Absolutely disgusting never do work with them we had a old dishwasher cheap brand but thought we could fix it after sorting one thing out they would say now we have another part that’s the problem after months and so many parts they charged us $500 . My washing machine repairer even said they should advise u it’s not working the repairs in fixing , proud appliances take advantage of people and don’t care. I paid $500 and it still didn’t work

[Name Removed] from Proud Appliances, Perth, attended our enquiry to replace the damaged rubber seal for a Bosch front load washer quickly. He attended to the replacement efficiently and to our satisfaction. However, after several requests for a detailed receipt needed for our rental apartment, and promises to email the receipt to us 'later… Read more

today', 3 weeks later we are still waiting. For this reason we can only give [Name Removed] two stars. We wont use his services again. Bettina

ABSOLUTE JOKE ! – Waiting 2 years for job to be done, he changed business address but still no return email or phone call, asked for money or item to be returned, said it would be done in 7 days, six months later he moved without telling me where, 2 years of emails with fake excuses. For those in a similar position, his new address is 23/4 WICKS ST, BAYSWATER, drop in and say hi.

SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE......... from Reception to poor communication to the manager – In fairness to the narrative of this truthful account - my wife has used Proud Appliances for the duration of our paid for 5-year warranty washing machine. When it broke in years previously- Proud Appliances came round and the organised technician fixed it - basically - did his job he was paid to do under warranty. Fast forward to Tuesday 15th… Read more

March - the very same "out of warranty" washing machine was not working as it should - albeit now 7 years old - and had an issue with programs and cycles. BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAKING! The OWNER of Proud Appliances came round to investigate in person - but arrived 1hr late....... no apology or txt to say he was running late......... He then fiddled round with the washing machine and took away the cap at the bottom of the machine for some reason - saying that the item probably needed a bearing and will send on a quote. He left after charging us the call out fee of $149 + 15 minutes labour $45 ...approx $180 - $190. Roughly

When we used the washing machine again - it leaked all over the floor....... deeming the appliance unusable in the process. To add insult to this calamitous offering..... We then got a quote from him for OVER $1000 - When you can purchase the same item on a five year covered warranty for exactly $872 delivered. ............ The above turn of events are utterly true and please make your own mind up on if to use this repair company that states on their website " If it’s broken… we’ll fix it." In the 20 years I have resided in Perth - I would place Proud Appliances at the very bottom of the list in the "customer service champions league".

Scam! Do Not Give Them Any Money! – I do not know how these con artists are still in business?! They told me they had the part and would install it on the day which was a 2 weeks wait. When the technician arrived he didnt have the part and charged us $150 for the quote and said they had to order the part, upon calling and talking to the woman that works there she lied and said we… Read more

never told her the oven model and couldn t order the part without it, I did tell her the oven part info because i wrote down everything i said to her and what she said to me because of past lies from them, but why did they wait 2 weeks to not notify us they didnt have the part..because this is where the Prouds scam comes in. they charge you $150 if they do nothing!!! then you wait weeks for them to have the part they already had.. Do not trust these people! they will scam you!! they did it to us twice, once before with a dish washer.. Last time Prouds you are not getting anymore money out of us.

If it’s broken... we won’t fix it... but we’ll charge you for it! – If you are reading this, you may be looking to fix an appliance an wondering if you should call Proud Appliances? Well, don’t! I’ll cut a long story short: terrible service/accounts department/communication. Had to take them to Department of Consumers Affairs. Billed $390.00 for no work done and an appliance I had to replace. Grab your local paper… Read more

and find an honest repairer, you’ll be in front. First time ever I used them and there won’t be a second! This is a genuine review, consider it!

Not Transparent – After supplying all details ie model number that I got from inside the fridge 2nd drawer the problem that I had, the water dispenser kept running even after the glass was removed from the recess I was sent a service person who spent exactly 5min taking down the model number on his phone instead of taking a photo of the plate in the fridge. Tried… Read more

the water dispenser saw it leaking, said I needed a valve which would cost between $200--$300 + labour & GST. He then asked for the $149 call out charge, what a rort. I have nothing the service person he is only doing as directed by his superiors. Why cannot the company be up front and include the call out fee with the repair. To conclude they charge $120ph plus you pay for the freight charges, does the blood sucking ever stop. NOT HAPPY.

oven repairs – I have been satisfied to date with this company until my latest experience! My problem was not resolved by the service man and on contacting the office my complaint was completely ignored and when I explained my concern was just quoted repeatedly the Ts & Cs and not offered any assistance. My original problem has not been solved.....consequently I will not be using Prouds again and certainly would not recommend this company.

Should not be a Breville Repair Agent – I dropped my coffee machine in for a warranty repair 5 weeks ago and it still have not been looked at and is unlikely to be looked at for another 2 to 3 weeks. Two months for a Breville warranty repair; Proud Appliances do not deserve to be a Breville agent as they cannot deliver repairs in a timely manner.

