Best juicer, pity about the removable press failing after c 300 squeezes – I have owned this juicer for approximately 12 months, The machine has suburb qualities, a c 5-8 second squeeze gets all the juice, and most importantly a very quiet low pitch motor. The Stainless steel construction is excellent and solid on the bench top. The leverage on the overhand lever is an excellent idea and multiplies the downwards… Read more
pressure of the squeezing cup. I use the juicer daily and sometime bi- daily . However the most important failing , which negates 100% of the worth of this c$300 machine, is the plastic/metal press cup. The plastic ring which locks into the lever arm gets worn fast and the cup fails to stay in the lever arm.
Had high hopes – We thought this was going to be a great citrus press and where really happy when we first started using it, seemed really good, easy to use and got lots of juice per lime, but after about 15 limes it just stopped. we had a couple of buckets worth of limes to do and freeze. we took it back as we thought it was faulty and they gave us another one.… Read more
it worked perfectly for another 15 or so limes and stopped again. it seems that the motor is over heating. this is ridiculous for such an otherwise great machine. we will be returning as this is not fit for purpose, 15 limes is not much for such a powerfu, heavy duty and expensive machine. Breville you could have done well here with a bit better cooling designed into the motor installation, a fan on the bottom of the shaft and a cooling vent would probably have been fine, but fully inclosed like it is the motor has no chance. Build Quality is great, just the design is flawed,
Does the best job. Minor design flaw – I did a lot of research before purchase.. This juicer scores high for yield (how much juice is extracted), ease of use, versatility and ease of cleaning. I would have given it 5 stars except for an annoying design fault with the juicing cup (the bit that sits over your fruit. It has a little plastic circlip that holds it in place to allow for easy… Read more
removal of the cup for cleaning. The cup has a tendency to pop out of its locator. Breville have indirectly acknowledged this design is flawed because they now provide four spares with each machine. Having said that, my research did not uncover a better juicer for citrus fruits. The lever action requires little effort, the juice yield is better that any other product, the unit is very quiet and the parts are all easily and quickly removed for cleaning (which is also very quick and easy). Works with limes, lemons, oranges and grapefruits with no change of parts to accommodate the different sized fruits. The strainer seems to allow just the right amount of pulp into the extracted juice (very healthy I'm told). The unit is housed in a stainless steel casing and seems very solid. If you enjoy fresh citrus juice, give this product some serious consideration.
Best juicer in 30 years – We've had an orange tree for more than 30 years and went through lots of citrus juicers before we found the Breville 800CP. We have fresh squeezed orange juice 5 days a week and the 800CP is the only one that can handle this for years on end. And so easy to use with the lever action and fruit dome which fits all sizes of oranges, limes and… Read more
lemons. We've just purchased our third 800CP - they tend to last about 5 years then the gearbox gives up.
I thought it died then it came back to life – The kids were juicing about 10 oranges and i was telling my friend how much i liked the juicer and what a great solid design it is. Then in that moment it just stopped with a bad electric motor smell. Dissappointing after about 15 months of use. However, seemed it just needed a rest and it started working again when i checked 20 mins later. So… Read more
seems to be a protective mechanism. Annoying how the bit that fits over the fruit has such a flimsy attachment and often falls off.
Morning ritual – I have been using the stainless steel version for over two years to make two glasses of fresh orange juice every morning. A brilliant functional design, works faultlessly and it still looks like new! Easy to clean - immediately after use I just rinse/brush the units clean under cold water then pour hot water from the kettle (after making cup of… Read more
tea) over the unit to help it dry (with paper towel) and then reassemble the unit. Fresh pressed orange juice is so much nicer, and cheaper, than the bottled variety. Buy oranges by the bag, enjoy the seasons, navel / valencia, from around Australia. Fresh is definitely best.
