I also got a heat pump installed by polygon in the same job and they made that super easy. None of the other vendors I spoke with were willing to manage a heat pump installation alongside a solar one. But Dawson and the team and Polygon were happy to make it work.

10 potential suppliers - representing a mix of big/small businesses and for what it’s worth - we’re very happy we chose to go with Polygon.

We decided to forgo the inclusion of a battery as our main objective was to cut expenses and the ROI on batteries just isn’t quite there yet.

Very reasonable quote for a fairly large 16Kw+ system installed with Sungrow inverter and it’s already pretty much offset our need to draw from the grid during the day.

Make sure your quotes include the option for a Smart Meter - so that you can monitor via the app (both surprisingly user-friendly and detailed), for ease of tracking energy usage and cost from your smartphone.

Pros and cons of various alternative inverter and panel brands were also discussed. This visit gave us confidence in our initial choice of installer. The installation itself was carried out on the agreed day and went without any significant problems. The panel and inverter installations were tidy and professional, with appropriate cable routing and termination and labelling. The system was tested and commissioned in our presence by the installing electrician and the supervising engineer, Deep. We were provided with appropriate user training in relation to the iSolarCloud monitoring application. Drone photographs of the roof installation from various angles were also provided. The only issue we have had was minor, relating to the feed-in tariff setting in iSolarCloud. This was quickly resolved. The system has well met our performance expectations.

Professional company – Positive Energy Solar installed a ground solar array on our property four months ago. On installation, everything worked perfectly. The array and associated electrical installations still work perfectly. The support and installation team worked perfectly, even supporting us in getting the requisite permits.
