this tap. There is a major failure with the original Phoenix Nara Vessel Mixer. Phoenix has known since 2019 that the underside of the spout is NOT a negative angle, allowing water to run back down the tap and lead to flooding of your bathroom. There is a new model which Phoenix has designed with a… Read more
negative angle spout, but they are still selling the old model. This major failure has led to significant loss and damage to our property. When we advised Phoenix of the problem they denied any liability but sent us the new version of the Phoenix Nara Vessel with a negative angle spout (e.g. they have fixed the design fault). Phoenix should not still be selling the old model of this mixer tap and should recall the original model to prevent further loss and damage to consumers. If you have been sold the old mixer then immediately contact the manufacturer and request a replacement model at no cost.
Paint chipping – The home I moved into last year had new Phoenix taps fitted. After less than 3 months of use the paint on our black kitchen mixer started chipping. As we didn't own the house when it was renovated and had no POP, we decided to just be careful and hope it didn't get much worse. Sadly that was not the case and, 12 months on, the tap looks dreadful.
Expensive price, cheap quality – We upgraded to thousands of dollars worth of black Phoenix Vivid tapware, mixers and showers for our double ensuite and main bathroom in our new home. Within 9 months, the black finish was wearing/flaking off multiple mixers. Within 2 years, almost all fittings were the same. (We had originally raised this with our builder - Weeks- but they were… Read more
actively trying to avoid fixing MANY defects, and told us this wasn’t covered under any warranty, so I didn’t follow up further). Now, after less than 3.5 years, TWO of the Vivid Round Rose shower heads, in different showers, have exploded within 1 month of each other!! The water filters were clean and no other signs of obstruction. I wouldn’t even expect this from cheap crap, nor have I experienced this with any other old, cheap or dirty shower fittings. Very disappointing. Word of warning for potential buyers - 1. Don’t get black Phoenix fittings. 2. Don’t buy Phoenix shower heads

Frustrated – The taps wouldn't stop dripping (to a point of filling a laundry basket overnight) which meant I had to turn my mains off. I lodged this issue in mid-September 2022 still not fixed. The local agent said they are too busy and wouldn't do it, three lots of replacement taps were sent, and twice Phoenix rang me to say the taps would be sent today to… Read more
the agent's yard although they had been sent to my place and received two days previously, at one stage I was told in a roundabout way I was a liar, even though the box was in front of me. The communication between Phoenix and its work contractors was totally disjointed. An example was when I gave the plumber's details to do the job to the contractor the next morning Phoenix rang to see if was happy with the completed job. Finally, the plumber came last week to do the job and Phoenix had sent the wrong parts for the job. Anyway, the whole process has been a stressful affair around 6 months have gone by unable to use the shower/ bath plus being out of pocket. The other frustrating thing after the six-month experience was no one would take ownership and really follow through with helping me all I got was apologies and excuses.

Dodgy? – I purchased a Phoenix Pina handheld shower head in November 2020 due to it being rated at 6 litres per minute. We always doubted that figure was correct though as it just seemed to push out too much water. I recently replaced it with a different brand rated at 5 litres per minute. I tested them both today, for a full minute, with the cold tap… Read more

Like the design but disappointed with the quality – In April 2021 I purchased a Vivid Twin kitchen mixer VS712CHR. I like the design with the separate lever for hot and cold. However, following your phone advice, I am unable to secure the cold lever by tightening the grub screw sufficiently to stop it from rotating from the vertical to almost horizontal position. I regard this as a design fault.… Read more
The grub screw should have some sort of hole / recess to slot into. Considering the price paid I am extremely unhappy with the failure of the product and would like you to provide an outcome that will be in keeping with your guarantee and provide satisfactory / permanent securement of the position of the lever.

Ridiculous, terrible useless product at premium prices – I picked the Phoenix Teva squareline tap while doing my build. style of this product' and was told to speak to builder. Nowhere in the product brochure indicated that the water coming out from this tap is not aerated and you can shower while washing dishes/hands/cups.
Completely disappointed, don't fall for this company and this expensive useless product. If I could give this company and product negative stars, I would.

Very poor quality black finish – Black kitchen tap included in apartment but finish deteriorated quickly. Was replaced within 1 year on warranty but same thing has happened again and no longer covered. Will need replacing. Photos of 2nd tap after less than a year. We only use natural cleaning products and have not had issues with other black taps and fixtures around the house. Also comes loose often and easily. Don’t buy these products.

VERY VERY VERY UNHAPPY. Useless tapware for me, very terrible, don't recommend at all – Built a new house with all Phoenix Tapware, very fancy looking, but every tapware is faulty. One broke, another 5 are just faulty (shower head, sink mixer, basin mixer). We have to either deal with it or buy new other brand. I think they all are faulty products, I don't recommend it to anyone. Feels like they sell guaranteed faulty products.

Brushed gold tapware does not match – I purchased the vivid slimline range of brushed gold tapware this year and the tapware colour is so different, to the point it looks like different brands.
