now popping off regularly after 15 - 20 years solid use but what do you expect? My only gripe is the head / stick doesn't come off for a quick corner. 100% will buy another if this thing ever dies...

people because it's easy to manoeuvre around the house, light to lift, easy to empty and has the best suction. The head is suitable for hard floors or carpet.I have owned many vacuums over the years and all of them were expensive, well known brands but none have been as good as the Pirahna. Highly recommend.

Honest truth, better than my Dyson – Own a newsagency/Post Office. Got a call from my wife, while I was in Big W, saying the Dyson smoked up. Brought the Piranha off the shelf for $99.00. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT – I’ve only had this vacuum for 10 months. The plastic lever on steel hose broke off while I was getting it out of the box so I taped it back on. Since then I’ve had to tape the plastic hose tube up as it has broken at both top and bottom ends 6 times, so the hose is now too short. Disappointed – I used this cleaner on both carpet and tile floors, the vacuum itself was disappointing, loud and not reliable. has hit me many times which hurts, always tipped over and makes high pitched sounds and the hose always twists itself and also made high pitched sounds when it was twisted. The hand held vacuum isn’t even worth using!

would be on par with my old machine but smaller and more convenient to use. I’m more than happy with my purchase... it’s easy to assemble and comes with additional fittings and works great on my vinyl floors. It’s bagless which makes it easy to empty and clean and there’s no ongoing costs to purchase bags.

is scratching the floors etc, you need to loosen up the airflow on the handle 3) human hair - with girls in the house, I suspect most of my vacuum woes usually comes down to clogging and tangling of hair. It's unavoidable and maintenance is the key. This vacuum let me know that it was tangled in the head immediately and I was able to clean it out. If you lose suction - something is caught so you need to get it out. 4) I have a combination of floor and tile and worked really well on both surfaces 5) The small head has advantage of getting under and close to what you need. The disadvantage as it take a little longer than larger head vacuums but I was happy to sacrifice for the quality of the job 6) It's light which I really prefer to the heavier vacuums. 7) came with a power hand-held that I haven't tested yet. Only thing I didn't like and took a star off is that the hose tended to tangle, and it is noisy - there's a high pitch that as I get older hurts my ears.
