Disgusting. Charged almost $2k for a 5 minute job as was 'emergency call out'. Took advantage of me. Rude. Have since blocked my number.
The plumber charged $800 for a small job completed in 15 mins. I have to wait for him over 7 hours. Other plumbers would charge around $300. Not recommended at all.
QUEST PLUMBERS Would rate ZERO STARS if possible. Highway robbery!! Stated that the call out fee would be wavied and still charged my wife for it. Did not Process the refund as promised. Overcharged for the job and left a huge mess. AVOID AT ALL COST,.
The biggest scam company I’ve ever dealt with to unblock a sewer 1 hours work $2450 their a joke.
Absolute Scam, charged us $1700 for plastic pipe fix that took less than 1 hour to fix. AKA Bens 24h Plumbing, AKA Plumbing Point. Avoid at all costs.
Same complaints as all the others. Plumbing company called for urgent drain blockage for rental accommodation. Fixed the problem in less than an hour and requested payment of $2500. Previous 2 urgent plumbing jobs with same problem cost $400 and $600. My wife paid up (I would not have). Out and out sharks. Stay well clear of Plumbing Point and Quest Plumbers!!
Terrible and Dodgy, Woiuldnt give their lisence no and tried to increase the bill doing unnecessary things. Would not recommend.
Go with another emergency service. particularly on a Sunday. We had damage to our shut off valve so couldnt shut water off after a tap was run over. Was told by plumber who attended he couldnt just shut off water and leave it until tomorrow for repair. Should have read previous reviews. $2,000 for 30min work
Due to a water heater problem on Friday 14th November we called an organisation called "Bens Plumbing" who agreed to send a technician to our apartment. The website indicated a potential call-out fee of approximately $500 but implied this would depend on works done. The technician arrived about 6.30pm. He took absolutely no action on the water… Read more
heater - no inspection of the heater to determine what the problem was - but simply suggested it needed replacing with a different brand that he had access to. He charged us $499 without conducting any inspection. But the charge to MasterCard was to Quest Plumbers. We called the original phone number for "Bens Plumbing" requesting a refund of the $499 but the request was rejected. We strongly recommend that great care is taken when contacting emergency plumbers or electricians to ensure the contact is not associated with Quest Plumbers.
Absolute scammer. Had a blocked pipe. Contacted Ben's Local Plumbing. Needed it repaired ASAP. Advised $99 call out fee. Stated plumber will be there within the hour. Plumber arrives, states it's $949 plus GST and I need to pay upfront. 5mins later with the jet blaster, unblocks the pipe. I say to him "Over $1000 for that" and he just packs up… Read more
and leaves. Then, I notice the message from my bank that the plumber was from Quest plumbing. I tried to ring Ben's Local Plumbing, no answer. I message him questioning the exorbitant cost. He replies stating it's a fixed price no matter the time spent. Stay away. Learnt my lesson. Will now always check reviews before booking thieves like these.
I had a blocked drain and to do a 10 minutes camera and the water jet was charged $2200 for an hour. Very expensive. when you are in distress don’t don’t get into their trap as you don’t want to end in 2200 bill for an hour. Also I just learnt that they have two other trading names under company registration. Please be aware that thee is no… Read more

I wish I had of read the reviews before I had this arrogant person attend the property. His attitude and lack of customer service should have given me the first warning. Second warning, when I explained the brand and problem, before he attend the property, his negative attitude worried me. I had to follow up Quest several times. When he… Read more
finally attended the property, he looked at the units and said they needed "Gas Valves" and they are no longer available. Then sent me an invoice, not a quote!!!! I looked on the internet and found companies that did provide "Gas Valves" for the brand and models!!! I contacted Quest with this information, I suggested I order the "Gas Valves", have them delivered to the property for him to fit. I added that I would not expect to pay a second service fee. His response was I must pay the invoice sent to me!!!!! I spoke with another Gas Plumber, he gave me the names of 2 other Plumbers that service these heaters. Bosse Plumbing contacted the property the same day I spoke to them, attended in two days and fixed both Gas Log Heaters. Thank you BOSSE PLUMBING. BE AWARE - QUEST I WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING YOUR COMPANY OR TRADES PEOPLE.
Complete scam artists. After charging $200 call out fee for a Saturday job (which was ok, I agreed to that) they quoted $1,400 to fix a broken outdoor pipe. Told them to get lost. Had another plumber come an hour later and do the job for $300. Avoid Quest at all costs

Know better, choose better.
I couldn't select zero, so 1 star will have to be it. These guys have no morals. They charged $1300 for 15mins work to replace a $10 tap. They don't reply to emails, their phone redirects, without any message, to a service that they also don't answer, unless of course you say it's urgent. Good luck trying to contact them. Show details
If I could give 0 stars I would! I was charged $600 for a problem that didn't exist! I had no hot water and have a Rinnai water heater and all it was was a tripped switch, as I found out later as the same thing happened, and the plumber made up some lies that it needed a service and asked me to pay upront and then at the end went to my… Read more
switchboard and then said, you should have hot water now. Do not use this company! i was taken advantage of because I am a female who doesn't know plumbing. I have emailed the company twice and no one is replying back! Very poor customer service and dishonest tradies and company who just rip people off! Stay away!!!
