This company is a joke My installation took 6 months from signing my contract. The delay caused the power company to cancel the permits. On the day of installation they never arrived till after 9am and never left till 7 pm and were in a hurry to leave. My panels were installed on 11th June East /West as per the contract but it was identified by me… Read more

the following day that the output was less than our previous smaller system output. At ticket was raised as the PV2 output is Zero. I am still waiting for them to come back and remedy it. Since then I have called and raised tickets online but to no avail. Today it was noticed that there is water leaking onto the battery so I have raised another ticket There is still no permit from the power company for the install.

The invoice arrived (very quickly) the day after install which I am refusing to pay until the system is installed correctly and the correct permits are approved.

My contract has the below item listed but was not required nor installed but I am still expected to pay for it as per the invoice External Enclosure (To allow for additional switches required for system install, existing switchboard at capacity) 1 $350.00

This is a RORT and everyone should be aware

The initial sales process was tedious, with multiple hiccups along the way when my progress though the sign up procedures was delayed several times because "the spreadsheet was not updated". team.

In the early days after the installation, things ran quite smoothly, but within a week the system was repeatedly shutting down. I relayed the problem to Plico who did some remote analysis , coming back and telling me that "...initial checks denote online and normal functioning."

I responded to this with further details as to what is happening (basically the solar panels simply stop providing power to the battery. My consumption from the grid is increasing over the past few days and my Self Sufficiency is at 75.27% over the past week. (It was sitting in the high 90's when it was first installed)

Today, not only was I not getting any solar power, but the system was drawing power from the grid to charge the battery. I hope that this is not normal and that some attention can be paid to the issue.

Please see attached photos as evidence.

rejected the proposed battery placement, sat around for 2.5 hours waiting for instructions from his office, and then completely abandoned the job.

Since that day, I have had absolute silence from Plico. No follow-up, no new installation date, and management is entirely unreachable. To make matters worse, because of their endless delays, my finance company had to extend the loan offer twice, which has now directly damaged my credit rating. Working in the construction industry, I know exactly what proper site management, technical competence, and client communication look like. Plico has demonstrated none of it. If my company ran projects this way, we wouldn’t have a single client. Absolutely appalling. Avoid them.

Follow-up  · I am updating my initial 1-star review to a 5-star rating following a complete turnaround by the Plico management team. While the start of this project was rocky, Plico truly stepped up to "pick up the slack." on progress unless prompted. Now have a warranty issue waiting for new battery. Support email not responsive, average around two to three weeks to get back to you...if its a week count your blessings.

Our system has not worked properly the entire time we've owned the property. After I logged the fault, which i noticed after we were finally onboarded, follow up was very poor taking about a month or more, now coming on two months since update email with prompt for information two weeks ago so far unanswered. Can only assume battery is on a slow boat sailing the seven seas...they never miss a debit though.

Follow-up  · follow up: Plico got in touch directly after this review was put up. Said battery had been delivered to installer the week previously, and installer is unable to install until end of January. Will update again once install complete. for now I'm upgrading the review from terrible to bad

Follow-up  · Further update: it is now January 31st and have not heard from the warranty installer. Sent an email to plico during the week that has not been responded to. Im downgrading the service back to terrible

I’d like to share my experience with Plico – not as a casual customer, but as a clinical scientist (and a Professor) who did extensive research before making a decision. and decided it was time to look into installing solar panels for my home. I reached out to six different companies for quotes. Most of them were focused on selling – pushing products, packages, cheap panels and deals. Then I met Jasmine Gosney from Plico.

From our very first conversation, it was evident that Jasmine approached things differently from the rest. She didn’t try to sell me anything. Instead, she took the time to educate me about the various options, how solar and batteries work, what to expect, and how to get the best value. It was clear she cared more about helping me understand than closing a sale.

I went back, compared all six quotes (including Plico), and even ran my own analysis using ChatGPT to break down long-term costs, savings, and system performance for about a month. After all that, I confidently chose Plico supported by AI.

Once I confirmed my order in April, the solar panels (6.6kW) were installed within just a week – fast, efficient, and with no damage at all to my roof tiles. A few weeks later, after my rebate came through, they installed the 10kWh battery system and upgraded solar to 9.6kw.

Now, everything is up and running beautifully. The system is smooth, stable, and we’re already saving around $8 per day, even with full usage.

Plico’s customer service has been exceptional, and their professionalism is unmatched. Thank you, Plico, and special thanks to Jasmine Gosney for making this journey so easy and empowering.

We would give Plico zero stars if that were an option. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a solar system to look elsewhere. Our experience has been extremely disappointing. experience changed completely.

