Did a good job and was on site quickly. Just very very expensive, similar to the other review mentioned. $1300 for about 30 minutes of labour. Charging a rate of $2600 /hr is very excessive. Although it was an evening 7pm callout. Still unexpectedly expensive, and almost double the price of other recent emergency plumbing callout I had a few months ago on a Sunday evening.

Overcharge and unfairly charged. Price not disclosed upfront. Pressure tactics when client calls for an emergency. Invoice doesn’t match agreed scope. Invoice is not clear and professional. The cost increased without approval. Takes advantage of tenants who don't know how to follow procedures and call the maintenance real estate agent. I called… Read more

and checked today and I was told his Plumbers Membership is terminated. He must be investigated. 2 hours of emergency plumbing work should not result to $3088.88

We got scammed, too!! Wishing we didn't have an emergency that required an after hours plumber! Charged $1842 for an after hours call out. Here less than an hour, turned off the water mains and put 2 caps on a leaking hot water system. Next day quoted to replace the hot water system which included a $720 discount for the previous nights call… Read more

out. Total with discount was still more than a reputable plumber who did the job for us today. The reputable plumber said it should have cost under $400 for the after hours call out, including works done. Don't be conned by this company or person. Sharks!!

Got Scammed – We had a plumbing emergency which should have costed around $250. I trust the plumbers as I had nice experiences till now, but booked this guy as our regular plumber wasn't available and he came with a prop in the bucket to show us how the pipe will burst and scared us it is going to happen soon to us and our insurance is not going to cover.… Read more

Replaced them all with cheap $10 one's from bunnings without giving us a prior quote and billed us $2600. Got Scammed without our fault. Worst experience ever. Do not fall for this scammer. Taught me a valuable life lesson, never let your guard down.

Severely overpriced for emergency repair – Found him over internet for emergency pipe burst repair, got charged massively at the end. Please have a very deep pocket if you consider finding this company for anything.

Got the job done but was sneaky with the quote – Needed an urgent water leak detection and repair. I called Priority 1 Plumbing who were very accommodating. I was quoted $295 per hour + equipment cost. I thought it was on the pricey side but OK it was an emergency after all, and they advertised no call out fee. The leak detection took less than 1 hour. The plumber then arrived a few hours later… Read more

and fixed the leaking pipe in about an hour. This is a breakdown of my invoice. Prices EXCLUDE GST:

Leak detection: $295 (as quoted) Cost of equipment: $595 (WTH??) Gas used to detect leak: $140

Repair labour: $365 Parts: $235 (!!!) Same day service: $165

Total: $1795 + GST ($179.50)

After expressing my shock, I was given a $100 discount. Total inc. GST came to $1,874. For less than two hours of work in total.

This is the first business I came across were they charge you extra for using the tools they need to do the job (their tools, not mine).

Being a single mum, I'm not sure what I'm going to eat or feed my kids the next few weeks. Probably live off noodles. The only reason I paid was that I was alone with him and I was scared to escalate the issue.

One star for getting the job done on time. But next time, I'm going to check the reviews first, and get a proper quote.

Rude and arrogant – Called Priority 1 Plumbing ([Name Removed]) as his contact form wasn't working. He was extremely rude saying "yeah so what - what do you want", "why are you telling me this", "who cares if it's not working, do you want me or not". Forget just trying to do something half decent in this world. Had a 15m pipe reline needing done but the way [Name… Read more

Removed] answered the phone with the arrogant attitude really turned me away from him.

Avoid his slick tactics on his website to get you to call - do your due diligence before getting [Name Removed] from Priority 1 Plumbing in Brisbane to do your job.

Rip Off and does not deserve a 2 chance – After I have been robbed by priority 1 plumbing then only found this review. I totally believe every comments and reviews found on this site. It was pity that I found this out too late. I also unsure how can someone like this can continue operating his business?

Overcharged - Very Expensive – Boy did I make a big mistake. Wish I saw these reviews. Very Very expensive to fix a leak under the basin and replace some tapware.