Scam company and dont allow cancellation even call within 3 mins. Dont understand their on site check aswell. pay 99 aud but do nothing, just have a eye check then it's gone. Avoide this guys.
Would give 0 stars if I could. This guy charges like 1k to unblock a toilet. uses push and aggressive sales tactics. Total scum.
Thieves – Stay away. Absolute thieves and charlatans. Charged over $1000 for ten minutes labour and a five dollar part. They play on people’s vulnerability in difficult situations and are pushy to try to get you to pay. If you are unfortunate enough to have them attend tell them to get lost when they quote their outrageous price.
Thieves – These guys are thieves, stay away from them, they also operate business in different names like anytime plumbing. Did half the job and then left it in the middle saying need leake detection and charging 3 times the market price. Avoid at all cost!! 0 rating!
Dishonest plumbers – I called quest plumber for a tap leak in my bathroom. When the guy came the situation was already sorted. He said I still need to pay him 200$ call out fee because he came at my place. The guy said he’ll send me a receipt so that i can ask my landlord for a refund. I agreed to pay him cash. The guy never sent me the receipt. I called quest… Read more
plumbing today. The receptionist said the plumber said I cancelled the job as I got another plumber to fix it. I don’t recommend working with this company as they check if their plumbers are reliable and honest. The guy made Let’s go we’re gonna be close. We come after okay? I am a beauty therapist in the area and my boyfriend a restaurant we will never recommend this company
Avoid this company, they charged a pensioner $2000 for a 12 minute job – At approximately 4pm, Sunday 10 November 2024, I phoned Quest Plumbers (a trading name of Plumbing Point Pty Ltd, Melbourne) to request an emergency plumber to attend, advise and hopefully repair a broken flexible mains water pipe I had pierced whilst digging in my front garden. I was suffering from considerable anxiety and stress when I phoned,… Read more
as I explicitly indicated during the call. Moreover I am a 70 year old man who probably shouldn’t have been digging.
[Name Removed] attended the site at 6.10pm. He initially doubted he could do the repair, given as he described it, “an unusual diameter of pipe”. I had in the gap between phoning and [Name Removed] attending, turned off the mains, dug out the pipe further, removed the water, and identified and marked exactly where the pipe had been pierced. [Name Removed] examined the pipe, phoned someone else, presumably his boss, and then went to get parts, as I understood, from his warehouse, taking up to 30 minutes before returning. He proceeded to cut out a length of existing pipe without any further digging, used two screw-on connectors, and a short length (500mm) of replacement pipe, completing the job by 6.50pm, exactly. [Name Removed] took no more than 12-15 minutes to do the actual repair work. I timed it.
Before he started the job, [Name Removed] advised, as I had understood (wrongly as it turned out) the cost would be $550 plus the call-out charge. I agreed to this fee. I initialed a page on his iPad signifying my agreement, as requested. I duly paid what I thought was this amount before he started work, using my phone to make payment via my Visa.
At no time was I offered or presented with an invoice or statement of costs, nor a breakdown of the costs (parts, labour, time spent). Nor even any description of the work.
Since the work was completed, I realised that the actual fee I had been charged was a few dollars shy of $2,000. I revealed this on checking my Visa card statement online later that same night. I don’t dispute I had made the payment via the plumber’s visa machine, and that if I had been more aware and less stressed, would have seen the amount being charged displayed on this machine.
A couple of weeks after this work had been done, the repair was evidently leaking once more. Our water pressure dropped and the 150mm of earth (yes, I realise this is very shallow) over this section of the mains water pipe carrying the water from the water meter to the house was soaked with water once more. So I had a second plumber visit to redo the repair. I didn’t want the original plumber back given his inability to fix the original problem. Nor did I want to pay another $2000 for a second repair, which presumably would have been the case. My second plumber, described Quest Plumbers as a ‘cowboy company’, he told me they were well known for preying on the vulnerable.
I did originally attempt to get some redress from Quest Plumbers, writing in an email that the amount I had paid far exceeded in any reasonable way, the value of the work completed. Of course I was willing to pay over the odds since it was a Sunday and an emergency call. I thought $800 or so would have been more than appropriate. But I was firmly told, by return of email, there would be no refund or compensation. And therein the issue went unresolved. I had paid, stupidly and in a heightened state of anxiety, $2000 for a repair that took 12 minutes and three simple plastic parts to complete. And lasted less than 10 days.
I also tried to phone the office of Quest Plumbers, repeatedly, but the phone went unanswered all the next day (Monday). I assume because they had no intention of speaking with me.
I’ve gone to some length here to describe my experience with Melbourne based Quest Plumbers (trading under the umbrella of Plumbing Point Pty Ltd) to draw attention to my experience. And to hopefully stop anyone else, pensioner like myself, or otherwise, paying $2000 for a similar type of emergency plumbing repair. I was stupid, I acted under considerable stress and anxiety and signed away in matter of seconds, a ridiculously high fee to an unscrupulous plumbing company who saw an opportunity to exploit a pensioner in a highly charged and stressful situation. A company which, when pleaded with after the fact, still refused to charge a more appropriate fee for their 12 minutes of work.
I don’t regard myself as gullible. And yet I was completely taken in by this company. Not only taken in but ruthlessly exploited. I was a fool. I’m writing this in the hope you will see through them if you ever have the misfortune of contacting or coming across them.
