Hidden costs, ridiculous prices
MelbourneCalled them to check a connection on my ceiling fan that wasn't working. Chose them because they explained there is no $100 callout fee, they waive it if I accept the quote on site for work, which seemed fair and reasonable. Electrician arrived, said the repair would cost around $300, but after 15 minutes said there was no repair the device was faulty. So instead of charging us $300 for a repair, he charged us $440 for 'fault detection'. We had to pay PlumbFirst more than the price of the ceiling fan just to confirm it wasn't working. I would h

The actual electrician was a nice guy, he was clearly embarrassed by the fee and kept apologising, but showed me he was working off a rate card that he couldn't change. I would never use this service again or recommend it to anyone.

This company preys on the vulnerable people
MelbourneThis company preys on the vulnerable people who don't understand basic trades. I needed basic plumbing which was hot/cold taps and waster water moved just 500mm to adjust for new bathroom vanity. I had removed the plaster and called them for the "Same Day" service. I had [Name Removed] arrive in the afternoon who stuffed around for an hour to "design" (his words) new bathroom piping. He then produced a quote for $3,100 to complete the work. He told me it was a two person job which would take all day!

Say goodbye to flooding
AdelaideI had blocked stormwater pipes which needed replacing. Jared and James from Plumb First were at my house at 7am and worked tirelessly for 3 days through sun and then rain. They have done a great job and carried out their tasks professionally and efficiently. While the job is in progress it's all a bit daunting, but Jared and James have tidied everything up and it all looks amazingly good. I am very happy with the job and their work. Thank you also to the excavator driver who was also very skilled in his digging. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys.