Criminal over charging – Do not use this plumber under any circumstances! We neglected to get an upfront quote and he charged us $1750 to clear a blocked kitchen sink by pouring drain acid down. He was at our house for less than an hour. He charged $450 for the use of the camera, $350 for the use of the flexi-pipe, a bunch of trumped up unspecified “equipment costs”,… Read more

$440 for 1 hour if his time plus $110 for an hour of the kid apprentice he had with him…. A rip-off con-man of the highest degree.

Excessive pricing - do not ever call – Slightly wet area in the cabinet under water tap hose in bathroom. Called Priority1 Plumbing QLD ex www pages - [Name Removed] answered - came assessed and advised water-tap to be replaced due to a small puncture in the hose (age/rust). Agreed, also deciding to replace the same in the other bathroom (same age/rust) and my bad didn't ask for a approximate cost. My bad! $2306.70 invoice for replacing 2 water-taps.

Rip off merchant!! – Placed a call for a single blocked toilet. The plumber was in the house for less than 10 minutes and charged me almost $1,100 for the job!! He quoted $440 in labour, $330 to use the camera (for about 30 seconds) and the rest for acid. Do NOT call this plumber l!

Robbery – Be very, very careful with this person. He will not even go red in the face to charge you excessive amount. Use someone else. This man needs to be reported to some oversight organisation to check on the way he charges.

Overcharging +++++++++ – We were charged $1300 for an emergency call within business hours. It took no more than 1/2 hour to repair. The following day they came out to QUOTE for changing over pipes in our roof and were charged another $495. Stay well away. The guy had the hide to tell me that they gave good deals and trashed another company starting with the letter F.

Bloody expensive – I was Charged $1050 to connect up new dishwasher. He replaced a couple fixtures under sink, added an adapter to lengthen the drain hose. Only went with them, otherwise I would’nt have had water for 24hrs. Service was fine, as was worked carried out. Quote was up front, so no hidden cost….but the $1050…ouch!

Daylight Robbery – These guys charged my mother $908 to put new taps in her bathroom (1 bathroom). They were there for less than an hour but clearly decided to take advantage of an older retired lady who had no clue at the time that she was being way over charged for the their services. Absolute disgrace to be honest that in these day and age where everyone works so… Read more

hard to earn money, businesses like this are robbing people of their hard earned money. Would not recommend these people to anyone and even if you do decide to use them, ask for a quote first. Would give 0 star if I could.

Absolute Rip Off – I got charged $1,145 to connect water to my fridge - there was a water connection behind my fridge so no running of pipes etc. When I complained Dave said his charge out rate is $295 per hour with a min of 1 hour per trip (2 trips) and a min of 1 hour to order some nuts needed for the fridge connector.

Beware senior citizens of who comes dodgy plumbers – i felt taken advantage of as a senior citizen. Called about a water leak in my onsite . Turned up 45 mins later replaced piping under sink then asked to replace kitchen tap . was about 20 mins work in all .Presented a bill for $2480.00 . I had cash and proceeded to count it out only He took it out of my hand which was in a brace through recent… Read more

injury .cash was $810.00 which he quickly put in his pocket and stood over me on my computer while i transferred a further $1590 into his account announcing he give me an $80.00 discount. being in a lot of pain at the time and feeling intimated by his mannerism i initially felt i couldn't question. Now later my family are very disappointed that Priority 1 plumbing could lack such integrity. Currently seeking legal advice as calls to David reply, ' I"M under a sink I can't answer i will call back'. Needless to say he has not called back. In addition, he took all the parts he'd removed from my place without my permission.