Another Breville Heap of Crap! – If you want to juice more than six oranges, don't buy this over priced rubbish. Cone falls off repeatedly, and the machine shuts down before it juices one lousy bucket full of fruit! Show details
Love My New ‘Toy’! – I was sick of hand juicing oranges from my heavily fruited trees every year. I researched available citrus pressers, and this came on top. Today I juiced 30 oranges, of varying sizes, in a fraction of the time taken hand juicing. The 800CP didn’t miss a beat. It juices fruit thoroughly, straight into the jug (not provided) underneath without… Read more
drips. Other reviews stated problems with the juicer cone constantly falling off, yet Breville have addressed this. The cone didn’t fall off, and Breville have supplied extra C Clips should this become problematic in future. Easy to clean- I just ran components under warm water, but they are dishwasher safe. I’m actually looking forward to next ‘big juicing’
Excellent-No problems – I have had this juicer for many years. It is easy to clean. It is very quick and very easy to use. I use this regularly and have had no problems with it. The only con , is that it's a little heavy to lift in and out of the cupboard and place on the bench top. During the citrus season and during spring summer, I use this so much , it just stays on… Read more
my bench top, as it is fairly compact. I am recommending this , especially for people with families, we easily juice a bag of oranges in minutes. The pith and the seeds are automatically strained out , so the juice is delicious. I can't quite remember when I bought it but it has had a lot of use and I believe it is at least 5 years old.
love it/hate it – I love the concept of this juicer, the overall quality is crap. I make orange juice every day & need a quick reliable machine & after 2(of these Breville Citrus Press Pro 800CP just stopping, they just dont last. Never again, back using Aldi citrus juicer it has never had any problems in the years of use. Do not buy, if you get one given to you or… Read more
find a bargin on gumtree go for it, but dont be surprised when it dies. Also breville customer service is appalling.
Could do better – I have had this press for a week now and it is very good at doing what it's supposed to do. It seems simple and solid enough and clean up is quick and easy.It is also chunky enough to have it's own place on my kitchen counter top. Time will tell whether it will be a hand me down or end up under the sink with the Scotty dog biscuit tin. At $220… Read more
it's not cheap so I expected near perfection which sadly I don't have.
There is a cone on the handle for holding the fruit while pressing which constantly disengages itself and randomly drops of. Could the guys at Breville not figure out how to design that piece and left it to the 2nd year apprentice to work something out.Pretty poor finish to a otherwise decent machine. Then again if it said on the box there is a design fault with this product it may have affected sales
Anyway enough whinging. Bare in mind if you buy the press and can live with the cone problem this press can really only press hard skinned fruit such as oranges, grapefruit, pomegranates lemons and tangerines
Don't buy one if you don't have one and let me know in 5 years how it's lasted if you have one
Magnetic cone fails after 6 months. Breville says it is not covered by 2 year warranty – The magnetic cone that holds the fruit in place keeps falling off. I bought this in December 2017 for my mother who has a shoulder problem. So I contacted Breville, who offered to sell me one for $27.57 plus $10 postage.$37.57 each 6 months? No, I don't think so, Breville. This is the second appliance from Breville that has not been fit for… Read more
purpose.. I dont think I will be buying another one. Customer service is also non-existent, with it being made obvious that they just dont care. Maybe they bought that jacket too...
Excellent product, saves time, & easy to clean! – Because our family prefers the full flavor of fresh orange juice, I decided to purchase the Breville Citrus Press Pro after reading favourable reviews on www.productreview.com. I have used this product almost on a weekly basis to juice two bags of oranges for approximately 12 months and there is nothing to complain about. At first the… Read more
appliance did overheat and switch off, but this issue was resolved after I read the user manual. I realised that I had been juicing the fruit halves for too long and this resulted in the motor switching off to protect from overheating and burnout. The manual does state that "The 800 Class Citrus Press juices very quickly so each fruit half will be juiced in a few seconds". So I simply followed the directions, reduced the juicing time to a few seconds and the problem was solved. I have since, not had the appliance stop working and I can even juice two bags of oranges in one session, and do so quickly.
Cleaning is a breeze. After each use, the parts are very easy to remove and clean with soapy water.
Verdict: This product works exactly as advertised. The Citrus Press saves me time, is easy to clean and delivers fresh orange, grapefruit, lime and lemon juice that we can drink straight away or use to blend with watermelon and other fruits for a delicious juice.
Thank you Breville!