We signed up in December 2025, with the paperwork finalised in January 2026. Since then, there has been very little meaningful communication. I have called and emailed repeatedly, and on multiple occasions their contact centre staff have promised that someone would call me back with an update. Those promised return calls have not happened.

This has now dragged on for more than six months, with no clear explanation, no reliable updates and no meaningful progress. I have followed up every couple of weeks for the past three months, but still have not received a proper response.

We are now looking at engaging another supplier to provide and install a solar system at our home. It is extremely frustrating to have wasted this much time waiting for Plico to do something as basic as return a phone call.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend Plico.

Attempted to go with Plico to obtain a home battery. We have an existing SolarEdge and Canadian Solar Panel (6.72kWh) system that is still performing really well, but apparently cannot be combined easily with any batteries. also replace all our solar panels (even though they are only 8 years old) with new Jinko solar models to increase peak production to 8kWh.

Was all going fine until our first salesman left the company. Then went through four others.

The quote was changed to a lower capacity battery due to unknown reasons.

Then they refused to come for a site visit to properly understand the extent of the work required. Originally they wanted a $230 site visit fee, then claimed they couldn’t do them because all their 'installers' were busy. Then eventually looked at my address and realised they had a salesman that lived in the same estate.

When he came around and conducted the inspection he wanted me to contact the original installer of my existing Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSC) (myenergi zappi charger and harvi passive wireless current monitor) to reconnect the CT clamps that are currently connected to the grid and solar input tails of the existing inverter, which the zappi requires to read the solar and grid production, and manage its grid current draw, and enables the ability to draw exclusively from the exported solar production.

Without these the risk of overloading the three-phase breakers is increased and the EV charger won’t work correctly. As an existing appliance, they refused to articulate to me the technical reasons why they couldn’t do it.

When presented with extensively researched OEM and site specific data attempting explain the whys and technical information for there installers (to make their job easier) and to clearly articulate my concerns with not correctly integrating all the existing appliances (that were already in place at the outset of the discussion), the sales team continued to refuse to correctly quote for the additional work (which I was prepared to pay for) to rearrange the Main Switch Board circuits to avoid overloads and to remediate their intended disconnection and islanding of my EVSE.

After threatening to refer them to the CEC for their behaviour, (in spite of all my attempts to contact previous installers of the EVSE, supplying OEM information on the charger and reaching out to the OEM for assistance) I was contacted by their Sales Manager who attempted to ‘manage my expectations’, however was still unable to provide clear explanation as to why the EVSE was beyond their capability to reintegrate (which cannot possibly be the case if they are employing the claimed licensed electrical technicians).

He did indicate that he’d explore alternative options for inverters that included the capability for an EVSE such as Sigenergy, however I then received an email from the salesperson who conducted the site visit withdrawing from all arrangements.

When I attempted to contact them to clarify if they were still going to provide me with the quote related to the more capable Sigenergy system I did not receive a response.

Overall extremely disappointed and frustrated with the only non-government owned VPP provider in the state. The whole experience has like banging my head against a brick wall.

EDIT: Responding Pilco's comments on my Google review. I have received the quote for the Sigenergy 20kWh with the additional AC-coupled EVSE.

I have responded to your salesman reiterating my initial request to be quoted for a a bi-directionally capable, DC-coupled EVSE. If we are adding a second EVSE, to the home, there is little point to us installing a second AC EVSE. From a future-proofing perspective if noting else, the additional expense needs to be worth while. This was not provided nor subsequently amended. The quote was also exorbitantly more expensive (in increase of $20,000!). Frankly, I dodged a bullet with not going with Plico.

signed our contracts. The installer called me that morning and said that they cannot perform the installation as the roof is spanish tile and they dont install for that. 5 MONTHS LATER, plico chose not to do a site visit and rather just thought that apologising and saying they have out in place better processes will make me feel better. This was around the time the reduction in solar rebates will occur so you would expect some sort of compensation as i will now have to pay an extra $2000 for the same type of system to be installed. They offered me $200 off of what i was paying for the other system, an absolute disaster. My suggestion if you are reading this, go with Kluem. Hassle free and no headaches.

To me a few major points i could never get clarification on:

1- I signed a contract and that is binding if i had reneged on my contract you would have followed me and kept my deposit. 2- Take accountability and provide compensation for your mistake. 3- Dont treat people like idiots. You are making alot of money off of being given the rights VPP and therefore people will go with you for ease. Take responsibility and follow through on your commitments. 4- When i challenged the compensation and asked for it to be escalated, i never heard back.

Been a horrible experience after a contract was signed. I got my quoted amount. Once finally got to install could not fit the amount of panels that had been said previously. When it comes to paying for it I said I would like it deducted from price as I don’t feel I should pay for something I don’t have. Now the finance has said to bad so sad.
