Very expensive and exceptionally rude. Paid 265$ for a person coming to check what was wrong with my gas hot water even though the website said 125$ - this checking took 5 minutes as the sparker was charred and didn’t even check anything else convinced me that everything else was bad and asked to buy a new unit. Quoted for 3307$ and I had to pay… Read more
advance of 2000$ straightway. My husband was overseas and I was desperate and they couldn’t come on tues when I was available .. kept the garage open for them to access on mon but called saying they need to get into the house that I had to tell them about my hidden key. Was very anxious throughout as I had 2 indoor cats and a dog inside the house that I had to call my friends daughter to go to my house to check on them. After a very quick 2 hours job the guy calls to ask me to pay over the phone. I said I need to check and I will pay after I reach home. Then the boss calls me and harasses me at work to pay straight away over the phone or the boys can’t leave. I was at work and I said I can’t and he was so rude. So I had to pay Straight away. Very rude customer service. Not worth it.
Do not use this company, found out before installation that they were charging over double price than other plumbers, very objectionable owner threatened legal action when I approached him about this. Stated ( Truly ) that I had signed installation agreement. Was not sympathetic at all that I was an old age pensioner. Show details

Be careful. And read all reviews like I should have. They came here suggested unnessessary tests for a blocked pipe and then offered an”estimate” well above normal rates but I accepted it because they had done good work in the past. I payed the deposit of $600 Then came back a few days later to do the work. I wasn’t home but my wife was and we… Read more
both told them where other plumbers have dug in the past to fix the issue. They dug a hole and claimed that they couldn’t find a pipe. Technician then dissapeared without telling anyone. Later got a call from the manager saying that I was supposed to direct the technician and the estimate would go up if they came back out to do it or I could dig the hole myself for them. I said I don’t want them to do the work anymore so they sent me an invoice for over another $300 with threats of late fees and debt collection fees if I didn’t pay. Consumer protection warned they’re allowed to do this so now we have to lodge an official complaint to try and recover over $900 for work that wasn’t done. Seems to me there just constantly trying find way to milk more money out you while pretending to be polite and helpful. We’ve joined the long list of people taken fo a ride by this mob. Check out the yelp reviews on them. Photo shows the effort put into finding the pipe Edit Had a good plumber come out today who found the pipe writhin 5 minutes and charged $545 to do the whole job. The pipe was in the hole the Plumdog people claim to have dug in looked for it. Plumdog wanted $1400 min to do the same thing

A top job, well done – Darius came to our property today to resolve a wastepipe issue in our kitchen unit that had caused major flooding problems. He resolved what appeared to be a difficult problem efficiently and cleanly. I would recommend Plumdog and Darius. A job well done . Show reply
Very Impressed! – I cannot speak highly enough of the work James and Chris have done today. We had two holes in the main outside drain, necessitating the replacement of a large section of pipe. This not only entailed the removal of a significant portion of our brick deck and several bushes, but also the digging of a substantial trench. Absolute professionals,… Read more · 1
they kept me informed of their progress through out the day and, upon completion, cleaned up the whole area, leaving everything spick and span.
Impressed is an understatement! Thank you for your efforts… they were very much appreciated!
Excellent service – Had James and his apprentice from Plumbdog around to unblock drains and piping to the kitchen sink. They had the pipes and gully clean in no time, explaining every step along the way including viewing the pipes on the inspection camera. Thanks guys. Will definitely use again and recommend. Plum-top dog – Gave adequate warning of works needed. Gave both minimum and worst case senario quote. On time. Faily priced. Very informative. James and his apprentice were very friendly. Show reply
Don't use, had water leak came out did half water leak as didn't have a air compressor for less then hour charged $409.93, plumbdog mandurah come again at 3 30pm another day did testing again removed few pavers, dig a little bit sand thought it was under concrete step outside laundry and then said his time was up and left just before 5pm charged… Read more
another $456.75 told us we would need to knock out concrete step. I had told him the bottom of bath was really cold when I had a bath recently and we had thought it was in bathroom. After that we went elsewhere.Got in an awesome plumber from local area who found leak under bath tub no where near where step was, and in bathroom not laundry he fixed it $600 dollars and 4 hours work. Plumbdogs are a rip off.

Plumb Dodgy Avoid this dishonest. bullying company at all costs. The $125 is purely for attendance and quotes with upselling. Try to find a trusted local plumber, who will do the work for a fraction of the cost and time of this company. I have no doubt there are some genuine, well intentioned plumbers working for this company who are responsible… Read more
for the good reviews but beware, the management is aggressive, threatening and dishonest in their dealings, push upselling and the plumber I dealt with was more pushy salesperson then plumber. My experience is unfortunately like many others on here. A plumber attended with no intention of repairing the leak the was visible. Instead tried to sell expensive investigative works which did not include repairing the leak. I requested time to discuss with my partner and was pressured me into paying a deposit to avoid a higher charge for the same work the following day. I did not sign paperwork and immediately called the office when he left to say I was not comfortable proceeding with booking the investigative works in and return of my deposit. the following day the leak was repaired quickly and at a fraction of the cost of the plumb dog deposit to merely investigate. I accept paying the call out fee despite the plumber arriving 15 mins before signing off and making no attempt to repair the leak, I do not accept paying for deposit of work I was heavily pressured into paying a deposit for when I expressed my discomfort the plumber continued to pressure insisting that I call my husband to discuss in his presence. This is not professional behaviour and neither is the managements response to my request for return of deposit under the circumstances. They responded that they had attended on a different day and that I had signed documents which I had not. They did not supply me with a receipt or written copy of the quote until I requested in writing and then claim that it didn't matter that I hadn't sign the quote because their terms and conditions state deposits are not refundable. Fortunately a local plumber was able to attend the following morning and repair the leak quickly and without any hardshell. James was polite, thorough, patient and extremely good at his job. I will be recommending James and Plumbdog too all my contacts needing quality plumbers and leak detectors. He promised he would find it and fix it and he did exactly as he said he would . Couldn’t be happier to recommend. Cheers Ryan Show reply
Recently had Evan from Plumbdog do an excellent job in insulating the pipes running thru our roof. He was on time, took less time than quoted and was very professional. Would happily recommend Plumbdog and Evan. Show 2 replies

