We purchased the original bed base in Tasmanian oak after researching online, it was super easy to assemble, it’s so sturdy with no more creaking! and it looks great. Lovely solid timbers, well-finished pieces (no splinters!), easy and sturdy construction - and the service was very good too. Loved that these are Australian products made from Australian timbers. Certainly would deal with the company again.

Love this bed! Really easy to put together, it's silent and it's beautiful timber. My bed head struts were broken during a house move (from some aggressive handling, not due to build quality) and Quokka even replaced them at zero cost! I'm so happy I went with a locally made product. Show reply

Thanks Quokka team for the great bed that does not creak. We ordered the additional side tables that attach to the bed. They are great for a smaller space and are very solid. It’s a beautiful bed and I love being able to support Australian made and Australian timbers that are sustainable. Fabulous Bedbase – Love our Bed base and headboard, looks great and making the bed is a breeze. Needs two people too assemble, but was fairly quick and easy to do. Made a huge difference to how our mattress felt. Probably the only thing I was a little dissapointed in was the colour I chose, it's a little bit darker than I anticipated. Simple and beautiful – Simple, beautiful and really easy to assemble. Smelled like fresh cut timber when opened, dissipated within a few days (sadly for me, loved the smell). Seems sturdy and didn't notice any creaks. The colour of the wood is georgeus (clear rose gum). Show details ·  1

Beautiful Natural Bed – All communication with Quokka was clear and honest and they produced a product that I love. Surprising Quality – Upon delivery I was a little suspicious about my purchase as it seemed that the bed base was not going to be that solid as the pieces seemed kind of flimsy for a bed base. I was very wrong. The base is as solid ans anything that has double the building material and does not move or make any squeaks, rattles, or other noises. Looks great, very easy to assemble – Looked at lots of beds, the quokka was the only one I liked as it combined quality, minimalist style (particularly important as the bedroom isn't that big) and fair price. Had to wait a while for delivery as they are made to order but the website was very upfront about this so I managed my expectations. Very happy with the bed though and would recommend to others!
