I was most disappointed with my “Chunky Steak” pie. The filling was only 2 thirds full and there really wasn’t any chunks of steak to be seen and the gravy/sauce was very peculiar to smell and taste to say the least. But on a good note my wife’s beef sausage roll was quite delicious. Show details
Follow-up · The gravy didn’t smell like a meat flavour. My wife had the sausage roll and enjoyed it. I left the store and drove home so didn’t advise the store or the pies contents.

I asked for a coffee behind the counter as there coffee machines were out of order and they said no yesterday, but served others coffee from behind the counter at frank street labrador , staff don't like wogs and even laughed about not letting me buy a coffee . Butter chicken pie is tasty in the ACT – I’m from the ACT and only ever eaten them in the ACT but they’re good here; taste fresh/ not old, the pastry is perfect and no soggy bottoms, and the filling is well seasoned. I don’t know why, but the pies outside the ACT don’t look good in the window and hence I don’t buy one. They may want to look at these reviews and see what they’re doing well in the ACT and standardise it out to other stores. Show details

For starters I was given the wrong pie. Got a steak and cheese when I ask for shepherds pie. Bit into it and bit straight into the biggest piece of gristle. I used to get the occasional pie from these guys a couple of years ago, I have since moved to another area and tried the local outlet for the first time. Got a steak and peppercorn and it was terrible, the meat was inedible and so tough, the pastry average won’t be back. Show details

purchasing very cheap and nasty meat or what but for us it was a waste of $15 and we will never buy another pie from pie face.
We got 2 x steak and pepper pies and 1 x jumbo sausage roll. We couldn’t eat any of it, the steak was all gristle and no meat we couldn’t even cut through it with a knife and the pastry texture was like hard plastic and no flavour. Coffee was mediocre but just acceptable. The meat in our pepper pies was chewy and inedible so it was offered to our dog, she refused it. The pastry top was OK but the base was soft and not cooked. We have tried once but will not make the same mistake again. Show details
I've just bought a bacon and egg breakfast pie from the united roadhouse at Yarra Glen. This is the worst pie I've ever eaten. It was mostly pastry. The filling was no more than a tablespoon of scrambled egg with no bacon. This is the first and last Pie Face pie I will ever buy. Show details

Went to the Dynon Rd (Melbourne) branch of Pieface to grab a pie at around 8pm on weds 9th April and was told by the cashier that I could not have a pie ( which was clearly on display in the widow of pies), because of cleaning. I'm guessing that me interrupting him on his phone was the reason that the pie was not able to be moved from the window to the heater and not 'cleaning'!!! Show details