Great service :) – Great outcome from an unfortunate circumstance! Washing machine died after the storm, but I called them and they had someone out the next day. The girl on the phone was friendly and helpful, and the man who came out was honest and friendly too! Would definitely recommend :)

Absolutely terrible – If i could rate this company a zero I would. They "repaired" our Smeg oven 3 times (each time at a cost to us) and still it didn't work properly. After we complained they came out to the house and tried to charge us a service fee and to replace parts we had already replaced and paid for. We queried this and 2 months later they called us with the… Read more

excuse they had been busy and were prepared to waive the service fee but not the parts. We gave up on Proud appliances and bought a new oven. Do not waste your time. Poor customer service and poor workmanship.

A worker with a so called Hearing Disability – Brand new $730 rangehood, annoying ringing noise from day one (when you turn the fan on) Warrently investigation The worker stated that they have been diagnosed with Tinnitus therefore they're unable to hear the ringing sound with my rangehood, stating "this is the normal sound of air sucking up". After going back and forth stating "Well I can… Read more

hear the sound mate, i'm not lying". The worker finally conceded and begrudgingly got his ladder to investigate.

Next time, if you're going to send someone to investigate a noise, don't hire someone with a so called hearing disability.

I honestly don't understand why I needed to stand my ground on this, the look on his face told me that he could hear the noise too but either A) couldn't be bothered investigating. B) He wanted to claim that this isn't a warranty problem and to charge me for the call out ($140) instead of billing the rangehood company (maybe there's an incentive to do the latter)

Excellent service – I have used Proud appliances 3 times over the past 2 years - Dryer, washing machine and just today, dishwasher. I have had nothing but good experiences both when phoning and with appointments. They arrive when they say they will and on each occasion they have been helpful and friendly. I remember the first time they had to hassle Bosch to get… Read more

parts and they came on a Saturday morning as I needed the job done fairly urgently. Prices have always been reasonable and I found the servicemen to be knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend.

Terrible customer service – We had to cancel our appointment as we had to take our one year old to the Emergency Department. Due to the emergency we had to cancel at short notice, the reason why was conveyed to the lady who answered the phone however she was extremely rude. The company still requested a cancellation fee which we didn't pay and they've now had debt collectors harassing us.

Terrible service and horrible treatment of customers – Terrible service and treatment of customers. Shameful repair company should be out of business. I won’t recommend Proud Appliances to my worst enemy. Worst repair company I ever dealt with.

Do not use. Expensive and poor customer service – Would not recommend them at all. Very poor & rude customer service. I have written them an email of complain on the 14th Feb but still no response despite sending it twice. I needed my fridge door fixed as it wasn't closing properly and the seal on my freezer had split so I thought I would get them repaired together. I had to get pay for the… Read more

parts up front and was charged freight of $35 for each part and then when they came to repair the seal I was told that the double sided tape was not included so was then charge another $73 for a roll which was apparently forgotten to be included in the original quote. All up it cost me nearly $500 and if I had gone directly to Miele it would have been a lot cheaper. I will never use them again!!!

Ridiculous customer service – Completely agree with the two previous reviews, the customer service is pathetic! Was told to drop off and would be a week, called 10 days later and found they hadn’t even started fixing. Apparently lots of sick calls, couldn’t find my appliance....etc etc

Hopeless – Do yourself a favour and stay away from this company. Customer service is absolutely zero - won't book in appliances so you have to just drop the appliance in then wait several weeks until they get around to doing the work. Why on earth they don't allow you to drop it in a day or so before they are able to look at it is beyond me. Appliance out of action for weeks for a service. Pathetic company that shouldn't be in business.

Pathetic – We first utilised the services of proud appliances about 8 weeks ago, when our oven door was just out of warranty & required repair. The initial process was painless. We booked in a time, a repair man attended and took our door & promised a speedy return. This occurred, within a week, we had our oven door back & all seemed to be swell.... … Read more

Until...

The day our door was reinstalled, we received a call from their office for payment of the invoice. $130 more than the original quote. We were informed that the manager would ring us back to rectify this issue. I’m still waiting.

Upon the first use of our newly repaired oven, it appeared that the so called repair, had actually caused an entirely new issue all together and instead of our oven door having a minor fault, it now has a fault that actually causes harm... and burns the user every time we use it.

Fast forward a few more weeks, and still no word from management, we receive a final notice for payment of invoice from Proud. I responded to this email stating the issue and outlining the fact we were still waiting to hear back from management and that the invoice was going to remain unpaid until the repairs, had been repaired!

Cue rude, smug and vile receptionist. Apparently, the company has a policy that requires all outstanding invoices to be paid, prior to repairs being made, even if the repairs haven’t actually repaired the problem you were meant to be paying for. Are you for real!!!?

Now hear we are, a week after this pointless conversation with said reception staff & less than 24hrs after receiving another reminder email, with phone calls, emails and texts from a collection company demanding we pay nearly Double what the initially over priced invoice stated. And an oven that still remains dangerous to use! Looks like we’re headed to small claims court & an unnecessary battle ahead of us!

Do yourself a favour and stay well away from this company. They are dishonest, sneaky and their workmanship is worse than second rate!
