barracuda. He opined that my pump was weak and that my chlorinator could do with replacing. OK, I said, and the next day Wayne arrived and came and went over hours finally leaving without telling me and failing to give basic instructions as to the operation of the new system. He also left the control box hanging lopsided from one screw on a panel that was too small for it. Neither did he hand over the manual which was left on a garden seat and not discovered for a couple of days. At 10.30 pm that day Oliver sent an invoice for three and a half thousand dollars which I discovered the next morning. I had already found that the barracuda was not working which Wayne had not noticed! So the original problem had not been addressed/fixed and a relentless barrage of emails followed demanding payment. Oliver refused to come out to see the problem continuing to demand payment and saying that Wayne would be back out to correct any mistakes. A few days later Wayne did come out without announcing himself so I went out to find him repairing the “mistake” of the unusable hanging control box. I addressed him to the fact that the barracuda was not working at which he expressed surprise and thought that a valve to the barracuda was not operating. So at this point I have spent thousands without the problem being fixed. Watch this space (to be continued) and avoid Oliver’s business if you don’t want to end up in a legal proceeding.

Removed], was extremely disappointing. Communication and reliability were major issues, and the service provided did not meet professional standards. At first, [Name Removed] appeared responsive and professional — quick to quote and promise results. However, problems began soon after payment. He invoiced before the job was completed, attempted to increase the quoted amount, and supplied a pump that did not perform as required. After consulting the manufacturer, I was advised that the pump was undersized for my pool and should not have been used. Despite repeated assurances that the issue would be fixed, no action was taken, and my calls and messages went unanswered. I eventually sought assistance from NSW Fair Trading and then lodged a claim with the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT). The Tribunal ordered [Name Removed] to refund the cost of the unsuitable pump, which he did only after the order was made. In my view, the product supplied was not fit for purpose, and I had to go through an unnecessarily lengthy process to obtain a resolution. I strongly suggest that anyone considering using this company exercise caution and research carefully before engaging their services especially the Facebook reviews most of the reviewers live in Indonesia.

Complete stammers. They make bookings when I never asked them too. Stay away at any cost. I am a mechanic and have been servicing Oliver’s vehicles for over 3 years and he has been a bad payer and would under pay on invoices. He refuses to pay me $2500 for a job I did in December 2024. He doesn’t answer any of my calls. Oliver is a scammer and a con man and must be avoided at all cost as he will rip you off! Show details

In our opinion the company principal is a fraud. He does not deliver on promises and service – Poolsmart were engaged in October 2024 to refurbish our pool. In the main that was to fix a leak, repaint the pool and install a heat pump. Repairs/renovation to the coping was offered as a deal sweetener. We now find ourselves with:- . 5 leaks. Repeated requests to the principal to view and fix have gone unanswered. . The paint work is abysmal (The first coat was attended initially on a hot day - not recommended by the paint suppliers). Resulted in hundreds of lumps and big bubbles on the floor and walls. The principal has made several appointments to inspect but has failed on every occasion to attend. Paint spills on tiles and garden furniture has not been cleaned. Water refill was attended one day after painting as instructed by the principal, however we have now learned that the paint suppliers recommended that this not happen for 10 to 14 days. Again the principal will not view or discuss. . The heat pump was not installed correctly resulting in a code error that precludes operation. The principal said that the second pump in the filter system was surplus to needs and removed it, however a pool service group who we had look at the pump error message has dismissed this as a lie. The plumbing at the filter area will now need to be redone and a new pump installed. . The grouting refurbishment was not completed well. For instant grout was laid over the top of moss instead of removing it first. Holes are not filled and the mess from fill was allowed to fall into the pool and onto the new paint. The workmen did not return to clean up the job, resulting in the owners having to attend. . The chemicals (Salt etc) were added but were not adequate or checked. Resulting in a pool service company having to be employed to fix.

Three months have now elapsed. The principal continues to fail keeping appointments and to fix the very unsatisfactory work.

Terrible fraudulent service – DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. [Name Removed] and his staff are frauds. If they do turn up with chemicals they dump and run with less than 10 minutes on site although the invoice lists tasks such as vacuuming the pool and flushing the filter. used until I indicated I had security camera footage showing none being brought onto site. His consumables are 200% or more than retail even though there is also a service charge. [Name Removed] has a bad name in town. If he says your machine is broken get a second opinion ASAP as it’s common knowledge he turns elements off to show they are ‘broken’. I am thankful I only took 2 months to realise this is a fraudster. BEWARE!!