Brilliant - works very well – This citrus press works simply perfectly for us. In addition it is durable and very easy to clean. In my eyes the citrus press is worth every single cent if you have to process a lot of citrus fruit. The time saving compared to manual processing is staggering. As a result, no more body aches! Love This Product – Really happy with the juice I get from this product. So easy to clean! It is used every Sunday. Usually 2 largish oranges gets us a small glass for one. I juice 10 oranges with ease for the family, Have not had any issues with this product so far. Based on some of the reviews I hope it stays that way as I am loving my juicer!!! Show details
Overheats and crappy customer service – Machine over heats after 10 to 15 fruits being juiced. Called their customer service and a very rude man told me that this is normal. Breville, do not hire people who hate helping customers, its not that hard. I rarely write reviews about any product but this time I had to. Show details
Not great – Have had this for a couple of years and am generally happy with its performance EXCEPT that the cone has chipped and broken at the attaching spike and the coating on the body under the strainer and at the point where the cone attaches has chipped away and has left quite sharp and dangerous edges. I would not expect a product in this price range to… Read more · 1
be in this condition after a couple of years. We only ever juice 2 oranges per day so not overused.
Super – I bought top of the range ( commercial ) model at DJ. Have been using it for more than 5 years. In summer time I am a juiceboy and this juicer is top: lives oranges and grapefruit skins dry. Fast squeeze , easy 1 min clean & WIPE. ( about 8-10 oranges to 1 liter) Show 2 replies
Perfect Juicer – With 2 oranges you can have a glass of fresh juice in one minute. Takes all the orange pulp and makes a lot of juice. Very quiet to operate for early morning risers. Made of heavy duty steel, it is a must for any kitchen. Looks great on my kitchen bench too with my steel appliances. Love it!!!! Show 2 replies
Bulky Useless Piece Of Junk – I purchased this thinking I could juice lemons (when in season) and freeze, however after juicing just 7 lemons, I could smell something & I thought it may just be "the new motor smell", squeezed another 3 lemons and it stopped working. It was hot to touch and it smelt. I unplugged it and decided to try it again after 15 minutes. It squeezed one… Read more
lemon & stopped again. I called Breville and the first thing she asked me was "How many lemons did you squeeze?" I told her, & at the same time, I was thinking, What does it matter?? It is a bulky, expensive juicer. It is SUPPOSED to be made for juicing large quantity of juice. Why would someone purchase a BULKY EXPENSIVE juicer to juice 10 oranges????
I was told that the machine was not made to juice more than 10 oranges at a time & the machine then has to rest for 4 hours!!. ARE YOU FOR REAL??? I have 5 in my family. You need at least 3 oranges for a glass of orange juice. Do I just tell half of my family that they can have their morning orange juice at lunch time or maybe dinner time?
I have a NO BRAND small juicer that is over 15 years old and I have used it to squeeze NOT one but TWO boxes of oranges/lemons at a time, no smell, no rest. Why on earth would someone purchase an EXPENSIVE & BULKY machine so they can juice 3 glasses of orange juice at a time?
I was told the machine was faulty because of the smell, however
I returned the machine for a refund, NOT an exchange
THINK TWICE before purchasing. What a waste of time & money.

Disappointing and not value for money – We had a Breville Citrus Press and were so happy with it that we bought another one when the first one stopped working after many years use; however, we are extremely disappointed with the replacement. to be told that they had had no other reports of issues with this product - basically, they were totally disinterested and implied that it was our problem, not theirs! We expected a better quality product and better customer service; in our opinion, the Breville Citrus Press is extremely disappointing quality and value wise and we will never buy another again. In fact, we haven't bought another Breville product since.