Great service. Everything went well and on time from delivery to installation to removal of old HWS. James (the installer)was very polite and informative throughout the process , despite a few challenges in removing the old HWS from a very tight location. Plumbdog kept us very well informed throughout the entire process. Show reply
Negative reviews
I’m not one to write a negative review, however on this occasion I feel I need to share my personal experience. We used Plumbdog Plumbing in Nov 2022 to have our flexi hoses replaced as advised by our strata company. We went with Plumbdog Plumbing due to the many positive reviews. The plumber who did the job told us we needed a new mixer tap in… Read more
the bathroom because the flexi hoses couldn’t be removed. However, the new mixer tap he fitted couldn’t be used properly because of where it was positioned in front of the mirror. It took a lot of negotiation to have it replaced with the old mixer tap - he argued he wouldn’t be able to get a refund if he returned it. The plumber then proceeded to replace all the flexi hoses but connected the hot water hoses to the cold water outlets and cold water hoses to the hot water outlets. This was only discovered after he left. When he returned to fix this issue, I received no apology from him. I received an electronic invoice via email after I paid the account which I saved for future reference. I have recently found that I am unable to access this bill when I click on the link attached to their email. When I contacted their office, I was informed they had changed their software and were unable to provide an itemised bill showing works done as they could not access the old software. They confirmed they had my name on their records but could not provide any further information apart from that. As a result, I am unable to provide proof to my strata company that the flexi hoses have been replaced by a plumber in the last 5 years. I was reassured my concerns would be passed onto the head office and someone would call me back, but I received no response.

Fix toilet fill valve Plumb Dog quoted "Estimate $3414.56 to $3714.56". Another plumber fixed and replaced the fill valve for $310. How could an assessment and repair be so so wildly different? One is always judged by peers and to quote more than $3000 more for what was a simple issue is damning.

I place Place Plum Dog last on my list of plumbing Companies to recommend. They have all the high tech equipment and no doubt will say this will save you money. customer in question was extremely UNHAPPY and in tears with your service. A family friend who has been a plumber for 30 years reviewed your work done, time taken and parts needed and was in disbelief at the final figure. A high three figure price was his estimate not $4.2K.
I noticed how you conveniently avoided answering the criticism levelled at your company and this seems to be a pattern on your responses. I can only assume you have someone who previously worked in PR or politics.
You may well have gotten a substantial amount of money from my elderly parents but for every person who reads this review and takes their money elsewhere it will be money well spent. What is that old saying? What goes around comes around. Need a plumber? Ask a friend or at the very least get two or three quotes.
And to every person who has written a bad review on this company: bad service and follow-up responses like this makes you lose your faith in good old fashioned honest companies. Awaiting your usual response

Charged pensioners $4200 for a 2 hour job and $350 worth of materials. This equates to 6 weeks of their pension. Refuse to discuss the matter with concerned family members. This is on top of a $300 call out fee charged for a guy who turned up and said he couldn’t even look for the water leak because he was allergic to bees and didn’t have an EpiPen. Avoid at all costs! Unfortunately I had to give 1 star instead of none. Unconscionable behaviour.

James was great! He found our leak in no time and managed to repair it even though it was late in the day. He was very informative and updated us on pricing as he went along. All while being a really polite and pleasent bloke. Will recommend. Show reply
Plumber did not fix the problem. The fee they charged was exhorbitant (twice the fee) compared to other plumbers who have attended for similar problems. The problem reoccurred within 1 day. On calling the company they adviced that they will charge a new fee over and above what they originally charged. Why show up for a job and then partially fix… Read more
it and then ask for a fresh charge for a problem that you didn’t fix in the first place. In other words the plumber turned up without the right equipment for the job and then when he realised he couldn’t fix the problem and he had to rush to the next job, he did a half baked job and used a lame excuse that he needed to contact me to extend the scope of works. Instead of charging a full fee, why could the plumber not assess the problem first, charge a reasonable assessment fee and then advice that he will return on another day with the right equipment to complete the job. This is poor service and workmanship for top dollar. Highly recommend not to use them. Avoid them and pay close attention to those one star reviews.

James from Plumbdog plumbing arrived promptly he is a very pleasant person who quickly located the leak. Gave us a detailed estimate of costs.Took the time to explain the problem he had located and then went about the repair efficiently, cleaned up after, replaced the pot plants, thank you James Show reply
I paid almost $850 for leak detection which wasn't conclusive at all. This was conducted in 1 hr 40 mins (that's almost $510/hour). Smartfix offered me a competitive quote for $700 for a complete leak detection. The reception member of staff was extremely impatient with me when I tried to raise my concerns.

DO NOT use these guys, all 1 star reviews are right! – I really think most 5 star reviews here are fake. call out fees/weekend surcharge", which once you see you are happy to go ahead and book. it was a very expensive phone call i made and still had to pay for it without any of them lifting a finger (there was no visit, no job done).