Significantly Overcharged – We asked [Name Removed] to come fix our leaking kitchen sink. He said it would be an easy fix. There was a hole in a soft hose pipe from the tap. I asked if he could just cut the hose and put the fittings back on the end and he said I couldn't. He replaced the tap, with a horrible $50 tap that you could get from Bunnings, which didn't matter… Read more

too much for a temp repair but he never said he would charge me $330 for it. I would have bought one myself of far better quality if he had been honest. He also charged me for the two tap hoses for the kitchen tap (don't they come with hoses), and checked the toilet saying it needed a new hose or it could flood through the whole house. So the total bill for less than an hour's work was $1,056!!! This should've cost $350 - $400 at the most. At no point did he indicate how much this would be - he made it seem like it was an easy quick job (which it was). He forced me to pay immediately which I would never usually do for this kind of amount. It's very unscrupulous expecting people to pay this much money for this amount of work, with minimal cost to him. It is just a scam, I will be reporting him to the Plumbing Association. For anyone else with this kind of issue, I recommend you do the same. Very disappointing. It is obviously something he does regularly, which is very, very disappointing and I wish I had spent the time checking here first. He was quick to arrive but this lack of care to be honest about costs, or charge a fair amount is unreasonable.

The biggest rip off ever do not trust this guy – We had a leaking water pipe to house called priority 1 plumbing he sent another company out to find leak and fix it which took 2 hrs the plumber eventually turned up in which I informed him the toilet was not flushing properly he put camera down pipe and said one of the pipes were cracked and needed repairs he did not even attempt to repair told… Read more

me to do it myself,he charged me 5000 dollars for 2 hrs work which the other company bill was only 1000 dollars so he charged me 4000 dollars for putting a camera down a pipe and not fixing it ,I engaged another plumber only to find the toilet was blocked and fixed it for 85 dollars,no cracked pipes at all just a blocked toilet ,do not trust this guy

Do not use Priority One Plumbing Brisbane – They came to fix a simple leak in the overflow of my rainwater tank. Said it was fixed, cost $363 but it was still leaking. He would not answer his phone but was very rude in his smses. He said someone would come back, didn't come back when they said. Messaged again, he was rude again. Said they would come back. I didn't see any repairs. … Read more

Smsed, he said they had been out Monday. I had a look and tested. Still leaking. Lots more rude smses and they will not come back to fix it. I had to get another plumber in to fix the leak. I have never encountered a worse trades person/company than Priority One Plumbing Brisbane.

One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with! – As others have mentioned, I would give them 0 stars if I could. Problematic from the outset. Received quote for new gas heating unit and was given a quote. I don't live at the property but my daughter does. She has health concerns so I asked the company (via email and by phone conversation) to deal with me only. No response to email and… Read more

ignored my request completely. After installation of unit it was found to be faulty. Plumber reported to company and the company who made the unit sent someone out to fix (was a faulty switch). Had to pay half the invoiced price up front and then we were harassed constantly for the remainder of the amount due. This harassment continued for both myself and my daughter. The overseas call centre (and they pretend it is from Melbourne) did not stop with the constant calls from different mobile numbers. I was told by a customer service person that I would know when they were calling me as the number would identify as Priority 1 Plumbing. Not so....... I told them under no circumstances were they to constantly contact my daughter via email and mobile and I asked them to make a note of this in their database as one customer service person does not seem to know what another service person has said or agreed to. I was assured this would be rectified. Nope. It took them six months to finally come out to finish the job (and I told them I would not pay until everything on the quote was completed and the heater was in good working order, which they continually ignored). The day after the job was finally completed I received the invoice for the remainder of the money owed and the phone calls started again...........even though the email stated 'pay at your earliest convenience'. Please avoid this company at all costs.

Excessive cost – Called David to unblock a toilet - unfortunately for me it was one of the first companies to come up on google search and the first I called. job and hung up on me. It was difficult to understand his verbal price of everything and this was only discussed after the job was almost completed. The mixer ended up costing $509.30 with all the ‘add ons’ and GST - similar pricing to the RIPPED OFF TOO!! and CRIMINAL complaints posted 10/03/22 and 7/03/22 and absolutely agree with their reviews. To unblock the drain cost in excess of $1400.00. I would NOT recommend this plumber. He definitely takes advantage of the situation.