Disappointing – I have had mine for over a year, worked well till this morning, the motor burned out, could smell the burnt out motor and smoke coming out. Have written to Breville this morning, will wait for their respond. Was good while it worked. Has anyone else had the same problem? motor burnt out this morning

Overheating/stops working and lost part – Great Machine, Have one that is around 5 years old, I think. i have Lost/misplaced the Juicer Cone, cannot seem to be able to buy a replacement. Loved it. finally a quiet product that is solid and easy to clean and can handle any size citrud – Hooray . What an improvement on my old plastic breville juicer that had a citrus attachment that required a finger breaking move to detach for cleaning and roared like a chainsaw. However i was gutted when the handle jammed in the secondweek. Thank goodness a reviewer on this site provided the solution _to tighten the screw. Breville should… Read more · 1
add that advice to instructions. So easy to clean. And it is not necessary to hold it down hard nor for very long. Just make sure the strainer and bowl bits are fitted in correct place . Happy and simple juicing! quiet and easy to clean and ss not plastic just a loose nut that results in handle malfunction. easily adjusted so no problem
Heavy duty citrus press – I had a few citrus juicers over the years but have now settled for the Breville Citrus Press. I bought it 6 months ago on sale. We juice citrus fruits about 3 times a week for a family of four. Three oranges will make a glass of juice. We use roughly 12 oranges at a time. We had a cheap plastic unit which was taking too long to juice and it… Read more · 1
broke after few months. We then bought a centrifugal juicer to juice different types of fruit and vegetable juices but the citrus juice did not taste the same as freshly press juice.
I saw the Breville citrus press in store and liked the solid feel and look of it. Did some research online and decided to buy it.
It is that easy to use that even the 3 years old will have a go at it. Cleaning only requires a quick brush and rinse or on busy mornings, the parts just go into the dishwasher.
The only problem I had with the citrus press to date is that the handle press mechanism was stuck and not moving properly. I found out that a screw at the back of the handle mechanism was loose and was rubbing against the body of the unit. After tightening the screw, the machine is working again.
The positives: What I like about this citrus press is its solid feel and the cool design. It looks good on the kitchen bench. It is very easy to use and will extract all the juice out of the fruit. You can easily juice various size citrus without having to change any parts (lime, lemon, orange, blood orange etc). The adjustable spout will fill up the glass while juicing and can be closed to avoid over spilt. The citrus juice taste better than using centrifugal juicer and you do not need to peel the fruits.
The negatives: Very expensive for a citrus press but I suppose you pay for quality. It is heavy and takes a bit of kitchen bench space. Did not expect the screw to become loose after such a short period.
I have made a video showing the citrus press in action. If you are interested to see how it works, please check the following link:

Overheating and Filtering Problems – I was amazed with the look and construction, really liked it in the shop. Started using it – very quiet operation, effortless juicing. But after a few oranges started overheating and nasty smell slowly filled in my kitchen, then it stopped dead. I waited 15 minutes and tried again, I tried to put as minimal pressure as possible during juicing.… Read more
After three oranges it stopped operating again. The smell spoiled my juice. Was very disappointed. Other minuses: The pulp filter was filling out too quickly. After squeezing all the juice from the orange (which is done extremely well) it stays with the pulp and getting thrown away. Great for juicing – Had the older version for years, using it most days. Though quite heavy in weight, best orange juice squeezer i've ever had however the lip eventually came off. Excellent juicer! Fast and easy to clean! – We love this juicer for so many reasons. You can make your juice in a clean and fast way. Extracting the juice is very easy with the soft grip handle. Love It But – I've had many citrus juicers but the Breville Citrus Press was my all-time favourite. Alas, though, after at least five years of smooth working, the arm seized and it wouldn't function. I had it repaired for about $45 and it worked for another year. Now, the same problem. I've been careful with that arm, making certain it doesn't get forced in… Read more · 1
any way, so am now worried I am on the hunt once again for the perfect juicer as shelling out $45 every year doesn't seem sensible.
Excellent – We love this machine. We have had it for a year now and use it very regularly without problem. It is an attactive machine that easily and quickly juices oranges and grapefruit. clean. Has the option of 2 filters to cater for those that don't like "the bits" of the fruit and those that do. Not too noisy (it doesn't wake the baby!). It quickly juices lots of fruit. The spout is quite low on the machine which means that you can't fit a tall glass under it. We have to use a coffee mug to catch the juice and then transfer into a taller glass.
Love Love Love this Juicer!!! – I bought this Citrus Press looking for something that not only got the job done, but also looked good - I found it in this. The kids can't get enough fresh orange juice, we use it every day. Great looking!!! … Read more
Love this appliance as it looks good, is extremely quiet, with minimum effort. Parts wash up quickly and easily, there are no awkward crevices to clean out. Nothing wrong. Takes up a little bit of bench space and a little heavy to keep moving in and out of the cupboard, so you want it on your bench for ease of frequent use. In saying that, I can forego a little room for the cirrus press.
