Convoluted loan process and unreliable time frames advertised – Applied for a loan on the Monday while putting a car on hold with a dealer, as website advertises loan outcomes within 2-3 days. After 3 days repeatedly called to enquire for loan offer but call staff (who were fantastic) could not reach loan team on any occasion and sent messages to call me back which didn't happen over 3 days. and then after calling and emailing to withdraw loan application, I then received a call to complete loan and was told they only receive it a day earlier and given a range of excuses about how busy she was and blaming it on referral process within the bank. Was told by one call operator that a credit check would not have been completed until they spoke with us, while the loan consultant later told us it definitely has been done, so my credit score has been affected through this experience. Internal processes seem convoluted and unreliable, and advertised time frames are inaccurate.

2 x Interest Rate Increase in 4 months – I understand variable loans, however I have had many car loans at lower fixed interest rates. This bank has increased my car loan interest rate twice in 4 months. Bet it won’t go back down when they interest rates come down.
Great rates but process was a bit outdated – I found there whole process a bit outdated. My application was made online and then I received an email saying it was been received and was being processed. I would feel much more comfortable if there was a portal where I could access what I needed on demand and also submit documentation via a more secure channel.
Despite that, the process was simple, fast, and when I did email and express concerns or need information, the customer service was exceptional.

They decline the loan before even getting it assessed – Both my wife and I have good incomes never missed payments on anything, got lots of savings and the manager of the Booval has decided before submitting the application we not eligible. unbelievable. comparisons, QCB's rates were the lowest in the market, so much so that even finance brokers said they weren't able to beat it. Trisha gave me information straight up and was incredibly supportive when I was going through the paperwork and submission. She was transparent and honest thorughout the process. It didn't take very long - less than three days for me to know the outcome. A really big plus with using Queensland Country is that it's very personal service - you really are speaking to A) a human being B) A professional C) a Queenslander. Trisha ensured that communication with the dealer happened on time and initiated contact and didn't wait for the dealer. In fact, the worst thing about the whole process is how slow the dealership has been. She also gave me a very competitive quote with insurance - it was half of what I'd been quoted by competitors for the same insurables. I have no hesitations recommending QCB or Trisha for any loan or mortgage requirements and look forward to dealing more with this regional bank. Also, despite being a local, I never once had to pop instore to complete documentation, saving me a lot of time. Bonus!

spoke with a broker who made it sound like I wouldn't be able to get the best rate - I'm so glad I decided to find my own loan because this is definitely the best rate I could find, with a low application fee and low monthly service fees.
