Highly recommend the Powerdiverter

The Powerdiverter was money well spent, Dan explained what it could do & it does it well by letting the solar I produce to heat up my water tank saving me money. No one tells you when you get solar that the controlled load meter charges all the time which hits your back pocket. So thanks to Dan & his clever Powerdiverter technology, I can have my solar system power my entire house hold energy usage. I would highly recommend anyone who has got a solar system or is about to install a solar system and has a hot water electric tank to get the Powerdiverter installed at the same time to truly save on your electricity bills.
P.S Your electricity company would hate you to install this device as it hits their back pockets. Show details

Fantastic set and forget hot water from excess solar using Powerdiverter

Purchased the latest 3X Powerdiverter and had fitted to new 315 ltr storage hws three weeks ago. So far it has delivered every thing as promised with this model providing real time info on solar produced and what is diverted to the hws from excess solar. So much better and more clever than the timer option I was considering. Daniel was great to deal with and liaised with the plumber/electrician on install. The new 3X model at $1100 approx. does offer quite a few improvements from lesser model. Highly recommend. Show details

Latest Power Diverter

Very happy with the whole installation process, worked closely with Dan in setting up the latest model. The ability to access real-time information on the performance and energy usage is a great asset. Anyone who has excess Solar being exported to the grid should seriously consider installing a Power Diverter. I researched several Diverters before choosing this one and considered the Power Diverter to be a more professional unit. Many thanks Dan. Show details

Power diverter

We have 5 power diverts on the hot water services at our caravan park.
In an effort to reduce energy costs these units have been very efficient teamed with our solar panels we use the solar energy to run our electric hot water systems.
This has reduced our energy costs significantly.
Plus the ability to access real-time information on the individual unit’s performance and energy usage.
Great company to deal with who will do whatever they can to help you . Show details

POWER for $1.71 per day - family of 6 ( Down to $1.25 per day on average over 8 weeks )

( UPDATE - FROM DATE OF INSTALL TILL 5/11/2023 AVERAGE IS DOWN TO $1.25 PER DAY ) The 10 days b4 our Powerdiverter was installed my daily average was $4.96 then after installation our 10 day average dropped to $1.71 ( This will pay for itself in under 1 year ) - Electrician $280 about 2hrs
It took 22 days from the day I purchased to the day my electrician installed the Powerdiverter .
Dan is very easy to communicate with and will help you with any questions you have.
Dan talked me through the Powerdiverter app in 2 minutes so I could monitor my water heating up – TOO EASY Show details

Don’t do it

Have been chasing around for a month to get my money back. Luckily I paid with Paypal so I’m getting reimbursed. Lots of promises but never delivered the items. After first contact wouldn’t answer calls or emails. Show details

Powerdiverter HWS diverter is a brilliant product

Bought a hot water diverter from them. Was a bit slow to deliver due to production delays. Also wiring diagram on website did not match wiring diagram sent with product (re which phase of a 3-phase system to connect the transmitter to).

Apart from those two things I could not be more happy with it. Works exactly as advertised and clearly a high quality and well engineered product. Show details

Questions & Answers

Our power diverter is heating our hot water with excess solar production. I have the Tuya smart app and when I look at the app to see how many kWh the power diverter has sent to the hot water system for the day the reading is very low. For example today the Tuya app says 1.94 kWh, other days this figure is 1.83 kWh, 1.52 kWh. I don’t believe this can be correct as we have enough hot water for our family to shower. Is there a setting in the Tuya app I need to change to get correct kWh.

We had our electrician install the powerdiverter for us. Our hot water system is still heating at night which is costing us money, can anyone please explain why this could be happening and how we can get our hot water system to only be heating of a day time using our excess solar and the powerdiverter? I have reached out to powerdiverter by email but have not received a response.

Thank you for your reply, I will try this and see if this stops it heating overnight.

If I ordered a powerdiverter unit, is there anything else that I need to order to have pv production monitoring?
